B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering - Batch of 2027
5.0
Review of Institute of engineering and technology.
Placements: Almost 90% of students get placed overall in college. The highest offered package is around 1.2 crore, and the average package varies around 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies include big names like ZS, Volvo, Eicher, etc. The top roles offered in the college are Mechanical, Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation, and Computer Science and IT.
Infrastructure: Facilities in the college are not very good. The college lacks basic amenities like a good canteen and mess facility, which are necessities. The hostel is also very average. The cleanliness is good, but the condition of the classrooms is average. The library is good. The food in the mess is average, and there are no medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are highly educated, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is relevant to industry standards and makes students placement and industry-ready. Semester exams are very easy to pass.

An honest review by a student of IET DAVV.
Placements: At IET DAVV, the average yearly placement is approximately 60 to 70 percent, with the highest package being 28 LPA and an average package of 5 LPA. Companies like NRI Fintech, Deutsche Bank, ZS Associates, and many others visit the college. Around 40 to 50 percent of students secure internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good, with each department having its own building, labs, workshops, library, and incubation center. Wi-Fi is available on campus and in the hostel. The hostel rooms are double occupancy, and the mess, which serves average food, is located near the hostel. Hostel seats are limited, and the sports facilities are lacking, with no big ground on campus; students have to go to the university for sports.
Faculty: The faculty members are supportive, well-qualified, and trained. The curriculum is very good, focusing on the technical development of students, which helps in placements. The semester exams are average, not too tough, and almost all students pass easily and perform well.

IET DAVV Indore (2020-2024) review.
Placements: The highest on campus package is of 20 LPA and off-campus is 57 LPA. Mainly Coding and Tech companies visit the college. Non-tech companies came this year with a huge intake of 62 with 14 LPA. Hard work can easily get you a good package. Skills are all that you need to focus. Learn DSA, ANDROID, WEB DEVELOPMENT, etc. in this college. Don’t do mistake of getting a low CGPA.
Infrastructure: New hostel is awesome. Old hostel like A & B are not that good. But you can manage to live in the government hostel. Although LAN connection is available so no problem of internet. Only 1 Mess is running so food is not up to mark. But it's average. Sometimes, it provides the worst food. Little problems with toilet cleaning and water issue persists. But there is no problem of electricity.
Faculty: 3 MST and 1 semester exams consist of a semester. 2 mid semesters are compulsory to get into end semester exams. Some teachers are good but most of the faculty is below average. But in college, you have to study by yourself, attend the classed regularly and get a GPA of around 8 with little efforts and dedication. Don't do the mistake of not studying for the whole semester. It will surely downgrade your results. Teachers do not give marks for free. So you must study to avoid failure.
Other: Campus life has not been up to the mark from last 2 years because of the Covid. Indore is really a nice place. The college is the best to study for free with Medhavi scholarship. It's for many but not all.

My overall experience and truth in IET DAVV.
Placements: This year, the highest salary package offered is 50LPA and the minimum salary package is 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, VMware, Grow, and many big companies and startup companies. Top IT sector companies also visit our campus. They allow students of all branches. All students complete internship.
Infrastructure: The IET DAVV University has great infrastructure with all possible amenities. Great LAN connections and Wi-Fi services. Almost all sports equipment and grounds are available. The labs are well built-in with all essentials. Hostel are great and spacious. There is also a huge terrace. It has twin sharing rooms. The food needs improvement also there is in time of 8 pm. Room are fewer and so allocated on first come first serve basis.
Faculty: In IET DAVV courses are well designed and upto the latest guidlines. It would be better if more industrial exposure is provided. Faculty members have quite good knowledge and they know what they are teaching and explain things thoroughly. But the management is good or not good.
Other: The most famous event is Aakshank. We have too many clubs in our college like feedbox, phoenix, E-Cell. E-Cell is our event organiser for most of the events in college. Our library provides 4 books of our choice for the 1 semester and has an adequate amount of books. But for sports facilities, we have to go to the main Takshila campus as we don't have any sports grounds. We also organise one of central India's biggest events Aakshank. This is a 2-day event which we enjoy so much. Even some celebrities also come to this event. Overall campus and social life are good. You will not regret coming to this college.

More than 35 students got placed with a salary package of above 8 LPA.
Placements: Most of the students from the computer science branch get placed in Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. MNCs visit this campus every year and offer a salary package of 3.5 LPA. A lot of companies visited here other than mass recruiters. Nuclei offered a salary package of 20 LPA. The highest salary package offered until now was 19 LPA, and it was offered by VMware.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good here, and there is a separate building for every branch. There are labs here, and before COVID-19 pandemic, we used to have lab classes and lab work daily. The mess here is not huge as the mess of other colleges. You'll only get poha here and some packed food items. However, apart from this, you will surely like college life here.
Faculty: I am studying in the electronics and instrumentation branch. Faculty members here are PhD holders and have more than 20 years of teaching experience. They are very much interactive with students. They will help you in your competitive exams also like GATE, etc.
Other: In IET DAVV, Asia's hugest cultural fest named Akshank is organised. In the year 2019, KK singer and Rahat Indori visited here as special guests to perform. Our college organises a Dj night in the annual fest. If you are socialised, then this college is the best for you.

It is a perfect college for engineering in Madhya Pradesh.
Placements: Placements in IET DAVV are great. Various companies like Cognizant, ZS, Infosys, Quantify, TCS, etc., are the mass recruiting companies that visit the college. The highest package offered is 21 LPA, the average package offered is 9.5-11 LPA, and the lowest package is 5-6 LPA. Internships are offered to many students. Industrial training is also provided.
Infrastructure: The campus of IET DAVV is huge, and its infrastructure is pretty good. Hygiene is maintained on the campus. Labs are provided for practicals. There are separate blocks for every engineering department on the campus which have Wi-Fi facilities and a very good environment to study.
Faculty: Faculty members at IET are very experienced. They share their experience by giving students proper knowledge. They also provide practical knowledge to the students for a proper understanding. They pay proper attention to every student and are very much co-operative.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest. I think more practical demonstration should be given related to each topic for a better understanding. A cultural fest is organised in our college, named Aakshank, which is central India's largest cultural fest.

I suggest you choose this college only if you have don't have other options.
Placements: Our batch will be passed out in 2023, so currently, I am in my 2nd year. All students who have a CGPA of greater than 6, got placed with average salary packages. We haven't seen any core companies visiting the campus for mechanical, instrumentation, civil and telecommunications streams. All core branches students got placed in IT industries. From instrumentation stream, our super senior got placed in Principal company with the highest salary package of 6 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 3.6 LPA. Besides low salary packages, one of the advantages of our college is it surely provides you with placements irrespective of your stream. You have to compromise with the salary packages. So, most of the students get placed with the average salary package of 3 LPA. Only students who know the coding very well and have good academic records will get placed with a salary package of greater than or equal to 6 LPA from core branches. Therefore most of the students change their branch in 2nd year. If you are from the CS/IT branch, then you can expect a salary package of 10 LPA or more. The highest salary package offered was 21 LPA in CS branch in the 2020 batch.
Infrastructure: There is a separate building or block for every stream. Classrooms are not much good, and sometimes pigeons can enter into the classrooms through windows and can irritate the whole class. Desk and benches are sometimes dirty. However, there is a free Wi-Fi facility for students, and you can borrow books in the library. But students are not permitted to sit inside the library, and the library is only for issuing books. So, I suggest you never think that you will get a good library or good infrastructure here. Our college building looks the same as a government-owned old building. In the lab, most of the equipment is broken or not for use. In spite of doing practicals, you can be pass in vivas by writing 100 pages of theory about practicals. Most of the time, the admissions for the hostels will get filled, and you have to seek for other universities hostels or private hostel. The food served in the mess is not much good. Many times, you will be going to eat Maggie at 2 am in the night with your friends. Our college conducts extracurricular activities, so you will enjoy your four years in the hostel. You are also encouraged to play many sports and games according to your choice. For sports and games, any student can interact with their seniors to play. They will surely encourage you and include you in the team. The interaction between seniors and juniors is good in the hostel. You will not face any problem with anything.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and knowledgeable. They will clear your doubts and confusions. But you can't completely rely on them for studies because most of them even don't teach the entire syllabus of your semester. So, you have to study the rest of the syllabus on your own and have to be independent. Any reference book will not help you to pass in exams. I suggest you not to believe that you can study the entire syllabus one day before the exam. You have to study on a daily basis to score a good GPA. The course curriculum is relevant, and it will help you in future for your other competitive exams like GATE and IES.
Other: My stream is electronics and instrumentation, and I am from 2019 batch. As salary packages offered are not much good for this branch, and also this branch is not very known to others. So, most of the students change their branch in 1st year. Thus the total strength of 68 students available in the first year will reduce to 30 students in the 4th year as almost half of the strength change to other streams. Remaining students either opt for GATE or CAT because salary packages offered are not much good. Opting for GATE through instrumentation engineering is good as there is not much tough competition like other streams. Our college will also make you free from the hectic lectures in 3rd and 4th year if you plan to opt for GATE and other competitive exams. You will enjoy your four years in terms of extracurricular activities, and various events and fests are organised throughout the year. The campus crowd is average. You can also easily connect with your seniors or super seniors for placements and guidance.

I am satisfied with the infrastructure and good faulty members.
Placements: Around 80% of the students get placement in E&I, but most of the students go for post-graduation and give exams like GATE and GRE because the scope of E&I in India after under graduation is lower when we compare it to other developed countries. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA. Students from E&I get internships in IT companies through Internshala and other apps.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is very good. Classes are held in the same building, and there are 2 buildings for the electronic department. The first year building was constructed 2 years ago. All the buildings have Wi-Fi, and you will get the password in your college email. The hostel is getting old, but this year a new hostel was constructed and inaugurated, and it is of 200 rooms for first-year boys. A new library is also constructed and inaugurated on our campus which can be used by any student of DAVV University. Labs are good, but some equipment is old and need to be replaced.
Faculty: Professors in our college are well qualified and do they do the task very seriously, but some temporary professors are qualified. They don't come to classes regularly so you will get some free classes in the first year. There are no temporary or visiting faculty members in second year onwards, so the teaching is good. The course curriculum is set according to the new industrial ways, and it changes if there is something new in the industry.
Other: I chose this course because I got 93 percentile in JEE Main and this was the best course that I can get in this college. I could have gone for IT or CSE in colleges like VIT and other private colleges, but the fees were very high. I also want to do post-graduation, and E&I have the lowest number of applicants but has good courses in the post-graduation.
