The highest package offered during IIT Madras MBA placements in 2024 was INR 29.65 LPA. The course-wise IIT Madras highest package offered during DOMS IIT Madras placements between 2023 and 2024 is tabulated below:

IIT Madras admissions are entrance exam based. Candidates need to clear the National-level entrance exams for admissions to various courses. For MBA admissions, candidates should have a valid CAT score to appear for CAT Counselling. Based on IIT Madras cut off for MBA, candidates can get admission as per their corresponding rank. Candidates who want MBA admission can visit the official website of CAT to fill the application form online. At the time of CAT application candidates also need to submit the application fee on the portal. 

To seek admission to the BTech programme offered at IIT Madras, candidates need to visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and fill out the application form in online mode for JEE Main. For other courses such as MSc, MTech, BS-MS (Dual Degree) etc., candidates must visit the official website of the respective national-level entrance exam conducting bodies and fill out the application form in online mode. IIT Madras admission to most of the courses is entrance-based. 

The institute has released branch-wise salary data for BTech and M.Tech courses. As per the report, the highest package offered to BTech, DD, and IDDD students from CSE was INR 1.31 crore per annum and for M.Tech CSE, the highest package stood at INR 54.21 LPA. IIT Madras JEE Advanced cutoff 2024 was concluded for different courses such as BTech, Integrated BTech and BS. The cutoff for the General AI category candidates closed at a range of 159 and 10682. During 2023, the cutoff ranks for the same was closed at a range of 148 and 11185. For IIT Madras MSc admission, candidates need to apply online via IIT JAM. After successful registration, candidates are then required to appear for the entrance exam. Selected candidates are then called for the counselling round as a final selection round. IIT JAM registration window for IIT Madras MSc admission 2023 is now closed. IIT JAM exam 2023 is scheduled for February 12. IIT Guwahati, the exam conducting authority will release the admit card on January 10.

IIT Madras provides UG, PG, and doctoral courses. The courses include BTech, BTech-MTech (Dual Degree), BS-MS (Dual Degree), Integrated MA, MTech, MBA, MSc, MS by Research and PhD. IIT Madras has also started for an 8-week free online course on Data Science.

For MBA, students cannot get direct entry to DoMS IIT Madras. There is a rigorous selection criteria set for the same which is inclusive of a valid score in CAT exam, students' past academic performance, performance in PI round, etc. For E-MBA and PGPEX-VLM, however, admission is offered based on the score in the entrance exam conducted by the institute.
