We have good placement. Good companies are visiting like C-DAC, C-DOT, BEL,etc.
Placements: In my batch, more than 80% of students got placed. The highest package is INR 20 LPA. And most of them got placed in companies like L&T, RELIANCE, C-DAC, and C-DOT. I am from the EEE branch, and in my branch, all students got placed. Most students get internships in good companies, and many students get internships in PSUs like Power Grid, NHPC, etc. If I talk about my department, most of the students got roles as GETs in core companies. As we know, core companies don't offer good packages for freshers, only IT companies offer packages worth more than INR 10 LPA. But core companies are all good and offer roles of our choice.
Infrastructure: Here, facilities are not as per our expectations as NITs should have. There are lots of restrictions on Wi-Fi. We can't watch many YouTube videos. Here, the food quality is very low. Due to the remote area, other facilities are also not good. Teachers rarely motivate us for sports. And if students organise sports, then only we get a chance to play. And once a week, we celebrate Sports Day.
Faculty: Due to our remote area, we don't have much faculty, and we are having problems getting good knowledge. One teacher has to teach many other subjects. And in some branches, it is very difficult to cross the 8 CGPA mark. We almost have all of the tools we need for practical purposes. Just because we don't have a permanent campus right now, we are having all labs in a small area.
Other: This year, 2023, our college has fest and we called a singer and comedian from outside. We hardly get the chance to have such fest here. After a long time, we celebrated such fest.

You will not be satisfied by campus life but it's okay because you get good placement here.
Placements: Approximately all students who are eligible for placement get placed in any company. Some high end companies take students at 20+ LPA and mass recruiter companies give 5-8 LPA and average placement is approximately 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Nokia / Nvidia etc. Internship percentage is 100% and top roles are like hardware engineer and as intern in Powergrid etc.
Infrastructure: National Institute of Technology Sikkim doesn't have its permanent campus till yet. So, we are only having 1 cricket ground which frequently use as a football ground / Physical training ground / multipurpose ground. Hostels are good but don't have fan and quality of food in mess is awful.
Faculty: Some faculty members are too strict but most of the faculty members are helping, some are USA return too. Course curriculum for EEE is not relevant because combining both electrical and electronics it became too huge syllabus to cover so we just need to study, attend class or to do assignment all the times. Even semester exams are not that much hard but neither on easier side. Pass percentage is 75% to get eligible for placement.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in robotics and I'm moving forward towards my goal. Events and fests used to happen throughout the year so be chill and participate in all extracurricular activities it helps to heal up your bad day.

Placements are improving every year here.
Placements: We are getting good internship opportunities. Our seniors get good placement opportunities through the training and placement cell in our college. The training and placement cell helps us to get placement opportunities and internship opportunities. The highest salary package offered is 23 LPA for our seniors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is good. The hostel is not so up to the mark as it is a temporary campus, and they are constructing a permanent campus, and it might be completed by 2023 as per the latest news. I hope there will be a good hostel and food facilities on the permanent campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent in teaching and support us every day. As it is online, they are teaching us very slowly to make us understand well and suggesting us doing some other courses for the placements.
Other: All the clubs in the college are also run by the students with the help of faculty members.

Review of NIT Sikkim - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Placements are good in our college. There is a well-managed placement cell also available in our college to guide students in the placements. Many companies like Infosys, Intel, and Amazon visit our campus for placements. Students also get internships in their core branches.
Infrastructure: There is a temporary campus due to a hilly area. Big and well-furnished classrooms are available. Free and fast Wi-Fi facilities are also available. A Big library is provided on the campus. We have well-managed labs with all the essential instruments. Hostel facilities are also good with a hygienic mess. The quality of food served is also good.
Faculty: Faculty members are well experienced and knowledgeable. They are very supportive even in the online class. They provide essential materials for the revision. The course curriculum is updated and designed according to the modern era. Practical knowledge is also a priority of college with theoretical knowledge. Semester exams are moderate.

If you have other options, don't join here.
Placements: The placements percentage is not so high in NIT Sikkim as it was an newly established NIT in 2010. The placement percentage was higher for CSE branch. There are many big companies like IBM, Microsoft, TCS, etc. will come for recruitment. Year by year, placement percentage got increased.
Infrastructure: Actually, these was the worst thing to describe about NIT Sikkim. The classrooms will be neat and clean. But when these comes to lab most of the instruments don't work, some work but shows wrong measurements. You will not have a big library to read books. When it comes to sports, you will have a small ground.
Faculty: The faculty is very good in terms of knowledge. Most of them have done PhDs having experience more than 5-10 years. Some of the teachers were strict but not all. You will also have professors who will be from big universities abroad. There will be many workshops conducted.
Other: There will be two fests every year, cultural fest and a technical fest.
