B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2028
4.6
The college is good for all.
Placements: Around 98% of students got placed. The average package of ECE is around 7 LPA. The average package of CSE is around 11 LPA. The average package of MAE is around 5 LPA. The highest package of CSE is 46 LPA. The highest package of ECE is 39 LPA. Also, students get packages through off-campus.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the hostels and academic building and also in library, computer lab, and research lab. Electronics lab is also well organized, you can get almost all the necessary resources. Mess food is very good and also special food is served on occasions.
Faculty: Teachers are so helpful and also well-qualified from IITs and the knowledge they share with you in a very good manner so that you can understand easily. They also encourage you about competitions like GATE and give you a proper road map. The semester exams are not too much tough.
Other: I chose electronic and communication course for myself because of my rank and also because the placement of ECE branch is so good.

It is an average college with average infrastructure.
Placements: Almost everyone is placed and some go for further studies. I don't know about this but still, it is good. Most students are placed in non-core sectors. Infosys, TCS, and McAfee visit the college for placements. Students get off-campus internships at Google and Microsoft. I have no idea about roles offered to students.
Infrastructure: Our college provides Wi-Fi, centralized AC, computer lab, good benches, and a spacious library. It even provides lawns for each individual. It provides study tables, a chair, a three-seater room, and a water cooler. The food is average. The mess is also average. Medical facilities, sports, and games are all present in boys' hostel.
Faculty: Many teachers are helpful and most of them have done their higher studies through IITs and NITs. The course curriculum is relevant in some cases. Semester exams are of average difficulty level, but some exams are quite hard. The pass percentage is above 90%, and most of them pass through exams.
Other: Honesty, it is the best college according to my rank and the branch I need. Industrial knowledge should have more portion of the syllabus. Fests are not popular here although there is hope for future events.

The college is not that bad but not that good.
Placements: Infosys did come for offline recruitment and mostly, students are recruited with a package of 10 LPA. I do not know the average package offered to students. Many students opt for off-campus internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available 24x7 but sometimes there are issues with it. Hostels are nice. Classes and labs have centralised AC. In the hostel, each floor has a water cooler. Regular hygiene is maintained in washrooms. The food in the mess is not that bad and not that good.
Faculty: Teachers are somewhat helpful but knowledgeable. They do not know how to deliver that knowledge. The teaching quality is okay. The course curriculum is okay. Semester exams are not that difficult and students pass exams. Teachers do give questions from PYQs. Teachers encourage for GATE examination and further studies.

A short review of IIT, Bhagalpur.
Placements: College is good in terms of placement, approximately 10 LPA is the average package and for ECE it is approximately 9 LPA. Usually, companies like Infosys, GE Vernova, Nvidia, and Media.net visit here. Most placements are good if you want to take a package of 10 LPA then college is good.
Infrastructure: College is good in terms of infrastructure. Hostel is new and well-furnished. 3 students share a room and the total hostel and MS fees are Rs. 38,000 for the odd semester and Rs. 36,000 for the even semester. Mess food is average and hostel is relatively newer compared to other NITs and IITs.
Faculty: All faculty members are good. They are well-educated to teach their subjects. There are many hackathons and other events also organized to improve technical skills. Seniors are very supportive of helping to learn technical skills. We have DSA, cybersecurity, robotics, and web development clubs in technical society.
Other: College is good in terms of the overall coding environment. Placements are average for college life.

As the College is in an Off Location, But Still Doing Best as It Was Built in 2017
Placements: According to information from the seniors, 2 students were placed in NVIDIA, which is the leading player in the ECE department. The highest package is 38 LPA and the lowest is 9 LPA. NVIDIA is the top recruiting company so far for the ECE department. As of now, it is hard to get an internship in the ECE branch.
Infrastructure: As the college just got its campus, it is well maintained for now. It has Wi-Fi classrooms and a Wi-Fi library, but there aren't that many books. The college has only 1 boys' hostel and 1 girls' hostel, and both the hostels have great Wi-Fi facilities and LAN is also available. The campus has two messes as of now.
Faculty: As per my experience, the 1st-year teachers are not that supportive, but some teachers are just gems, and all teachers have the required knowledge. Yes, the curriculum is fully relevant to the branch as it is an IIT and includes industry-demand topics in the subjects.
Other: As ECE is a demanding sector for future needs and is also known as an evergreen branch, it currently requires more practical topics to be included in the subject instead of theoretical ones. The college has not been conducting any fests for the past 2 years.

Developing College, Moderate Placement, Fees are a Bit High
Placements: On-campus placements were not as expected this year due to the recession period, but the percentage is high even though the average is 10 LPA. Companies like Infosys did mass recruitment this year due to the recession at 9.6 LPA. The highest package was 83 LPA this year.
Infrastructure: I have been staying in the college hostel for quite a while now, and it has been an overall positive experience. The rooms are three-seater, having 3 beds, 3 chairs, 3 tables, and 3 cupboards for each student. Student security is also well maintained, but it lacks two things: first, the washing machine facility, and second, the geyser facility, especially in winter.
Faculty: Faculty members are average and will give you a lot of assignments like in an average engineering college. The curriculum is updated and modernized. There are two exams held every semester: mid-semester and end-semester. From this year, grading has been introduced, asin IITs.

Review of IIIT BHAGALPUR (Tier 2 IIIT, established in 2017).
Placements: Placements for 2024 : The highest package was 25 LPA for 1 student, and the minimum was 6 LPA for 2 students. The median would be around 9.5 LPA, as 81 students were placed in Infosys. Top recruiters are Infosys, Autodesk, Effigo, Amazon, Atlassian, ServiceNow and more. Internships: They are cracked by 3rd-year students on their own ( off campus); some got into Amazon and Microsoft too. The best thing about college is the CODING CULTURE; the rest is just fine—not too good, not too bad.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure: It's new and modern. Wi-Fi and LAN are available in hostels and computer labs. Libraries have necessary books. Classrooms have ACs. Labs are good but some equipment is faulty. We have 2 messes in college; both are okayish. No canteen is there. Medical: The doctor is available on alternate days. Sports are bare minimum.
Faculty: Faculty members are Ph.D. holders and have good knowledge of their subjects. Some teachers are good but some others are just fine ( some are rude too). The course is relevant and holds industry significance. Exams: In a semester, we have 2 exams : mid-sem and end-sem. Relatively marking would be done. Exams are of good level, not too tough. 95% is the pass rate.
Other: Connectivity: BCE College is nearby, a bank is available in it, and daily basic items can be found easily outside the campus. The nearest market is 10 minutes away; Bhagalpur station is around 20-30 minutes away. One can get from Station to ZERO MILE and then IIIT campus easily. Events: Enyugma is our biggest fest; hackathons take place from time to time.

College review for IIIT Bhagalpur.
Placements: The placements are one of the main reasons one would choose this college. The average package is around 15 LPA, and every branch offers opportunities for placements. Companies like Amazon, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, IBM, Mindtree, Tech Mahindra, and HCL visit the campus, with the highest package reported at 89 LPA as per the latest news from Amazon. For my branch (ECE), the average package is 11 LPA, and core jobs are also very helpful in placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is still under construction. The new academic building was completed before our endsem exams; mostly the building, library, and academic facilities are expected to be completed this year. However, the sports facilities and the ground will take some more time as construction has not yet started. The hostel rooms are comfortable; they provide a study table with a table lamp, and each room houses three members. The only problem is the space; there should be two boys' hostels by now, but there is only one, causing some major spatial problems. Apart from that, the quality of the hostel is good. As for the mess, have no expectations; they provide good food upon your arrival for a month or two, but then the food quality depreciates massively. We have protested for better food, but nothing has changed in the end.
Faculty: The lectures depend on the professor of the subject. Some lectures are sufficient for achieving good grades, while for others, you have to cover the entire syllabus on YouTube. The faculty is available during working hours for work-related meetings, paper discussions, etc. Additionally, there are faculty members who provide information about all available scholarships and how to apply for them. The level of exams again depends on the subject and the professor; it varies from subject to subject. However, practicing previous year's questions and doing some additional practice is usually enough to get decent grades. The course curriculum is relevant for core jobs, but since most students are interested in the software industry, the college also provides guidance through coding clubs and other activities throughout the tenure.
Other: Our annual sports fest is called UDYATVA, and participating in it is enthusiastic. It is conducted very well; we also participated in organizing the program. Since the college is new, most of the work is done by students, from preparing the ground for playing to organizing various events. Overall, it was an enriching experience. The annual techno-cultural fest is ENYUGMA. Unfortunately, last year the fest was cancelled for unknown reasons, but we participated in its preparation. I was in the PR team, interacting with students from other colleges, informing them about our fest, inviting them, and handling other tasks. It was also a delightful experience, and if you search for ENYUGMA on YouTube, you'll see it was a mind-blowing event with the available resources. One thing I appreciate about this college is the efforts of the seniors to improve the college environment, develop curricula, and establish a culture for incoming batches. They always support us and organize various cultural and technical club programs.

Yes, definitely, you should wait for the next round (if you don't want this college). You will get better than this college or you will be allotted this college again. Otherwise, get admission into this college.
