IIMC Entrance Exam Pattern 2026 - The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) conducts IIMC entrance test for admission to PG Diploma Journalism in regional languages only. As IIMC accepts CUET PG scores for admission to other MA and PG Diploma programmes, the IIMC exam pattern is set under the supervision of the National Testing Agency (NTA) for every program. The IIMC pattern includes information related to the exam sections, marking scheme, time duration, etc.

IIMC Entrance Exam Pattern 2026

According to IIMC Entrance Exam pattern, there will be two separate Entrance Exams. One is conducted by IIMC for Regional Language Journalism courses (Odia, Marathi, Malayalam and Urdu). The other entrance exam will be conducted by NTA for MA and PG Diploma Courses in different specializations, such as media, communication, journalism, public relations, radio & TV, corporate communication and advertising.

Aspirants who will be shortlisted based on their performance in IIMC Entrance Test 2026 and/or CUET PG 2026 need to appear for a group discussion and/ or interview rounds. The weightage for the group discussion round is 10 marks and the interview round is 15 marks. Candidates are shortlisted for admission based on their performance in the written test as well as the interview/ group discussion round.

No, IIMC considers CUET-PG scores for admissions. Once you pass the entrance test, the further rounds of the selection process like interviews and counselling are conducted by IIMC. Yes, reserved category candidates get relaxation on the IIMC Entrance Exam application fee for PG Diploma courses. For most courses the application fee of CUET PG exam is applicable. While for PG Diploma courses in regional languages the application fee is decided by IIMC. OBC and EWS applicants have to pay INR 600. SC, ST and third gender candidates have to pay INR 550 while PwD candidates have to pay INR 500.
