Best college in West Bengal for engineering. Awesome placements and a huge campus view.
Placements: This year, 96% of students have successfully secured placements. The range of packages offered this year varies from 2.5 lacs to 16 lacs, with an average placement of 4.5 lacs. The top recruiting companies predominantly belong to the IT sector, including Infosys, HCL, Capgemini, Accenture, IBM, and Tech Mahindra, among others. Additionally, the internship opportunities provided are exceptional.
Infrastructure: Our college has a total of 11 hostels, with 8 designated for boys and 3 for girls. Additionally, we have two spacious playing grounds and a vast library housing approximately 10,000 books. Furthermore, our college provides essential facilities, such as an ambulance and a health care center, for the well-being of our students.
Faculty: The faculty members at the school are extremely supportive and helpful. With a total of 250 faculty members, students can rely on their guidance and assistance throughout their academic journey. The academic year consists of two semester exams and six internal exams. While the semester exams may pose a bit of a challenge, the internal exams are relatively easier. In order to pass the exams, students must achieve a minimum of 60% marks.

Haldia institute of good extra curriculum activities. You will enjoy in this college.
Placements: Around 80% of students are placed in the Computer Science & Engineering course. The highest package is 23 LPA, the lowest package was 1.5 LPA, and the average package is 4-5 LPA. Wipro, TCS, and Accenture are the top companies for my course. Almost 90% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: Haldia Institute of Technology has old classrooms. Classrooms do not look good. Labs are good though. This college has good labs, and every machine and instrument are available. The hostel of this college is really bad. Every room is filled with 3-4 students. There is no closet in the rooms.
Faculty: Faculty members are not up to the mark. They are average teachers and have average knowledge about the course. Some faculty members are good; they help in the study of students. The course curriculum is relevant. Yes, it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult. 70-80% of students pass the semester.
Other: Haldia Institute of Technology organizes fests, sports, and many activities. This is famous for its fest.

Around 5 to 10 percent of companies offer internships, and all students get internships through the college for their industrial field.
Infrastructure: There are 10 hostels in my college, 7 for boys and 3 for girls, each with separate hostels for each year. Our college has excellent infrastructure, including a large library with free Wi-Fi. Approximately 1000 computers are available on campus, covering an area of approximately 39 acres with two playing grounds, a gym, a garden, several small shops, and a famous structure called the "Four Pillars," etc. The quality of food in the hostel mess is average. Two ambulances are always available, and all types of games are played here.
