About JGEC (campus, hostel, placements).
Placements: Placements for non-core branches at JGEC are quite good. Top companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, etc., visit every year. Students with good communication skills easily get placed with 6 LPA - 8 LPA packages. Few even crack higher offers through off-campus drives. The TNP cell and seniors are very supportive, even the non-core students have ample opportunities.
Infrastructure: Hostel life is lively. Well-ventilated and spacious rooms are present. The hostels are surrounded by greenery, which gives a calm vibe. It provides 24-hour water and electricity in the hostels. Mess food is average but hygienic. There is a canteen nearby that offers snacks, tea, etc. The library provides thousands of books.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable, approachable, and supportive. Professors explain concepts clearly and even guide students for GATE research and placements. Labs and assignments help develop hands-on skills (especially in technical subjects). Academics feel balanced and manageable.

JGEC is good for campus life and to get a good placement in your hands.
Placements: Here, most placements are in non-core departments and placement is between 5 to 9 LPA, and the highest is 18 LPA. Here, 95 % students got placement in many reputed companies, and others chose a path for higher degrees like M.Tech, UPSC, and many others. There are many clubs for coding and studying other things.
Infrastructure: There are four hostels on our campus for each year, and one ladies' hostel. Hostel food is more delicious, and the hostel infrastructure is very beautiful. On the roof of our hostel, Kanchenjunga is clearly visible, and beside the hostel campus, a tea garden is present, so nature is beautiful. In the hostel, you get free Wi-Fi, and the hostel has a library.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and well qualified, often with good experience, many students find them helpful and approachable. Doubts cleared and idea is given for our students, like placements and projects from our teachers. JGEC is an autonomous college, so there is an opportunity to get a good CGPA.
Other: Mind it, JGEC is an autonomous college.

JGEC at a glance: Spending my college life with full joy. Good campus. Well placement.
Placements: Ninety-six percent of students were placed in our course. Last year, the highest package was 22 Lacs per year, and the lowest was 3.6 Lacs per year in our course. The top recruiting companies are Cognizant, JUSPAY, Amazon, and Infosys. More than 50 percent of students got an internship, with top roles as SDE intern.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi available in our hostel. We have computer labs in our college. Classrooms are well-designed. We also have a library in our college and one-year hostel. The quality is not too good in our hostel, and the food is also below average. We have some big grounds on our campus for sports, and we get some government funding for sports and the gym.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in our college. They are well-qualified in their subjects, and the teaching quality is also very good for most of them. The curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry. Semester exams are quite difficult for some students, with a pass percentage of 70 to 80 percent.
Other: I chose this course as I got a good rank in WBJEE, and now I am interested in this course. I also received SVMCM scholarship.

I will highly appreciate this college specially IT department as it is worth it.
Placements: In my course I. e Information Technology, almost 95% student are placed in various IT company like TCS, Infosys, HCL and other FAANG like Microsoft, Amazon, Google etc. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, HCL and many other company. Mainly for freshers companies offer roles like Web Developed, Android Developed, Data Analyst, System Programmer, Security Analyst etc. Information Technology department is the top department in our college, which offer the lowest package of 4-5 LPA, average package of 8-10 LPA and the highest package from our department is 60 LPA. On an average 80% student got internship opportunities in various teach filled.
Infrastructure: In our department classrooms are well organised with different classroom for every year. Smart board system and a Hybrid study system in every classroom. Labs are well organised with high-speed internet and available computer for every student for their practical work. In our campus there are total 5 hostel, 4 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel. Hostel condition are moderate but government recently funded for renovation in our hostel and the renovation work is running. Our hostel food quality is average. Jalpaiguri Superspeciality Hospital is 5 minute distant from our hostel, so the medical facilities are good enough.
Faculty: The teachers are very much talented in their respective domain, and they are very much helpful. The teaching quality of all the teachers is very good. In each semester there are internal exam and a final semester exam. If you attained class regularly then semester exam is so easy. Being an autonomous college the question paper is prepared by the class teacher of respective subject, so it is important to attain the class regularly.
Other: Information Technology is most demanding course right now. This course makes you industry ready for IT jobs. There are two main fest in our college, one is cultural fest I. e JECLET and other is teach fest SHRISTI. Cultural fest is the biggest fest in north Bengal. You can apply for various gov scholarship like SVMCM and also you cal apply for other alumni scholarship provided by only our institutes alumni association.

Jgec | good placement | value of money | friendly faculty | huge campus life.
Placements: Almost 90% of students got placed this year. The highest package got from CSE 60 LPA. And avg package in Non-core (CSE, IT, ECE) is around 8-9 LPA company (Atlassian, Knorex, Microsoft, Byju's etc.). And on-campus core placement is awesome this year. L&T, Coca-Cola, Voltas etc. Company came to our college. In the view of placement both core and non-core are decent.
Infrastructure: As it is a totally government-funded college, hostel infrastructure is average. You expect it with IIT, NITs. But it is surely manageable. The total cost of hostel and food is 30k (yearly). And course fees vary with depth. I am from IT depth. It is most costly in JGEC like all government colleges (24k yearly). CSE & ECE (12K) core (6K).
Faculty: Teachers are very cooperative and friendly in manner. They are really so helpful. As a government college's proof, they are not like that. Yes, the curriculum is not tough, but if you study regularly what proof gives us in lecture. It's enough to score good semester. For your kind information, our college is autonomous.
Other: Campus is so big. It's Bengal's 2nd largest campus after IIT KGP. And seniors are so helpful. They treat us as their brothers and sisters. There is no ragging issue, which is one of the most popular questions. Connectivity is also good; the college is on NH37 and near railway stations JPE, JPG, NJP, etc. And as it is in Bengal, if you are eligible for SVMCM, then you can get a 60k yearly scholarship. For extracurricular activities, here you have lots of clubs for sports, dancing, singing, art, coding, almost all types.
