B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2026
2.8
Placements are good, weather and nature are at its best.
Placements: Students are generally placed in the 6th, 7th, and 8th semesters. Our recent years have been very impressive and very boastful. NIT Mizoram has witnessed a good increase in placement packages and ratios overall. Earlier, it used to be a 6.8 LPA average but now it is a 10.5 LPA average. We expect it to go much beyond that. The highest package remains from CSE. Next would be ECE and EE. Internships are also good here.
Infrastructure: Lack of quality infrastructure and facilities. Food in a mess is not that good and sometimes it is edible. We have to regularly raise our voice for the betterment of food quality and after every protest, it improves and the quality goes back to normal. Sports are adequate.
Faculty: I would rate faculty members and the curriculum as good. They are well maintained and brought up to us. The pass percentage would be 35 percent. And the students have to face semester-wise examinations. We have a very relevant curriculum that trains us to become efficient engineers.
Other: The best thing about this college is the views and the weather. The college is situated in Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram, which is quiet and beautiful. The air is very clean and there are no major problems as such.

Lack of facilities are there in a major course.
Placements: Above-average placements, I would say, make the T&P very worthy. The new head is Sukanta Roy, who is the mastermind. The highest package offered is 14.6 LPA this year from CSE Avishek Gope. Internship-wise, this college also has impressive states. The percentage of students placed is 65 percent.
Infrastructure: Hostel 1 is only a good and well-maintained hostel but others are like a course to us. The other hostels are 2, 3, and 4, in which 2 is newly established and for first-year only, a partially rented old school building, and 3 is far away from college but better. 4 is very new, with too few facilities to survive. So basically, a game of survival is going on.
Faculty: Faculty and staff are good but some are very annoying. Especially some in the electrical branch, I cannot name them due to classified reasons but you all need to be aware of this. Examinations are well maintained and taken care of. Semester-wise exams let us take a breather. And yes, our curriculum makes us industry-ready.
Other: Though it stands value for money as a government college, it lacks basic amenities. We need a lot of improvement and hopefully we will get that sooner or later.

Connectivity is a big issue here.
Placements: The highest package as of last year was 29.6 LPA and the lowest was 4.5 LPA. The percentage of students placed would be roughly 6–70 percent. I find that not that concerning. This year too, the placements are on a good track and we hope they will get better with time, as the last semester is still left with us. The top companies are Adobe, Microsoft, and Amazon.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not very satisfying but rather complains. Students have to suffer a lot due to this. There are medical facilities available in block 5 near block 2 (electric). Wi-Fi quality is not bad. Just not enough for our needs. Hostel 1 is fine and all is well, but other hostels are poorly managed. Food quality is sometimes good, sometimes bad but it is adjustable.
Faculty: Exams are moderately tough and we follow a very precise and good curriculum for our education. Teachers are helpful and engaging. Assessment is done on the basis of mid-semester, end-semester, and internal marks. Internal marks are for assignments, class tests and the overall performance of the student. We manage to get good grades by studying a few days back easily.
Other: Connectivity is a big issue for this institute, as the nearest railway station is Silchar, which is 166 km away and the same is true for the airport, which is 32 km away in Lengpui. The campus is not permanent and is spread across Aizawl in different blocks.

Value for money which is better than 3 tier colleges.
Placements: Top companies like Adobe, L&T, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, and Lumia approach our college. In recent years, there has been a good spike in average placements at this institute of national importance. The majority of packages available range between 10 and 15 LPA. Internships are compulsory at the end of the 6th semester. We witnessed a decent percentage of students placed this year.
Infrastructure: Lack of proper infrastructure hurts us in many ways. We don't get the proper accommodations. We have to travel to college, even home state students. We are provided buses for which we are charged too. Labs are fine but instruments are old and some are not functioning properly. No canteen as such is available.
Faculty: The faculty and curriculum are valid and helpful. Even for higher education, our academics are useful. Our teachers are knowledgeable and kind. They are full of gratitude within themselves. Our exams are properly taken care of. We give semester-wise exams. which we study rigorously throughout the semester.
Other: I would say this college is good value for money, as it is very cheap compared to other private colleges. In the case of crowds, there are not many seats available due to a lack of permanent campus but hopefully we will get that too at the end of 4-5 years.

No sports activity available but Education is good.
Placements: I am very satisfied and happy with recent placements, including this year in Lumiq, Alstrom, Unacademy, Adobe, L&T, and Cognizant. Average has also been appreciable and trustworthy. The number of students placed this year would be 30 to date and more accounting. These include both software and technical jobs.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and labs are both under-equipped. The instruments are mostly broken and old. We manage to read somehow. Hostels are some good, some bad. All buildings are rented and heavily paid, and the main campus is not worked on. That's the sad truth.
Faculty: Exams are taken semester-wise and are tough for some and easy for others, but overall, they are a good test of our knowledge. We like our faculty members, both local and non-local. Despite our language barriers, we are very enthusiastic to gain knowledge from them. We give regular assignments and class tests.
Other: There are only a few festivals, one for freshers and one for culture, both of which are held on a regular basis. Sports activities are very restricted.

Yes,it is worth taking over any of the private institutions or state government colleges.
