B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2020
5.0
Journey that I still remember.
Placements: Placement is great due to mass hiring by IT companies. 50% of students from our batch have been placed in big IT companies. Infosys, TCS, and Wipro are the highest recruiters. But sometimes, we feel that our mechanical field does not offer much. However, opportunities are there for those who understand the situation. We have all been placed at packages of 3.8 LPA, 3.6 LPA, and 4 LPA. Internships are part of the curriculum, and we have all completed a 3-month internship.
Infrastructure: MGM is known for its infrastructure: a big campus, fountain, and garden. Wi-Fi was not available during our time. The library is very clean, with all books and novels available. Hostel rooms are spacious, providing many facilities such as washing machines and two meals a day along with fruits. However, hostel fees are high. The sports ground is very large, with all sports kits available in the sports club.
Faculty: I still remember my friends getting placed, and I am worried about myself. One teacher takes extra classes for me. They are very helpful and kind. The course curriculum is affiliated with BAMU University. Now, I've heard our college will become its own university. They decide their syllabus. Semester exams in our time were the toughest. In our class, only 60% of students cleared all subjects.

The best college in Region JNEC.
Placements: The majority of us secured positions in IT giants such as TCS & Infosys during a mass hiring drive. The highest package is 15LPA, and the average package is 3.6LPA. From our class, 25 out of 80 got placed in TCS and Infosys in the role of a system engineer. We found internships in the final semester through LinkedIn. Infoedge provided remote and paid internships.
Infrastructure: The college is the best infrastructure-wise in our region. The largest campus comprises various mountains and gardens. Free internet is available in the lab, and Wi-Fi is present in the library. Hostels are available for both girls and boys, but the rooms are too small, and the quality of mess food is not good. There is a large canteen where 150 students can sit at a time.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. They mostly use projectors and PPTs for teaching. The course curriculum is provided by Dbatu, but now our college has its own university, making us industry-ready. Semester exams are challenging. We need to score well in practical, moral, and theoretical aspects.

I am absolutely satisfied with our college.
Placements: About 25% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course were Badve Engineering and TCS.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available in our college, and they are on par with the top engineering colleges in India. The quality of the facilities is also good.
Faculty: Our professors possess superb knowledge. Their quality of teaching is very professional and understandable. Our college also conducts various courses to make students industry-ready.

It is a good college in Aurangabad with excellent infrastructure and well-experienced teachers.
Placements: Approximately 60% of the students were placed from our batch. The highest salary package offered was 7.5 LPA by Johnson and Johnson and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are J&J, Greaves Cotton, TCS, Tech Mahindra, IFB, Videocon Industries and GKN Inter Metals. Top roles offered by them were GET roles in marketing, R&D, quality assurance and software engineer. In our course, the average salary package offered is around 3.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: All state-of-the-art facilities are available on this campus. It has the biggest campus in Aurangabad, including all sports amenities, IT labs, R&D labs, robotics labs, thermodynamic labs, material testing labs, automobile lab and AutoCAD lab. I am from Aurangabad, so I can't tell you about the hostel. Canteen is awesome with all south and North Indian items and chat items. Food quality is good.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members have been teaching for more than 15 years, and they are PhD holders in the respective domain be it design subjects, fluid mechanics or thermodynamics. The course is industry-driven, and it provides most of the advance technological courses.
Other: Every year annual fests named Razzmatazz is held in our college.

A college that provides a better future to its students.
Placements: The college has a placement cell which was highly active and supportive for students. More than half of the students were placed through campus placements, and some of the remaining students were placed through off-campus drives. The highest salary package offered to our batch was 11 LPA, and the average salary package offered was above 4 LPA. Many core companies and IT companies visited the campus to offer placements. Various entry-level roles such as graduate engineer trainee, assistant system engineer trainee, managerial roles, etc., were offered. We didn't have any internships. However, our placement cell and professors were supportive, so some of us were allowed to take up the final year projects in companies which provided an opportunity to execute the project.
Infrastructure: The college provided almost every facility. There were a cricket stadium, swimming pool, gymnasium, basketball court, lawn tennis court, table tennis, library, well-equipped labs, digital classrooms, etc. Quality of labs and their infrastructure were at par. The canteen was good, and the quality of food served was good and available at reasonable prices.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were very supportive, highly qualified and knowledgeable about the subjects they taught. The college has a good number of professors who are PhD holders. Some of the teachers adopted the traditional way of teaching, and some used to demonstrate the concepts and emphasise on the practical application of the concepts. We went on industrial visits related to the course, to gain industry exposure.
Other: Events were organised and managed by the students under the guidance of faculty members. National events such as AWUT, Agnitio, RoboTryst, etc., were organised.

Infrastructure, faculty members and placements are very good in the college.
Placements: Being a private college from a small city, 100% placements are not guaranteed. IT companies have been the main recruiters. The number of companies which are visiting the college campus from different domains has been increasing each year. Around 30% of my batch students got placed in the campus placements. For my batch, the highest salary offered was 7 LPA and the lowest offered was 2 LPA, and it is similar for my senior batch. There is a placement cell in the college. Infosys, TCS, and Tech Mahindra were the main recruiters with Johnson and Johnson being the new arrival.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided to students are good. Being a campus that offered all technical education, be it medical, BCA, MCA, polytechnic, architecture, etc. Almost everything was available with the optimum quality standard. Labs were well-equipped. Gymnasium and other sports infrastructure were easily accessible. Hostel rooms were standardised with 2 or 3 sharing rooms with sufficient furniture. The canteen was very popular with some benchmark dishes which are well-known in the city.
Faculty: A few faculty members in the college are experienced, and a few are young. Some of the faculty members were excellent. Some faculty members were experts in their field of work, supportive, and encouraging throughout. Every year, industrial visits were arranged for students. The course curriculum was set by the university. Faculty to student ratio was average.

College has good faculty, good placements and best infrastructure, and a great workshop.
Placements: Placements are good over here. Companies like amazon, videocon, grieves cotton, yeshshree press comps and many more come here for campus interviews.100% placement is there in this college. Depending upon the interest and skills of the students, the companies offer the role to them. Around 80% of students get internship as a trainee engineer and the stipend offered to depends on the respective company. There is a placement cell over here, where students are helped to get their desired job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is great having a vast campus.24 hrs Wi-Fi service with good speed is here. The labs are well-equipped. A great workshop is present here of mechanical engineering students with each a every tool and equipment needed. CNC machine is also present in the workshop. The college has two canteens and both have good quality foods. The hostel for both boys and girls is present inside the college campus. Every facility required for students is available here.
Faculty: Yes the faculty members are helpful and well qualified. Many of the teachers have Ph.D. and Masters degree in their respective subject. The teacher teaches theory as well as practicals are conducted for better understanding of students. Many of the time industrial visits and experts talks are conducted in college for students to get industrial knowledge. If you choose mechanical engineering then its best for you and your future.
Other: Many events are carried out here which helps the students to stay active and motivated. Technical events like proyecto ect are carried out here, cleanliness drives, farewell party, freshers party and annual gathering and many more events are here. The atmosphere and surroundings of campus is good. Students are motivated to take part in extracurricular activities.

MGM's Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College, Aurangabad (MH). .
Placements: Last year placement was better, 50 students were placed. But this year till now only 10 students are placed from all branches. This year college is engaged with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Raigad. So I think from next year placements will be more.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is awesome. Even I haven't seem this type of modern construction in Pune or any other cities. MGM Campus is too much large. It is spread in 65 acres. MGM is the Aurangabad's oxygen zone. We feel enthusiastic in this type of atmosphere.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders. Some of them are post doctorate. One of best faculty is of mechanical department. The way they teach is too good. You will get more practical knowledge in this college. All the facilities are free with students.
Other: One of the best thing of this college is Razzmatazz means annual programme. You won't find this enjoyment and knowledge in any other colleges.
