    Q:   Can I get admission in IIFT Kakinada for BBA with 60% in Class 12th?
    A: 

    According to the IIFT Kakinada 2022-27 prospectus, candidates must have passed the 10+2/XII/HSC examination in 2020, 2021, or 2022 with a minimum of 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender) in the arts, commerce, or Science stream. 

    A student with 60% in 12th class can get into IIFT if they perform well in other selection process segments, such as the written test, personal interview, group discussion, and essay writing. 

    According to Shiksha, students from any stream with 50-60% marks in 12th can apply for admission to good BBA colleges through GD/PI rounds. However, eligibility may differ slightly from institute to institute.

    Yes, for its MBA (International Business) and MBA (Business Analytics) programs, the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), including its Kakinada campus, accepts scores from the Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission starting with the academic year 2024-25.

    The Kakinada campus of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has 60 seats for the Integrated Program in Management (IPM). 

    Every year, around 40,000 students take the IIFT entrance exam, but only 400 are admitted. The 2022–2024 MBA (IB) batch had more than 400 students, with 58% having work experience and 51% from an engineering background. 

    To be eligible for admission to the IPM at IIFT Kakinada, candidates must have passed the 10+2/XII/HSC examination in 2021, 2022, or 2023, with a minimum of 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates).

    Q:   What is the seat intake for IPM at IIFT Kakinada?
    A: 

    IIFT Kakinada offers admission to 60 seats available in the IPM programme. The institute offers seats to candidates based on their IPMAT score. IPMAT is conducted by IIM Indore once in a year in online mode. The institute releases a merit list based on the IPMAT score of the candidates. Selected aspirants have to further pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

    The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Kakinada charges INR 17.7 Lacs for its MBA/PGDM program. The course is 24 months long. 

    The IIFT Delhi campus charges INR 17,16,506 for its MBA (BA) program. The total fee for the MBA in International Business at IIFT Delhi is INR 19.5 lakh. 

    The 2021-2023 MBA (IB) batch at IIFT had an average CTC of INR 29.1 Lacs per year. The highest international CTC offer was INR 85.4 Lacs per year, and the highest domestic CTC offer was INR 75.6 Lacs per year.

    IIFT Kakinada IPM honest review.
    Placements: Currently, no batch has completed the course, so placements have not taken place yet. The data available online on IIFT's official website is for IIFT Delhi and IIFT Kolkata. IIFT Kakinada hasn't got any placements yet, but the first batch (2022-2027) have been assured centralized placements.
    Infrastructure: We are at a temporary campus, and the permanent campus should be ready to move in by late 2025. We have good infrastructure in the college building, and the classrooms are well-equipped. The library has a good number of books. A hostel is mandatory for all students. The hostel rooms are shared by 2 students and have independent washrooms and air conditioners. The mess has good food, including veg and non-veg. We do not have sports facilities at the temporary campus, so we have to hire turfs and courts to play sports.
    Faculty: The permanent faculty members are very qualified, and they teach well. We have visiting faculty members for a lot of subjects, and they are good too. The curriculum is stacked with very diverse subjects and is interesting to study. The course is very practical-based and focuses on real-life application. We have 2 exams per semester - mid-sem and end-sem - and they are of moderate to hard difficulty.
    Other: We have small batch sizes, and all students are capable. We have a flagship sports event, "AIKYAM," every semester encompassing football, volleyball, cricket, and badminton.

    A good college with a lot of potential to grow a lot in the coming years.
    Placements: Since IIFT Kakinada is a very new college, it does have some placement issues. As of now, our MBA batch has not yet started, and our college doesn't provide placement after the BBA. Hence, getting placements and internships solely depends upon our connections. But in the near future, after development of our campus, as more and more people get to know about this college and we also start our MBA program with IPM, we hope to get decent placements from the start. But as of now (2024), placements are an issue that needs to be resolved.
    Infrastructure: As of now (2024), we don't have a permanent campus, and we have a makeshift campus on the JNTU Kakinada campus. However, despite the temporary campus, we do have amazing classrooms (fully air-conditioned) and fully equipped with technology. We also have smart boards and good Wi-Fi facilities in the classrooms and the library. The course outline is also very good, as it contains in-depth knowledge of all the subjects useful in the business world. The hostel is also a makeshift hostel, currently with two different hostels for boys and girls, and the hostel facilities are average. The mess food is decent. For sports and games facilities, we don't have anything of our own as of now, but we book a nearby turf to play and host our flagship sports event called AIKYAM.
    Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and help a lot, not only with academics but with other things as well. The curriculum is also very good, as it has many different subjects, and we learn each subject in depth. The semester exams are also decent, with some subjects being difficult and some being relatively easy. We also have guest faculty for subjects like psychology, yoga, and Python, etc.
    Other: I chose this course because I really liked the way it contains a plethora of different subjects. Also, the IIFT tag is a major advantage you get when you study at this college, as IIFT as a brand is huge. Even though we lack a permanent campus, we expect to shift to the main campus by April/May 2025. But even though we lack a proper campus, we still have events and fests on occasions like Diwali and Holi, etc. We also have our flagship sports event called AIKYAM, for which we have bidding auctions as well. All in all, even though one might say that there is no campus life, we do have loads of events to enjoy college life.

    The best college for an MBA in Kakinada
    Placements: There can be no better college than iift for pursuing a BBA and MBA in India to make your career in the corporate world. The college has an excellent placement percentage of 100% overall every year and all the students also get an internship opportunity.
    Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure of the college are top-notch. The amenities in the hostel like 3-star hotels and the college have been doing extremely well in providing us with the infrastructure of the college and the food quality in the mess is also excellent.
    Faculty: teachers in the college are great, they are very well qualified and have a very vast and diversified range of knowledge and the course curriculum is also very relevant to that of the industry standard. The exams are difficult to crack if we don't study.
