Average placement as per a Tier 3 college.
Placements: Average placements of package 4 LPA are offered. The season starts in September, and many companies visit. Companies like Capgemini, Infosys, and Cognizant are the mass recruiters. But if you expect more than you need to prepare for off-campus from the start. One genuine suggestion is don't rely completely on college, if your luck works, you get a good job as some good companies also visit, but their intake is minimal, so it's about your luck sometimes.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good overall. The campus is big enough. It includes a well-equipped lab and a separate library on campus (ACL). The hostel is better in terms of the fee. You get a good environment here with friends. Food is not that good and not too bad. You can also order from the campus cafeteria.
Faculty: The semester exam is not difficult if your attendance is 70%, as most things are already covered during classes. Apart from the course curriculum, you should be upskilled with the latest technology if you want to pursue software roles. It would help, but for the core. Completely focus on the labs. The teacher will support you if they find your worth. They give you a relevant separate project from the course.
Other: My batch is 2022-26 (Electronics and Communication Engineering). This course gives you flexibility to choose either core or tech jobs, but make sure you decide what to choose at the beginning, as many exams, like GATE and some other government exams, have vacancies for the ECE branch. The cultural fest happens every year, named Reveira. Last time, guests were Shilpa Rao and Ashneer Grover. It happens generally in April.

Absolutely amazing, value for money, placement mind blowing, if you want a bright future.
Placements: In my ECE branch, approximately 91 percent get placed. This year, the highest package offered is 75 LPA. In our college, 100 percent of students got internships. 1st-year students also get internships in their 1st month. Tata Motors, Adani Group, Bajaj, Microsoft, Google, MRF, CEAT, Bajaj, etc., companies take a crucial role in our college.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are mind-blowing, with free Wi-Fi, personal playing group, water facilities, and many more. A 4k library is also present there, named as Arya Bhatt central library. All national and international books are present there. It provides fully AC, notice cancellation rooms in library, and free Wi-Fi to do online classes. Classrooms are also fully air-conditioned.
Faculty: Teachers are really knowledgeable. They help every step to grow and build our careers. Teachers are of HD quality, and they teach in a beautiful manner. No class bunking at all, and mentor is present for all of us. They provide 24-hour mentoring facility and many more, and you can ask doubts at any time.

I am satisfied with the faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: 70-80% of students get placed in our course. The highest package is 20 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA. The average package ranges from 5-6 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra. VLSI and IT companies hire students from the college. Students get internships through their own networking, and those who do not get any internship, the college arranges a joint internship program for them.
Infrastructure: All subjects that are in our course have labs like digital electronics, signal systems, microprocessors, microcontrollers, VLSI design, electronics devices and circuits, microwave, etc. Wi-Fi is present in the hostel rooms. Classrooms have AC and smart board facilities. The library has each departmental book and all sources are available. The food is awesome in both the hostel and the canteen. One ambulance is always present to treat the injured students. It has 3 football grounds, a basketball court, a swimming pool, and a carrom board. Each hostel also has a badminton court and other facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and they all are PhD holders. They are also knowledgeable. The teaching quality is between average and good. The course curriculum is GATE specified and follows the MAKAUT syllabus. It makes students partially ready for the industry. Exams are of a medium range. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I love this branch. I also want to do M.Tech in VLSI design, so I chose this course. The best thing is that I have the choice to get a placement in the hardware and software fields. There are multiple directions in which I will proceed in my future journey. There are a lot of clubs in college, like dance and singing. It provides education to privileged students. It has technical clubs, and each department has its own clubs, so they organise many events. Fests are also organised. The campus surroundings have trees and roads, so it looks beautiful. Scholarships are available. MAR and MOOCs are there to conduct extracurricular activities.

It is a nice college for the B.Tech course.
Placements: There is a good placement rate. Almost 95% of students got placed this year. The highest package offered in my college is 40 LPA. Placements of Haldia Institute of Technology in every department are good and decent. Here, every student gets a proper opportunity for their future.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college (Haldia Institute of Technology) has been acquired. There are many hostels inside the campus and one hostel outside of the campus, which is the best hostel among all, that is Ranichak Boys Hostel.
Faculty: Teachers of Haldia Institute of Technology are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching style is very supportive. The difficulty level of the semester exams of Haldia Institute of Technology is good, not tough, and not so easy. Overall, it is good.

Short and to-the-point review of Haldia Institute of Technology.
Placements: Currently, in this year (2025), the percentage of placement is 50-60% in the ECE branch. The highest and lowest packages are 7 LPA and 1.8 LPA, and the average is 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, and Wipro. Other companies that recruit frequently include Accenture and IBM. 100% of students get internships from the college after paying 8 thousand rupees. The top roles offered are software engineers and developers.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the hostel, labs, library, and other areas. The labs are well-equipped with all necessary instruments, and the classrooms are well-lit and well-ventilated. The food in the mess is inexpensive but lacks hygiene. The library is well-equipped with a wide variety of books. Free ambulance facilities are available.
Faculty: Most of the teachers hold doctorates and are helpful, but a language barrier exists on campus, as Bengali is the local language. The course curriculum is up to date in some branches, but in non-core branches, it is outdated and does not meet industry standards. Semester exams are comparatively easy.
Other: I'm interest in learning IoT led me to explore ECE, but currently, I don’t see enough scope in this field. More detailed and in-depth learning, along with hands-on practical knowledge, is missing in this course. Events take place on campus almost regularly, but ragging remains a frequent issue. The college has about 35 clubs. Sports events like cricket, basketball, football, etc., occur frequently.

A decent college with a decent record.
Placements: Haldia Institute of Technology offers good placement, and almost all the seniors got decent placements from tech companies in both core and non-core sectors. 90% of students got placed in our course, and the remaining 10% opted for higher studies. The highest salary package offered ranges between 10 LPA and 15 LPA. The lowest salary package offered varies between 3 LPA and 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, etc. Internships are offered in this course. Students can easily grab placements with the help of seniors and faculty members.
Infrastructure: Good hostel facility, but keep in mind that the hostel inside the campus is allotted only to first-year students. After that, you have to individually take responsibility for where you will stay. The hostel rooms are well-maintained and provided with tables and chairs. Each room is shared by three students. The mess is very good in terms of food and hygiene, and the hostel has a playground.
Faculty: Good faculty with a good course structure which is free of any kind of extra pressure. Things tend to go very smoothly with additional weightage on extracurricular and AC activities. If I talk about my course curriculum, then it is the best place for those who want to gain knowledge and apply it in practical life. Coming to the academic part, scoring here is really easy in exams. So even if you want to explore other technologies or prepare for a competitive exam, you can give time to that as well.

Very good college, I can give a preference to take admission at this college.
Placements: Many IT companies are visiting this college to give placements. This is a very good college, you can prefer this as the best engineering college in West Bengal. There are many companies but IT companies are mass recruiters. Around 90% of students get internships and placements through this branch. The highest package is 36 LPA, and the average salary is 5 LPA to 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are total 5 to 6 hostels for girls and boys. The Wi-Fi and water supply are the best, and the DG for electric generation is also available in hostel. You can live peacefully. The food in the hostel mess is also good, very healthy, and tasty. The hostel facilities are also good. In each hostel, there is also security guard. Many sports are also available.
Faculty: The teaching quality is excellent. Teachers are well-behaved and they have the best advice to know about something to do. You can prefer this college. The course is ready for industry. The skills you learn, you can apply to an industry visit at this college. Semester exam is a little difficult but good.
Other: I chose this course because I want to pursue engineering. I want to improve my skills through my college facilities. Many cultural fests and campus crowds are held on campus. Also, Swami Vivekananda scholarship is available for B.Tech course.

An approximately good private college.
Placements: Placements at the college are okay with an average package of 4-5 LPA. But, the placement percentage in the previous year was not as good as the year before. If you don't get placed, you can apply for off-campus opportunities. But if you gain all skills required by the companies, you can easily get placed.
Infrastructure: Our campus is bigger than other colleges in West Bengal, and campus life is more good. Annual sports and extracurricular activities are also offered on campus. The hostel facilities are okay, with rooms shared by four students. The food is not that much good, but here's a tip, if you chose the Ranichak hostel, you will get better food than in the other hostels.
Faculty: The student-to-faculty ratio is bigger, and faculty members' approach are good. But, sometimes they speak in Bengali, which is not understandable to everyone. But they are helpful in all aspects. There are semester exams, and in each semester, you have to take two class tests. The semester exams are of medium difficulty. The course curriculum in the first year is the same as what you see in other engineering colleges.
Other: Of course, I have applied to better colleges than HIT, but I got this college, which is also not bad. But, it is situated in Haldia, which is a side area that is not very developed. To apply to any college, you have to meet the cutoff requirements, and based on that, you get the college. But if you have the money to pay, you can chose the college of your choice and take admission through direct admission quota. You can enjoy the Tech Fest, which is the biggest fest in West Bengal, and there is also a cultural fest that you can enjoy.
