March 7, 2024: The first private cloud computing lab in eastern India will be located in the city thanks to a significant donation of INR 8.20 crore from the Institute of Engineering and Management, which has its headquarters in Calcutta.

The institute has set aside this space for the lab, which will run under its Innovation Entrepreneurship Developmental Cell. Chakrabarti revealed that the institute has already invested close to Rs 9 crore exclusively for the building of infrastructure. In addition, at the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS), IEM promised the state government a sizeable investment of Rs 600 crore, which will be carried out gradually. In conclusion, the Institute of Engineering and Management's creation of the area's first private cloud computing lab in eastern India is a major step forward for promoting creativity and technical development in the area. For me, it is the best college for an MBA in Kolkata, with great faculty and infrastructure.

The highest package is around 12 LPA, the average is 6–7 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–4 LPA. Top recruiting companies include EY, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, Genpact, ITC, RSM, and various banks.

Good placements, disciplined environment, and quality education.

Placements: IEM is one of the strongest colleges in West Bengal for BCA placements, but students should keep realistic expectations. In the last few years, they have claimed to provide 100% placement. They do have a high cut-off for placement eligibility. Average students are expected to maintain a good CGPA; average job packages range from 3 LPA to 8 LPA. This is the average package expectation based on practical skills and academics. The placement department is highly active and starts training students f...

Satisfied with faculty.

Placements: Around 90–95% of students from our Computer Science and Engineering branch successfully secure placements. While massive off-campus packages occasionally cross the 50 LPA mark. The highest on-campus package is around 15–20 LPA. The average package hovers around 5.5–7.5 LPA, and the lowest package stands at 3.4–4 LPA. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and Capgemini offer a major portion of the placements. Over 75% of students secure internships at firms like IEM Labs or through external...

Good environment, best placements.

Placements: As per the previous batch placement, it's a good percentage, like about 80-90%, I can say. The lowest package offered is 3-4 LPA, and the highest is 10-15 LPA and can be more. Deloitte, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, SAP Labs, Capgemini, TCS and more IT companies recruit. As per our college's information, 100% placement is provided, and it can be true because from the 1st year, our college has started giving placement preparation.

A great college for real learners.

Placements: My first year just ended, and I saw many elders of my college getting high package placements, which means it's almost 80-85% placements. The average package is 3-5 LPA. Top recruiters are SAP Labs, Cognizant, and TCS. Software developer, or developer-type roles, are mostly offered, I saw.
