Having good times with new friends.
Placements: Placements are above average here. It depends upon the student's score and what kind of job they will get. If you have a decent CGPA, you can easily get above 10 Lacs per annum, especially for Computer Science and Information Technology. Just try to maintain your marks in MST for all the semesters; it will be fine.
Infrastructure: The college does not have any well-maintained medical facilities, but there is one old library and one new library at the incubation centre, which has a separate hall for study where there are desks with charging ports. On campus, there are separate buildings for each department, like the F and E blocks.
Faculty: Compared to any other college, teachers are not so bad; you can understand their subjects if you keep your focus in the class. Although there are some teachers who mostly do everything else instead of teaching, and their classes would be just a waste of your time, you need to attend them for attendance.
Other: The gender ratio is pretty high compared to any other engineering college.

I am satisfied with the college because of placements.
Placements: Placements in our college are great. This year, 73 companies visited and more than 500 students were placed with an average salary package of 6 LPA. Above 400 students have more than one job offers in hand. The biggest salary package offered is 56 LPA. Even students in lower branches like mechanical and civil got placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college isn't great. The institute doesn't have proper washrooms. Every department has its own block. The campus has Wi-Fi facilities. Hostels also aren't so good but you'll survive. The mess food is pretty average like every other mess in the town.
Faculty: In the end, you have to study on your own. Teachers are average. Exams are difficult but you will pass. Course curriculum is absolutely relevant and will make you industry-ready. Comprehensive viva is also there which makes you ready for placement interviews.
Other: AAKSHANK is central India's biggest cultural fest that neither happens in IIT Indore nor in NIT Bhopal. It happens in our very own IET. Computer science is the best course in this college with the highest placement rate. So if you're getting CS here, get here.

It has good placements, average teachers, but a great social life.
Placements: About 70% of the students got placed in on-campus placement. Around 80-85% of the students from CS and IT who attended for the on-campus placements got selected. The highest salary package offered this year is 19.5 LPA by VMware. In a non-technical background, the salary package offered is 12 LPA. Many students from lower branches like mechanical and civil are recruited by mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Accenture with a package that ranges between 3-4 LPA. If you have good skillset you will get an internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Recently, a new computer lab was opened, which is fantastic. It has 160 computers which are all recently installed. Other labs are also good. It has a small library, but a new library is under construction which will be completed by the next semester. The college campus does not include any sports field, but almost every sports facility is provided on the campus, which is around 1 kilometre from the college. The college provides three boys hostel and one girls hostel. First-year students live in one hostel while the other students live in the other two hostels. Girls hostel is good, but all the boys' hostel is pathetic. It provides two mess for boys and one for the girls. Quality of food served in all the mess is good.
Faculty: Since the college comes under DAVV, it has the power to change its course according to the current market demand. The course curriculum covers all the necessary subjects, and it is pretty similar to any other engineering college's course. All the teachers in our college are experienced, but their teaching quality varies. Some of them are very cooperative and understanding, while others are just limited to the classroom.
Other: The best thing about college is its cultural fest, named Aakshank, which is organised at our college. It is one of its kind fest filled with fun, and exciting events which is a must for everyone.

It has good infrastructure, good faculty, great placements and average hostel facility,
Placements: Almost 90-95% of students in our course got placed. The highest salary package offered is 19.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges between 5-6 LPA. Infosys, Wipro and Mu Sigma are mass recruiters of our college. A software engineer role is offered to the students. About 50% of students got an internship this year. VMware is the top company, which offered the highest salary package of 19.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available all over the campus with the best speed. Labs are well constructed with proper working systems. Classrooms are well-maintained with proper cleanliness. All books are available in the library, and a new grand library is under construction. The hostel is a great place to live in. The infrastructure not that good. It is hygienic. There is no much place for sports, but we work with that. A mess is average. You will get bored by eating mess food, but tiffin services are available outside.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and helpful. Teaching quality is excellent. You have to work by yourself to get ready for jobs. If you work hard, you will get placed in this branch. The course curriculum has a lot of theoretical knowledge. It is not updated from years, and it is very old. Most of the course is of no use.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like computers. The best thing about this course is you will get a job in 4 years for sure. The college should focus more on preparing students for jobs rather than providing theoretical knowledge. Our college can beat any other college in events. Students organise the biggest cultural fest of central India named Aakshank with a little help from faculty members. Big stars like Zakir khan, Jubin Nautiyal, etc., are invited to our college.

Satisfied because of the quality of students and the learning opportunities offered.
Placements: Placements in our college were pretty good considering the kind of companies that are visiting here. Almost all the students got placed from our college. Well-reputed companies like Barclays, Adobe, Deloitte and many others visited the campus for placements. On the zeroth day of the placement season, companies like Cognizant, Infosys and Wipro visited the campus, and almost 60% of the batch got placed.
Infrastructure: The facilities offered here are pretty good. We had well-managed labs with all the latest technologies inculcated. The quality of the food offered was okay. As this college was established in 1995, the infrastructure was okay with the old blocks. However, two new blocks were constructed during our tenure, and they were very good.
Faculty: Many of our professors were involved in a lot of research related activities, and that actually made us a lot to learn. Many professors use to go to foreign countries for presenting papers twice a year. Practical aspects were also inculcated in our curriculum, and that helped us learn a lot.
Other: Our college was ranked 2nd in Madhya Pradesh not only because of the quality of students but also because of the quality of events that we hosted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Is there enough demand for BTech graduates in the job market?
A:

If we look at the market demand, no doubt there is huge demand for BTech (Full Form: Bachelor of Technology) graduates among top recruiters who are constantly looking for skilled and knowledgeable students with fresh ideas to enhance their business growth and profitability.

Having said that, a few previous-year employment reports published by the Business Standard and Times of India suggest that students found it a struggle to land a high-paying job after completing BTech because of a lack of industry-specific skills and knowledge and cut-throat competition between Lacs of engineering students hunting for a job.

Hence, it is very important for students to focus on enhancing their skill set according to industrial demands and technological advancements, stay updated regarding all industry trends, build good networks and, most importantly, take up internships to gain experience and stand out in front of the employer.

Q:   Is the BTech Mechanical Engineering syllabus the same for all colleges?
A:

The BTech Mechanical Engineering syllabus is not the same across all colleges, as every college committee sets a particular coursework pattern at the start of every academic year to be followed for the respective batch. The syllabus includes some core subjects, interesting electives, and lab work that gives detailed knowledge to the students about the workings of the field.

Q:   Are private sector BTech jobs better-paying than government jobs?
A:

Well, yes. The private sector BTech jobs in India offer a higher earning potential than the government sector jobs, including promotions, yearly bonuses, performance rewards, etc., along with a plethora of career options across different sectors. Having said that, there is less scope for job stability in the private sector due to market downturns.

The government sector is known for decent job security and other benefits like health insurance and retirement benefits. Rest, you can sit and decide for yourself whatever suits your interests the best. Best wishes.
