Brief Review of IIITDM Kurnool.

Placements: In the 2024-25 session, approximately 160 students have registered for placements, and as of November 2024, only 6 have been placed and 2 have secured internships. The pay is not very high. The highest package offered so far is 13.5 LPA by a software company. Overall, the placement scenario is not very good this year.

Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi access across the whole campus (except the hostel), with ethernet internet for the hostels. Classrooms are good and not very far from the hostels after the first year. First-years have to travel a greater distance from the hostels. The library has a good collection of books on diverse topics; it's open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with plans to increase the hours in the future.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Some are not very good, but most are helpful and have great command of their topics of study. The course is relevant to upcoming industry standards. Semester exams are not very tough; one can easily clear all subjects by studying at least 2 weeks before end-semester exams and 1 week before mid-semester exams. The teachers' resources can give you an advantage in exams.

Other: If this college can improve its placements, that would be great. The number of students in any batch is not very high; there are approximately 300 students per batch, which means less crowding. This college is fairly new, so we can hope for improvement in social events with time.

Mechanical core companies should offer jobs . Good infrastructure and best faculties for Mechanical.

Placements: Nearly 60–70% of students are placed in mechanical. Core companies are not coming to the college for now. Most students are placed at ATIT firms as developers or software engineers. The recruiting companies were Infosys, TCS, etc. But we hope that in the coming years we will get core companies on campus. Faculty members are putting in immense effort for that.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is new and modern. Buildings are sufficient for academics and accommodation, as per the current student count. But still, institute infrastructure is expanding. Recently, we completed our ECE building. All academic buildings are well-equipped with labs. You get unlimited internet for 24/7 in hostels. Mess and canteen food is average but you have a lot of options so it's not a major issue.

Faculty: For the Mechanical Branch, faculty members are the best and most supportive. Some of them are too experienced and have well-established connections with the industry. The curriculum has been revised and it seems more relevant to the needs of industry now. Even if you are a mechanical student, you learn C in your first year as a skill.

Other: I think campus life can be better. Some fests should be arranged and clubs should be more active.
