To get MBA admission at IIFT Kolkata, students must fulfil the course-specific admission criteria. Admission to MBA was earlier through IIFT exam. However, from 2024 admission year, IIFT now accepts CAT scores. In order to apply for the PG course, a candidate can fill out the application form by visiting the IIFT website (iift.ac.in). CAT registration shall be completed separately through its official website. Candidates are further shortlisted based on merit in the entrance test, academic records, gender diversity, and aggregate obtained in Class 10 and Class 12. The final selection for the MBA course is done based on several factors such as, CAT score, WAT, group discussion, work experience, and interview round.
IIFT Kolkata application process is carried out in online mode. Candidates are required to complete the application form and submit it within the due date or else it is considered as incomplete. Candidates must make sure to share the correct and valid email address in the form as most of the intimations are given via mail by the Institute. Further, the steps to apply are:
- Visit the official website of NTA i.e to apply online for IIFT admission 2023.
- Login and fill out the online application form as per the details given in the Information Bulletin of IIFT programmes.

The IIFT Kolkata application process is carried out in online mode. The application fee is not refundable. Incomplete applications are not considered after the prescribed date. Candidates must make sure to share the correct and valid email address in the form as most of the intimations are given via mail by the Institute. From 2025, the institute will grant MBA course admission based on CAT score. Thus, the candidates are required to complete the CAT application process. As per the details collated from various sources on the internet, about 140 seats are allocated for MBA in International Business at IIFT Kolkata. Admission to IIFT Kolkata’s full-time MBA (IB) programme 2023-25 is subject to IIFT’s Written Examination scores along with students’ performance in the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) or Extempore and Personal Interview (PI) scores. The final selection process also incorporates academic consistency, academic diversity, gender diversity and work experience.
For admission to MBA in IB, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of Computer Based Test (IIFT entrance exam). As of the latest guidelines the seat intake in IIFT Kolkata for MBA is 140 seats. The selection is done by the IIFT entrance test which ia conducted by the NTA, CAT.
