Take this college only if you get CS/IT.
Placements: The highest package was 31 LPA for 2023 batch and average was 8 LPA. The placement was decent and good number of companies visited the campus. Almost 90% students got placed in CS/IT, the placements are decent for Electronics and telecommunication and Electronics and Instrumentation. There is almost zero placement for Civil and Mechanical branch. From this year onwards, new branch Computer Science with business analytics is added into college. Z associate, NRI fintech, Z scale, VM Aware, TCS, Delloite, Credit Susie, Deutsche bank were main companies which came for recruitments.
Infrastructure: All labs and buildings are good, but hostels and mess are unhygienic and stingy. The campus is big enough but due to lack of negligence too many wild shrubs has grown inside the campus, there is a lake inside campus but it is becoming a swamp due to lack of maintenance. Sports facilities are available but they are very limited, and to access them we have to go to the main campus of DAVV which is 1 km away from IET. There is only one canteen in whole college which is over priced and with no proper sitting area and that too is unhygienic.
Faculty: The curriculum is well designed and fulfills all the industry needs. Some teachers are very humble and polite as well as knowledgeable, on the other side half of the teachers have nothing to do with students, God knows what kind of ego they have. But of course some teachers are very good too. Difficulty of semester exams depends upon faculty allotted. Few exams are very easy and few are very tough. The passing percentage is 35 marks out of 100.
Other: I got Information Technology branch, which is good branch with good placements. Almost every student in this institute get at least one scholarship. I got MMVY scholarship under which I got all my tuition fee as well as hostel fee get paid by government, so I am studying here for free. I wish Infrastructure of college should be improved as well as the college should clear wild forest grown inside the campus and make some new buildings with some chilling monuments for students. This will grow the reputation of college and will attract best talent. Events happens regularly in college, same as fests, but Annual fest AKSHANK is something which is spending for last 5 years. Campus crowd is decent at least in CS/IT branch. There are more students who prioritize marks instead of those who prioritize knowledge and skills. I wish college should do something to make students problem solvers not job seekers.

Reality Of IET DAVV:- Should you take admission?
Placements: Over 90% is the placement percentage of our college. The average package offered here is about 5 LPA and maximum package offered here is about 26 LPA. There is also a 56 LPA package offered off campus by the Australian company Atlassian. The companies that visit here are Wipro, Zs Associates, Atlassian, Goldman Sachs, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and Amazon.
Infrastructure: There are all the basics that you will get in our college: blackboards, whiteboards, smart boards, different department labs, a central library, student Wi-Fi, and average overall infrastructure. In the hostel, there will be 2 shared rooms with decent facilities; there is also a college mess whose food is fine; and there is a canteen area where you will get all the basic amenities. There is a cricket ground where you can play cricket and to play other sports, you have to go to the university, which is 1 km away.
Faculty: All teachers are well qualified and experienced and all are Ph.D. holders with deep knowledge of their respective subjects. The curriculum is truly meant to make students industry-ready. Here, you will be taught about subjects in your fields. There are well-established labs for each department. End seems to be much more difficult than whatever professor teaches in class is asked in the end.. Generally, every student passes exams.

Good return on investment.
Placements: IET DAVV Indore is known for its strong placement records in the Information Technology department. The highest placement is 57 Lacs per annum, and the average placement is around 5 to 7 Lacs per annum. There is a good return on investment. Some mass recruiters include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Accenture.
Infrastructure: IET DAVV boasts a sprawling campus with a mix of modern and older buildings. The central library, IT center, and auditorium are well-equipped and cater to the needs of Information Technology students. Classrooms are spacious and well-lit, equipped with projectors and other teaching aids. The canteen is decent, and food options are also diverse.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, with most of them holding PhDs and M.Tech degrees. They possess strong industry experience and actively contribute to research and publications. IET uses a continuous evaluation system, which involves regular quizzes, assignments, and presentations.

It is an average college with average placement.
Placements: The college has a very active training and placement cell, that provides assistance to the students in finding suitable job opportunities. The placement cell invites various reputed companies, to conduct placement drives in the college. The college has an average track record of placements.
Infrastructure: The hostels are well furnished and are in a very good condition. They also have a high-speed Wi-Fi network. The library provides you books, free of cost. Mess food quality is bad, but you can order food from outside.
Faculty: The faculty members of this college are highly qualified and experienced. They are always ready to support the students. The academic curriculum is very tough here and teachers also give very less marks in exams. They stop students from organizing events.
Other: I chose IT course, as I secured 94% in JEE Mains.

Ot is the best tier-3 government college of Madhya Pradesh.
Placements: The average salary package of the college is increasing every year, mainly in computer engineering and information technology. The placement percentage is also increasing every year. Almost every student in CE and IT got an offer. Many students of IET-DAVV are getting placed in companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Microsoft through off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. Hostels are also good, but not that good. You will get a good company in a hostel and enjoy yourself a lot. In terms of infrastructure, hostels are not that good.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are good and supportive, but only if you communicate well with them. Otherwise, you may feel like they are not being supportive. You need to communicate with them in a respectful manner. The curriculum is also good. The course consists of 8 semesters, and there are 3 midterm examinations and an end-of-semester examination every semester. After the end of the semester examination, practicals and vivas are also done. The college is not RGPV affiliated. It has its own curriculum.

Q:   Are private sector BTech jobs better-paying than government jobs?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

Well, yes. The private sector BTech jobs in India offer a higher earning potential than the government sector jobs, including promotions, yearly bonuses, performance rewards, etc., along with a plethora of career options across different sectors. Having said that, there is less scope for job stability in the private sector due to market downturns.

The government sector is known for decent job security and other benefits like health insurance and retirement benefits. Rest, you can sit and decide for yourself whatever suits your interests the best. Best wishes.
