Mixed experience at IIITDM, Kurnool.
Placements: In 2022-23 out of 81 students registered for placements 55 secured jobs resulting in 59 % placements. These were just on-campus placements but in the case of off-campus, the results are much higher. The highest package ever received from this institute is 1.3 crore per annum.
Infrastructure: All facilities that a common student needs are easily fulfilled by the administration of the institute. Classrooms are properly maintained, neat, and clean. College has Wi-Fi which works over all the entire campus area. The 2 phases of construction have been completed successfully now the work of the third phase has been started.
Faculty: Three teachers and the faculty staff present here are very supportive. They guide us in every aspect of the way we want. They always want the better ship of the students present here. Semester exams are conducted very sincerely which brings out the quality students from the campus.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I had a developing mindset and I am a person who always wants to create something new and better for the upcoming time. I wish there were a little bit more highly advanced machinery on our campus so that it could give me a helping hand in making future brighter.

Infrastructure is good, placements are improving day by day, and fully satisfied with my faculties.
Placements: Many renowned companies are visiting our campus and selecting 6 to 7 students from each branch. So far, the average package has gone up to 10 LPA, with the highest package reaching 32 LPA. Companies like Nvidia and Amazon, etc. Have visited, and many seniors have secured internship and got jobs.
Infrastructure: From my point of view, you are provided with 24/7 internet access. For projects, there are many labs and workshops for each department, and the library is open until midnight. In the hostel, you get 24-hour internet access, a mineral water cooler, and the mess food is average. Currently, there is only one canteen, but in the next two months, three more food shops in terms of food. If I talk about sports. There is a one cricket ground with nets, a one football ground, two volleyball courts, and three badminton courts.
Faculty: Since I am from the Mechanical Department, our faculty members are very supportive and kind to us. All of them have completed their Ph.D. from IITs and NITs. As we all know, the courses offered generally lack practical applications, so I would say the course curriculum is not very relevant. You will not face much difficulty in semester exams if you study according to your professor’s guidelines, and you will pass with good grades. The passing percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose this institute only because of the IIIT tag. I believe IIIT Kurnool is the second largest IIIT in terms of area. In the next 4 to 5 years, this institute will provide better placements compared to now. There are many events and fests where you can showcase your skills. The seniors are very supportive, and they have started clubs for juniors to participate in, such as music, dance, art, gaming, and coding, as well as to work on projects.

In nutshell, Ours college in growing stage, so all the facilities are very good.
Placements: For our college, very few core manufacturing companies have come since 2019; most of the IT companies, consultancy companies, and others have visited. Most students are placed in these companies. Very few people were placed in core companies. Since this is a newly developed college and less known, but as the ranking improves and other factors improve, more companies will come for hiring. Entrepreneurship opportunities are good in the college.
Infrastructure: Since this is a newly developed college, all academic buildings are newly developed with first-class facilities and labs. Hostels are very good in condition. Many modern technologies are used in hostels as well as academic buildings. The sports area includes a very large badminton stadium. Food quality is good. You get both South and North Indian food. Medical facilities are also available 24x7. The cafeteria in the Science block is open till 10 PM.
Faculty: In the Mechanical branch, faculty are very good and have a very supportive nature. Regular classes are held. The curriculum is not very hard. The difficulty level of exams is 8/10. They give free time to students. In Mechanical, there is relaxation; it is less stressful compared to other branches.
Other: Campus life is somewhat restricted, as this college is on top of a hill, isolating you from the main city. The college fest is very awesome. The name of our fest is SOLASTA. Scholarships for SC, ST, and OBC students from the state government are available. There are many clubs that provide various extracurricular activities. Many seminars, webinars, and competitions are held in the college.

Review of iiitdm for the mechanical course.
Placements: Placements are very good in this college; almost 70 percent of the registered students will get placed in the top companies. 18.92 LPA is the highest CTC, and 4 LPA is the lowest CTC; the average CTC is about 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Synpsys, Revature, Natwest, Lumen, MSRcosmos, Wipro, Zycus, and more. Interested students can do internships based on their own interests.
Infrastructure: There is no need to worry about the infrastructure; it was well structured and constructed by the great architects. Wi-Fi is available, but the speeds are poor for mobiles due to the hilly area. The labs and classrooms are good, and we have a big library, which was very helpful for the students. The quality of the facilities is awesome because of the dedicated management. Hostel facilities are too good, and the food also has an acceptable taste. All other facilities are readily available within the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality was good enough for us to understand. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant to the industry and makes the students ready for their jobs. Exams are not very difficult to pass, but it was difficult to score the grades. Pass percentage was about 70 to 80 percent for the semester; it may change frequently.
Other: I got this course in the JEE examination counseling. Anyhow, I am interested in this course. There was a transportation issue for this college that should be sorted out first. Events and festivals happen rarely, one or two times a year. But there were some student clubs to join and participate in extracurricular activities.

Average Placement, Good Infrastructure and facilities, Newly developed Campus.
Placements: Overall placement statistics are very good; students got good opportunities in every department. In the year 2021, from the CSE batch, one student got a 1.3 crores package in Amazon, Berlin. In Mechanical, some core companies are visiting and give good packages based on skills, but maximum students are interested in higher education along with the IT field.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is excellent. Newly built lecture halls, classrooms, workshops, library. All hostels, labs, library, departmental buildings are equipped with high-speed internet. The quality of food is good in the canteen. Medical facilities are open 24*7 for everyone. Newly built indoor stadium and sports arena are there.
Faculty: Teaching quality is very good; all the faculty are highly qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is nice according to the company and modern requirements for getting good opportunities in every sector. A lot of training is given to students to build their skills and encourage them in research areas. Semester exams are not much difficult; anyone can easily pass with average study time. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: Solasta is the annual techno-cultural fest of IIITDMK, organized every year in the month of February or March.

I am averagely satisfied with this college.
Placements: There are no placements from the mechanical department. If students learn coding skills on their own then they can get good placements. The average salary package offered is 7.5 LPA. There are no internships for the mechanical department also. But again, if students learn coding skills, then they have made some good projects then they can grab these also.
Infrastructure: I would like to say that this college is in undergoing construction work. Till date, the classrooms, laboratories, and library are in average condition but in the upcoming 1-2 years they will provide students all those things which they want as a mechanical engineer.
Faculty: The teaching staff is good, and students shouldn't worry about that. But as in every college, here also 1-2 teachers are not good. The course they provide is helpful for industrial purposes. When it comes to exams in this college, and they are average, but if students has studied well then they can get good percentage.
Other: This college is different from other IIIT's because this comes under the five IIITs which are fully funded by the government. They provide students with some extra skills from other colleges that's why I opted for this college. The only thing which is not good here is the placements and internships for the mechanical department. They are trying hard to improve it and they will improve it in upcoming years. When it comes to events, fests don't expect too much for extracurricular activities. They provide sports and SSG i.e social work. In sports, if students are good players then they can get a chance to participate in inter IIIT tournaments. Connectivity is also average here because this college is situated outside of the main city. When it comes to scholarships and if students are from a category like SC or ST then don't think about fees, because they provide students a very good scholarship from NSP i.e National Scholarship Portal.

Our campus life and academics at IIITDM Kurnool
Placements: As of now, there are no pass outs as it was started in 2015. In the next academic year, placements are going to be held. I think we will get the same placements as IIITDM Kancheepuram. It was in Kancheepuram, Chennai district. Overall, placements were good.
Infrastructure: It is presently running its academics in IIITDM Kancheepuram. The infrastructure was superb and we have a very good library. We also have a football ground, a cricket ground, tennis and a badminton court. The hostel facility was very good and we also have a medical center and also an ambulance. It has tied up with the Chettinad Hospital which was near to the campus.
Faculty: The faculty team was good and very free to move with. The entire curriculum was very good and it focuses on the design aspect. Labs were very good with very good and quality equipment. Professors encourage you to do mini-projects which were very useful for your profile. The teaching assistants are also very helpful in doing our project.
Other: There was no ragging at all. Seniors are very friendly and helpful. They will encourage you to participate in sports like cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc. There was a store on the campus where we can get all required things. The mess food was not bad but we have to adjust with it in the starting few months.

Not good for mechanical engineering.
Placements: 0% percent mechanical are placed every year in core mechanical. Placement cell is the worst. They never actively engage with companies and attarct them to campus. They don't care for students. The worst I would say. Even internships we need to search off campus.
Infrastructure: Infra is good. As new campus, it has everything almost inside. Although transportation and connectivity is the worst. No proper roads and located on hill. People miss campus life and Kurnool is not very modern city. A small one. Hostel facilities are good. Mess is bad.
Faculty: Exams are easy. But some courses are outdated. They don't align with industry standards. Very few industrial collaborations. Faculty are qualified and helpful upto curriculum level. Outside the curriculum, very less relavance with current job market.
