Supportive faculty and good campus life with scope for more industry exposure.
Placements: Around 70 - 80 percent of students got placed from my course. The highest package offered is around 12 LPA the lowest is about 3 LPA and the average package is approximately 5 LPA-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture and Tech Mahindra. About 50 percent - 60 percent of students got internships mostly in companies like TCS Cognizant and local startups. The top roles offered are software engineer, system analyst, and associate developer.
Infrastructure: The department offers well equipped classrooms with projectors a good library and basic lab facilities. WiFi is available on campus though the speed can be improved. The hostel rooms are decent with adequate cleanliness and basic amenities. The mess food is average but manageable and the canteen provides better options. Medical facilities are available on campus for emergencies and there are decent provisions for sports and games including indoor and outdoor activities.
Faculty: The teachers in the college are qualified, experienced, and approachable, offering support whenever needed. The teaching quality is good, though some subjects could benefit from more practical examples and real-world applications. The course curriculum is moderately relevant, providing a solid theoretical foundation but requiring more industry-oriented modules to make students fully job-ready. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, testing both conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills, and the pass percentage is usually high, allowing regular students to clear with consistent effort.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in and the opportunities it provides in technical fields. The best aspects of the course are its strong theoretical foundation, experienced faculty, and exposure to basic practical projects. However, I wish there were more industry-relevant projects, updated labs, and internship opportunities to better prepare students for the professional world. The campus life is vibrant with regular technical events, cultural fests, and competitions, which enhance learning and social engagement.

In simple sentence, HIT is very precious for our future.
Placements: Our batch size is 72 current year and previous 3 years ago it was approximately 70. Now, this batch placement record is very amazing compared to other departments. 82% of students get placed. In this year 2025 placement record is very good. The highest package is 12 LPA (HUL). The average salary is 5 LPA. Top recurring companies are Hindustan Unilever, Johnson Controls, Haldia Petrochemical, Indorama Dhunseri, and others. Maximum students got placed for internships in many other states like Delhi, Bangalore, and also Haldia. Approximately 75% of students got internships. The main roles offered at International Society of Automation.
Infrastructure: Library and classrooms are also good. Exam rooms have minimum 2 ACs and many fans are there. Good Wi-Fi connection is available in our department. Hostel rooms are comfortable and air passing condition is very good. Washrooms are very clean for everyday use. Foods are not so good for everyday. Medical shop is available on our college campus. For sports and games, we have big ground. We also have a basketball court and gym.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and carefully teach us. They also have higher degrees like Ph.D. and M.Tech. Their teaching quality is so good that sometimes use like to feel bored. This course has a good opportunity and it has a core and tech field also. Not so hard if you prepare so well and study day to day. Exams are not much tough to pass. Pass percentage is 75%. Our faculty members are very careful with students. They are very strict about education as well as good and supportive.
Other: I like this course because I am interested in the automation field, and the core heart of IOT and my dream company is Indorama. I want to qualify in exams and then pursue higher education. Events are done. But fests have not organised for the previous two years for some critical reasons. But we also enjoy the chairman's birthday celebration. Campus is very large and big and attractive. HIT has four pillars that I submit. Scholarships are available for 6.8 CGPA with no backlogs. For extracurricular activities, HIT has many technical and non-technical societies.

This is a great college that you can get through WBJEE. Please go for it.
Placements: Very genuine placement records, as the college provides a great curriculum for placement, and many of the distinct companies visit for campus placement in every domain. The college crew ensures proper guidance for placement and development purposes. Satisfaction is achieved. The highest package was 33 Lacs this year.
Infrastructure: One of the best infrastructures in West Bengal. The campus is very beautiful, and even hostel facilities are great. I have personally been in the hostel, and the experience was great. The mess facilities and overall staff behavior are also very friendly.
Faculty: Faculty members are great here in every department, as they are supportive. Language is not a barrier here. Most of the staff use common language, and facilities are well-behaved and educated. The semester exams are not that tough. One can pass easily by focusing on class notes and assignment problems.
Other: Fests are great here, but some improvements can be done regarding extracurricular activities.

Decent college and placement.
Placements: Placement was good, with 80-85% of students placed. The average package was 4 LPA, and the highest package was 15 LPA. Top recruiters were TCS, Wipro, Accenture, and Cognizant. In my course, roles were offered in IT and core sectors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the library is central, which makes it feel very happening. The canteen and medical services are good, especially the medical services. The mess food is not too good, so you might want to eat outside. The hostel is also not too expensive.
Faculty: The teachers at this college are highly qualified and experienced. They are very supportive and help students get involved in various social activities. The college follows the MAKAUT exam pattern, and the level of questions is moderate. If you prepare well, you should have no problem passing your exams.

Average package was around 4 LPA and highest was 22 LPA. I also get opportunity to do an internship in iocl with respect to my core branch.
Infrastructure: Faculties are professional phd holder in the specific domain and also they are very helpful. Lab are well furnished and well equipped. They have seperate hostels for boys, girls and faculties. Ample amount of sport activities are there. Gym, basketball court, football ground, cricket ground, etc is also there. Indoor games are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. It definitely makes students industry ready. Semester exam are a bit tough but okay. Passing percentage is almost 98% and almost all get placed in any domain. Many core companies like Adani, Exide, Mitsubishi and Yokogawa comes for recruitment. 100% Honest and Genuine Review .
Placements: As of 2022, around 91% students got placed. The highest package offered was around INR 13 lpa (on campus) and INR 45 lpa (off campus). The average package is around INR 4-5 lpa. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Mindtree and other service based companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure provided here are good . You will be provided with 2 mentors in a batch of 60 students. Wi-Fi is inside the main building but only 34 mb usage is there for the students. Labs are of a good standard and are maintained properly. The Library (Aryabhata Central Library) is good for use and you can issue up to 6 books at a time. The timings are 8am to 8pm. There are two hostels in HIT - Ranichak hostel (around 1km from campus) and Balaji Hostel (around 300m from campus). The quality of food in Ranichak is better than Balaji hostel. Also price of food in Ranichak is less than Balaji. Ranichak offer 3 people occupancy in every room while Balaji offers 4 people in one room. Ranichak has a personal ground for their use while Balaji has a common ground which is accessible by hostelers as well as local people. Both Balaji and Ranichak have attached bathroom with basin and shower.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and ready to help every time but most of the students are not taking help from the teachers since they study a week before exam. The course curriculum is at standard with others but you will have to make efforts and develop skills from your side such as communication skill, managerial skills, teamwork. The semester exams are not that difficult if you study 1 hour every day. Consistency is the key.
Other: I chose CSE (MAIN) for my B.Tech and now I am in my first year 2022-2026. Ragging is prohibited in the campus but while going/coming from your hostel, seniors will catch you and ask for Introduction ( you will be provided with a full introduction in your class group and you need to learn it) and also give assignments to do. Overall you need to explore your self and find good set of friends with whom you can grow together.
