IET DAVV- The college review.
Placements: At least 80% of students got placed in the college. The average salary is 6 LPA. There are more than 108 recruiters. Some of the past recruiting companies are Wipro, MU-Sigma, Infosys, Capgemini, Kotak Mahindra, Byju's, and ZS. The placements are more in the above branches, like CS and IT and less in mechanical and civil.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are average. Not that good but reasonable and affordable to the lower-income class. Mess food is below average in the IET DAVV. Most of the students prefer outside tiffin and canteen facilities. Overall, the hostel and mess are on campus, which reduces travel for students.
Faculty: The IET is affiliated with DAVV University. The exams are moderate to tough in the semesters and are divided into 3 mid-semester tests, out of which 2 are considered the best. The curriculum is relevant to some extent. The pass percentage is 35 per subject per semester.

The college faculty is very nice and also good facilities are provided by IET DAVV.
Placements: The highest package offered in my course is about 30 lacs, and the average package is 8 lacs. The students who got above 7 CGPA were placed in my course, and the companies visited were Mahindra and Tata. The percentage of students selected is much higher; almost all students who did not have backlogs were selected.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in my college are good; we have Wi-Fi in every building, classrooms are also clean and the library provides all books with good qualities. The mess food is not very good and all types of sports were provided at my university.
Faculty: The teachers teaching methods are good; they are helpful and some teachers are very good. The semester exam is not very tough and the pass percentage is nearly 30 percent. Yes, the course is curriculum-relevant; it teaches how they got promoted or prepares them for future knowledge.
Other: I chose this course because I want to do engineering. The things I want to improve are technique and learning skills. There are many types of events that were conducted in my college.

IET-DAVV - You should go for it or not?
Placements: Around 80% students got placed in IET- DAVV. The highest package in Mechanical is 28lpa and average package is 7lpa. Top recruiters are Accenture amdocs VMware Value Labs etc. Not a lot of students applied for the internship so the number in this case is low. Top roles offered are SDE, Business Consultant and web developed.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for the hostel is average the rooms are average not luxury you can live in them but if you can afford hostels outside you should go for them. The canteen doesn't have much options and the mess food is really trash. The college buildings are old build up and needs renovation. The classrooms have a projector and pcs which is a plus point.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, and knowledgeable but the teaching style is old school for the case of some of the teachers they need to evolved them as the knowledge they are providing in the classroom goes for waste as many students didn't understand the topic. The course curriculum is kind relevant but not mostly in 2023. Pass percentage for exams is 35%.

I am satisfied with this college because of its placements.
Placements: Our college provides good placements. Our college has a placement cell. Many students got placed in our college. Many good companies visit our college to recruit students. The highest salary package offered is 57 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 PA.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good. The hostel rooms are small. They are not good. The hostel fee is Rs. 22,000 per semester. The Wi-Fi facility is good. The hostel has water problem. Washrooms are not much clean.
Faculty: Our faculty members are good and helpful. If you ask them something, they will answer you. They are knowledgeable. They change the class schedule. Almost 75% of attendance is mandatory.
Other: I am not satisfied with this college because of its culture.

Best state government college in Madhya Pradesh.
Placements: Placement here very good, almost every student get placed, also both tech and non tech companies come for recruitment. Last year almost 97% of students who sit placement got placed. The highest package was offered was of 22 Lacs (on campus) and 50 Lacs (off campus), average package is of 6 Lacs and the lowest package was offered was of 4.5 Lacs. Top companies for my course (mechanical engineering) are Honda, LG, Mahindra and many other big companies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well furnished, Wi-Fi in every block, LAN connection in every room in hostel and labs are also well furnished. Facilities in hostel are very good, good food, four times a day, also canteen is open 24 hr and mess is optional, i.e. if you don't want to eat in mess, you can eat in other mess, which is good, as it allow to have option, and we can eat where food taste good.
Faculty: Talk about teachers they all good, they have Masters and Ph.D. degree, teaching is very good, you can see professionalism in their teaching. The curriculum is very relevant if I say about for industry, almost every teacher have a work experience in their respective field. Semester exam are not that tough here, just with lecture notes and basic level of practice, paper will feel to easy level, passing percentage are 35 marks out 100 in total.

Q:   Are private sector BTech jobs better-paying than government jobs?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

Well, yes. The private sector BTech jobs in India offer a higher earning potential than the government sector jobs, including promotions, yearly bonuses, performance rewards, etc., along with a plethora of career options across different sectors. Having said that, there is less scope for job stability in the private sector due to market downturns.

The government sector is known for decent job security and other benefits like health insurance and retirement benefits. Rest, you can sit and decide for yourself whatever suits your interests the best. Best wishes.
