Try to avoid taking an admission in IET DAVV.
Placements: The average package offered in this course is around 6.7–7.5 Lacs, with around 96% of students getting placed (I got this data from the orientation program, which was held on the 2nd day of college). CS/IT-Branch-Students get more placement offers. In 2021-22, the highest package was above 40 Lacs, and in the year 2022-23, the highest package was about 22 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus has one of the worst infrastructures you can find in a college. It doesn't even provide basic things like a working fan. The chairs and benches are in very bad condition, the walls seem like they're from around 2 decades old. The college didn't get renovated. Washrooms don't have water, with water coolers in a very bad condition. There is a library, which has zero books. You can only get the syllabus-books. There is Wi-Fi with 1 Kbps speed. The canteen is very small and it doesn't have availability of snacks. There is no playground in the campus. They don't even have a single chessboard.
Faculty: The teachers are good, but as it is an independent university, they can change the syllabus at the very last moment. The exam level is high, and except for maths, it is very difficult to find study material for the exam. The teachers aren't really strict regarding the attendance. There are 3 mid-semester tests conducted, while in the other colleges, the number of tests conducted is only 2.

Infrastructure needs an upgrade but overall its a good college.
Placements: Most of the students in our college participating in placements have received at least 1 job offer irrespective of their branch. The placement percentage is also good, around 94% or higher. The companies recruiting here include LG, Nucleus, Barclays, ZS, Quantiphi, and many more. The highest on-campus placement here was around 30 LPA, while off-campus it reached 56 LPA. Specifically in my branch (Electronics and Telecommunication), the average package ranges between 11-15 LPA.
Infrastructure: The entire campus has Wi-Fi access in every block, whereas in hostels, Wi-Fi speed is better, reaching up to 150 mbps. As the college is a bit old, the infrastructure is decent, and the furniture is acceptable. The classrooms evoke a similar atmosphere to your previous school. The labs are well-maintained and can accommodate 100-120 students. The quality of food in the hostel mess is, honestly, average, but the canteen in the girls' hostel is quite good. Unfortunately, there are no sports facilities in our college, so we have to rely on DAVV University for all the facilities. IET is university-owned (DAVV being a government university and IET a government college), so there is no issue. We have an inter-branch sports meet every year, wherein all the branches participate, making it a really cool event.
Faculty: Some of the teachers here are really good at teaching, possessing a strong knowledge of the subject and offering support in every circumstance. I've encountered many excellent teachers in my semesters. However, there are also faculty members who are very strict and serious. It's important to maintain good relations with your teachers as they do care about you to some extent. Regarding semester exams, the exams here are moderately challenging. If you study well, you can achieve good marks in your MSTs/Class tests, which can positively impact your grades in the end-of-semester examinations. The pass percentage here is around 75-80%.
Other: The biggest event organized by IET DAVV in Central India is Fest, where many renowned celebrities and top performers participate. Numerous activities are held, and students participate with great enthusiasm.

Best state government college .
Placements: Placements are pretty good here; you can have a package of 10 LPA+ if you maintain your CGPA above 8. Especially the circuit branches have options and pretty decent exposure for placements. Students can sit for college campus placements with more than one company.
Infrastructure: Buildings are kind of old and hostel rooms are a little too small and gloomy. Although their are many blocks for different branches that are kind of new,. The college also has labs such as a combustion lab and mechanical workshop, as well as an incubation centre (which is only used as the new library).
Faculty: IET has some pretty good professors as well as some bad ones. As you know, you need to study by yourself anyway, irrespective of your college. IET conducts three MST tests (20 marks each) for every semester and takes the marks of your best of two MST tests.
Other: IET has a separate campus from DAVV University; hence, to harness the facilities of the basketball stadium and raving trek, you need to visit the DAVV campus, which is just around 2 km away from the IET main gate.

IET DAVV - short review .
Placements: About 80–90% are placed with an average package of 8–11 LPA for all branches, which is above average compared to other colleges in MPDTE counseling. The highest package offered was 1.13 crore, which was an off-campus placement. Internship season starts in the third year.
Infrastructure: The hostel is okay, but the building is a bit old. There is okay Wi-Fi connectivity, which helps a lot. Hostels have a 100–150 Mbps speed in general through LAN and about 50 Mbps through Wi-Fi. The labs have all the equipment needed but they are a bit old.
Faculty: There is a lot of emphasis on studies with three midterm tests. There is strict checking on each paper, which helps you score in the end-of-semester exams. The course is not highly relevant but has some good electives as well, which could help in the future. The semester exams are a bit tough, with electrical being the toughest.
Other: The college is on the outskirts of the city.

Our college follows the CBCS system which includes 3 mid-semester tests. Two tests are conducted in the consideration of evaluations. We have final semester exams. Our course curriculum makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate. The pass percentage is around 70-80%.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in electronics and electrical things. Our college should provide more practical experiments. Our college organises central India's biggest Aakshank fest. It organised E- Summit recently. Our college provides scholarships to all eligible students. Our college is 4 km away from the Indore railway station. It is 15 km away from an Indore airport. Our college is 3 km away from the bus stand. Our college offers a city bus at an affordable price for day scholars.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Are private sector BTech jobs better-paying than government jobs?
A:

Well, yes. The private sector BTech jobs in India offer a higher earning potential than the government sector jobs, including promotions, yearly bonuses, performance rewards, etc., along with a plethora of career options across different sectors. Having said that, there is less scope for job stability in the private sector due to market downturns.

The government sector is known for decent job security and other benefits like health insurance and retirement benefits. Rest, you can sit and decide for yourself whatever suits your interests the best. Best wishes.
