Calcutta University WBJEE cut off 2023 was concluded after the release of the Mop-Up Seat Allotment Result for admission to the BTech course. As per the Calcutta University cut off 2023, the last round closing rank for the BTech course ranged between 1207 and 27788 for the General All India category students. Analysing the last round cutoff data, BTech in Computer Science and Technology turned out to be the most competitive specialisation at Kolkata University. 

Considering the WBJEE cutoff 2023, candidates seeking admisison to Calcutta University BTech programme must secure a rank between 753 and 27788 (for General category). 

To get admission to BTech at Calcutta University, students need to qualify for the state-level entrance exam, i.e., WBJEE with a valid score. Candidate must also meet the minimum eligibility criteria, which is a class 12 pass with 50% aggregate. Eligible students can further fill out the online form (caluniv.ac.in). The university further shortlists students based on their entrance test scores and allot seats.

The University has not released the stream-wise placement data for BTech. As per the combined statistics given in the NIRF report 2024, out of 289 students, 199 were placed during Calcutta University BTech placements 2023. This makes the placement rate 69%. No, studying at Faculty of law, Calcutta University is not at all expensive. The fees structure is very reasonable and better than other law colleges of the area. Doing 5 year BA+ LLB course from this istitution costs 87.2 K - 3.2 L, which is very resonable if we see the returns on investment. The placement packages of this Institute are also very good, seeing the fees structure. The median package offered to BA LLB and PG  students during the recent placement drive were 7.84 LPA and 9.20 LPA respectively. Various scholarships are also provided to students, so that they can get some relief from the fees. So overall it can be said that, studying at Faculty of law is not very expensive. 

No, you cannot take admission at Faculty of law, Calcutta university with CLAT score. This is because CLAT is an entrance test only for admission in National Law Universities in India. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) conduct entrance test which is WBCHSE entrance test, by which students can take admission at this Institute. Cutoffs will be released by the Institute according to the seats intake and applications. So, to take admissions at this Institute only this entrance test is to be qualified and students cannot use CLAT score to take admissions.
