A quick review of IMS Kolkata.

Placements: The placement of this college is better than that of the other colleges. They provide us with a good range of placements. Approximately 60–70% of students were placed on campus. Packages are around 2–3 LPA. Some of the of the top recruiters are Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and Quick.com. Also, they provide some internship facilities.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is average because of this environment. The college is near the road so many noises are created so the students may not be comfortable with this and cannot be properly focused on studying. Wi-fi and air conditioning facilities are available. The library is good, with more than 5000 books. Sports facilities are available.

Faculty: Faculty members are good and they are really helpful to us. They are also friendly. Their guidance makes the students motivated. They helped us a lot so that we could achieve our future goals. They give us extra classes. And the course curriculum is good. Semester exams are medium-level tough.

It is a good college to study but not good with infrastructure and other activities.

Placements: It is an average college for BBA that provides most unpaid internships and some charge money to provide internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not good. Rooms are small and the canteen facility is poor and not hygienic. The Wi-Fi connection is not good. The library is not good and consists of old books

Faculty: Some of the faculty members in our college are helpful and some are not. All of them are qualified but they don't complete the syllabus on time. The course curriculum is very good but students have to study themselves. The pass percentage is 40%. Exams are not tough to score well.

Other: I chose this course to get knowledge about the business field and to pursue MBA. This course helps a lot in the business field. Our college organises events very rarely. Extracurricular activities are not organised in our college.

A review of Institute of Management Studies.

Placements: Placements in college are good compared to most of the other colleges. Placements this year were excellent. The recruiters in this year were TCS, Amazon, Samsung R&D, etc. If we talk about the previous year placements, they were also very good. So, placements are average sometimes and excellent the other times.

Infrastructure: The college has an average infrastructure. The biggest problem is the environment outside the college as there are traffic, noise, etc. But the library is very good, and I like it. A flyover is under construction now, so a particular block in the college faces inconvenience.

Faculty: Faculty members are very friendly, especially the teachers of maths and computer and economics. They help students in clearing their doubts about any topic in the subject. They also provide extra classes for students even if it is a college holiday, i. e., Saturday. Faculty members are very good.

Other: The college organises many types of events. But my favourite is the freshers welcome which the college organises every year, at the time of September.

A good college to get the degree, but one shouldn't expect placements from this college.

Placements: Students are offered only retailer jobs. Placements are not that good, and students are offered jobs mostly in Jharkhand and Siliguri. The salary package offered to MBA students here is 2 LPA, and the students of the BBA department and other undergraduate students get way lesser package than that. Students rarely get any good placement opportunities in a good location and with a good package.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is okay. The college has the air-conditioning facility, but the ACs are powered only during seminars and guest lecturers. Washrooms are pathetic. Classrooms are good; some are spacious, and some are small depending upon the strength of the students. The auditorium is fully air-conditioned, and they started providing the drinking water facility recently.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are good, very helpful and cooperative. Teachers are amazing, and they help you in every possible way. They know what they are teaching, and even the course curriculum is great. It keeps you involved with your subjects. Our faculty also provide assignments for each subject every semester, and there are some credit points associated with every assignment.

Other: Our college doesn't organise any fests or events. Only freshers' party and farewell party are organised here.

It was good due to faculty and course.

Placements: The placements were fine and fair for the postgraduate students as they were getting placed in good companies with good packages. Many companies came for the recruitment, but the undergraduate scenario was opposite as few companies came that to very low package and only 3-4 students got placed.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The classrooms are fully AC, and Wi-Fi enabled and are in good condition which makes ambience fair enough to study and concentrate. The library was good with more than 5000 books. The medical facility was not proper. Sports and games were given preference as there was a good playground for various sports.

Faculty: The faculty are good, have much knowledge, and experience. They should deserve and are very helpful. Their guidance makes the students motivated and focused. If we talk about course, it was easy as subjects were to be chosen by us except the 3 core papers.

Other: Events were organised throughout the year and fest was organised annually. The crowd was not that good.
