IIT Patna M.Tech CSE is a two years postgraduate-level course lasting. The programme fee structure is cumulative of multiple components such as tuition fee, hostel fee, library deposit, training and placement fee, etc. The M.Tech fee range from INR 20,000 to INR 10 lakh.

Candidates aiming for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) need to meet these cutoff marks in JEE Mains to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026.

For BTech and BS, the admission process is completely conducted by JoSAA after students appear for their JEE Main and JEE Advanced exam. BTech and BS courses completely based on JoSAA following an appearance by a candidate for JEE Main and JEE Advanced examination, however for other courses MSc and M.Tech based on GATE, IIT JAM through COAP and CCMN counselling and the seats under PhD course on appearance basis on admission test organized by institute itself. After the test is conducted, IIT Patna publishes a merit list containing the names of students selected for PhD.
