A college where you can enjoy your campus life without strict rules and regulations.
Placements: Placements are lower when compared to other courses. But the job opportunities we get are vast. The course itself has some good scope. Food analyst, quality controller, and food inspector are some of the of the major roles available for our course. The scope for this course is widely available outside India. A greater number of food technologists are needed in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.
Infrastructure: I am not a hosteller, but I've heard my friends say that the infrastructure of the hostel is good. However, the food there is considerably less than good and needs some improvement. The hostel wardens are strict and consider timing to be an integral part.
Faculty: Teachers are really amazing. Most of them have completed their Ph.D. in their respective fields. They are very friendly towards the students and interaction with the teachers is never really a problem. The staff are really cool, and you can discuss anything with them apart from your academic part. They provide guidance regarding placements and other competitive exams and also give training to crack those exams as well.
Other: Even though the campus life and experience are good, there are not so many festivals celebrated in our college. Only one of them is celebrated. Onam is the only festival celebrated. It would be a lot better if other festivals were also celebrated. I would suggest celebrating festivals like Diwali and Pongal, which are major Tamil festivals.

I'm satisfied with infrastructure of our college.
Placements: Our department provides many placements. The highest salary offered is Rs.25,000 per month. They provide training from the 3rd year. The roles offered are food quality controller, production department, research lab, marketing, and advertisement, depending on the requirements of the companies.
Infrastructure: The ambiance and infrastructure of our college are good and enjoyable. It lacks some necessities on which they are working. Laboratory has some limitations in machines but is being updated with many new machines and other technologies. The infrastructure and facilities of the hostel are disappointing. Food and other facilities are not good.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are helpful, supportive, friendly, and well-qualified. The course curriculum is very important that covers all the parts of this field. It does not make students ready for the industry as they provide less practical lessons.
Other: I chose this course because it is interesting and easy to grab. The best thing about this course is it applies to our daily life. Students learn more about food quality and other technical things. Students can enjoy their college life as it organises many events and symposiums.

Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology has a good campus and placements for the IT field.
Placements: A few students get placed in food technology because they started the department a few years ago. So placements are very less but some students are placed in good companies like Aavin government, Milma, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is neat and nice. The college has a food technology lab which includes many machines for practical laboratory studies. They also provide Wi-Fi. There is a common library for all departments which is a calm and peaceful place where we can read books related to our own subject.
Faculty: Teachers are good, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. They provide nice lectures. Students do not get practical knowledge but theoretically, they are good. The college is autonomous so they have its own quality and standards. The course is good and highly demanded in future.
Other: I chose this course because food technology is an interesting course compared to other departments because of its subject and content. The department is completely different from others. It is highly demanded in the future. The college has good surroundings and a lot of space it is crowded with a lot of students. It organises Mallu fest, a Tamil traditional fest, and campus fest itself.

College with good infrastructure, and campus life.
Placements: Lot of students get internships, and jobs. Opportunities provided are great in our college, and some students in my class got internshat parle, waycool etc. So I recommend our college and course, for the others too.
Infrastructure: Canteen is available, at affordable cost for the students. There are various canteens available for the students, like foodie,90's, shoba canteen etc. Labs and classroom facilities are good. The library is great, with so many books. There are playgrounds, and shuttle courts for sports.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, and they guide us. The exams are great. The course curriculum is related to the industry, and the semesters are easy, when we follow the guidance of our teachers, and put in some hardwork. Teachers are really helpful in guiding.
Other: There are lots of events in the college, and the campus life is amazing.

Really good infrastructure and facilities
Placements: Almost 40 percent of students get placed .I think highest package of college is 7 lakhs.Top roles include quality control and quality checking. There is seperate placement cell in our college which help us to prepare for government exams too and other interviews
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is one of the the best in coimbatore and hostel are somehow ok.Our college has best atmosphere in any climate and it is very eco friendly.Hostels has timing upto 5 for girls and night 10 for boys.Outside food and goods delivery is also approved in college
Faculty: Teachers are those who gained Phd and those who are doing Phd and there are professors and assistant professors in campus.Teachers are friendly with students and also strict at academic matters .We can ask any help related to studies and also share any problems
Other: As food is basic necessities of world food technology is always on top.Its the food technologists who involve mainly in packaged food industry. In our campus we have cultural programs and science programs
