Q:   Are private sector BTech jobs better-paying than government jobs?
    A:

Well, yes. The private sector BTech jobs in India offer a higher earning potential than the government sector jobs, including promotions, yearly bonuses, performance rewards, etc., along with a plethora of career options across different sectors. Having said that, there is less scope for job stability in the private sector due to market downturns.

The government sector is known for decent job security and other benefits like health insurance and retirement benefits. Rest, you can sit and decide for yourself whatever suits your interests the best. Best wishes.

Q:   Is there enough demand for BTech graduates in the job market?
    A:

If we look at the market demand, no doubt there is huge demand for BTech (Full Form: Bachelor of Technology) graduates among top recruiters who are constantly looking for skilled and knowledgeable students with fresh ideas to enhance their business growth and profitability.

Having said that, a few previous-year employment reports published by the Business Standard and Times of India suggest that students found it a struggle to land a high-paying job after completing BTech because of a lack of industry-specific skills and knowledge and cut-throat competition between Lacs of engineering students hunting for a job.

Hence, it is very important for students to focus on enhancing their skill set according to industrial demands and technological advancements, stay updated regarding all industry trends, build good networks and, most importantly, take up internships to gain experience and stand out in front of the employer.

Q:   What are the elective subjects in BTech Pharmaceutical Engineering syllabus?
    A:

There are a lot of electives that you can opt for while studying a major degree course in Pharmaceutical Engineering. Most of the colleges give you this option from 2nd year onwards of your BTech course. Some of the elective options are Computational Drug Design, Evaluation of Natural Drugs, Advanced Industrial Unit Processes, Fluid Handling, etc..

You can take up any of these as per your interest and inclination. Elective subjects are usually meant to give you an option to explore and experiment to see which particular subject area interests you more within your chosen field.

I am fully satisfied with this college.
Placements: Approximately 90 percent students get placed with top recruiters such as HPCL, and MACLEODS. The highest package offered for this course was18lakh/annum and the lowest package was 7lakh/annum. Almost all the students got internships with core industries. Some students were selected for DAAD, MITACS, TAIWAN internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities are of top level with 24 hrs electricity and Wi-Fi availability. The classrooms, library, and the labs are fully air conditioned Hostels provides room with 4 students sharing each room having attach washrooms. Washing machines are provided for washing clothes. Food quality is also good in the mess. Our college is tied up with KIIMS for medical facilities. There are issues with outdoor games like cricket and basketball as we are currently in a temporary campus and do not have access to a bigger ground.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified with Ph.D. and M.Tech degrees and have approximately 10 years of teaching experience. This college has trimester based pattern with 3 trimesters each year having 2 trimesters for theoretical classes and 1 trimester for internship in the industries. Trimester exams are not that tough if you prepare well.
Other: I have chosen this course because it provides theoretical knowledge along with practical as after each trimester you go for internships in the industries where you can apply your theoretical knowledge learned in the classes. There are 2 fests which are organized each year i.e., PARVAAZ for final year students and UDGAM for Freshers.

Overall good college but there is no campus life as its own campus is not ready yet.
Placements: There is no placement till now as our college 1st batch will pass out in july 2023. So there is no idea of placement till now. But internships are very good here. From 1st year u will get internship in iocl and other companies in research fields.
Infrastructure: Classroom and library are good. Wi-Fi is also available in college premises. Hostel rooms are very spacious with accommodation of 3 students in each room. Quality of food is good in mess. Medical facilities is also there. But there is no canteen in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are quite decent here well qualified for teaching. Some teachers have qualified GATE also and some are Ph.D. holders. Course curriculum are well designed. Semester exams are not very tough but u need to study hard. If u fail in semester exam then u can sit for re-exam.

Institute of Chemical Technology, Bhubaneswar .
Placements: About 80% placements can be seen in previous batches. The highest package fir last year was 22.5 LPA and the lowest was 7 LPA. Mandatory internship in at good places. Companies related to chemical industry visit during the placement session. Average placement cell.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the hostel and the college but speed is not so good. Overall hostel is good but some students can face issue in mess food. Good lab facilities. Chemical and instruments are available in labs. Average classrooms. Sports events are organised some time.
Faculty: Good and highly qualified faculty members studied from prestigious institutes of country or from foreign universities. Semester pattern is followed in the institute. Moderate level of questions are asked during the semester exams. CGPA is relatively of the class.

College is definitely not worse if not excellent. I would say above average.
Placements: Last year placement percentage was about 83% with the lowest being 7 LPA and the highest being 21 LPA by cpcl to 6 students. Average package is around 8 LPA as of last year. Top recruiting companies were ExxonMobil, reliance, Chennai petroleum corporations limited. Internship is by far not to bother about in this college if you have good CGPA. I personally know many seniors who went for internship in Dubai, UK. I also know one senior who went for internship at BARC.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not too big but definitely doesn't lack facilities. Labs are well mentioned with all the necessary equipment and research facilities. Even we have electronic microscope, NMR, XRD, LIQUID NITROGEN PLANT. All the equipments needed in this course and research is present. Free Wi-Fi is provided within the college and hostel premises with AC classrooms, libraries and labs. Libraries are well maintained with significant amount of books and journals.
Faculty: Faculty members are quite supportive except some ( exceptions are always there). All of them are well qualified with a degree from iits and one professor is from IISC. Course structure is relevant and well designed by ict Mumbai. Semester exams are not too difficult but definitely strictness is followed in taking exam.
Other: I got JEE Main AIR 94297 and at this rank this college is not the bad option. I don't regret choosing this college and yes the degree and I'd card we will get will be from ict Mumbai and name of Bhubaneswar will not be mentioned. Tag of ict Mumbai matters! Events and fests are generally missing but some fests are organized in hostel by efforts of student on big level. As college is at prime location of Bhubaneswar city life is also very good.
