Review of K J Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai.
Placements: Btech placements are good, with 10 LPA for Btech, 13 LPA for computers, and 11 LPA for IT. The top roles offered were SDE, with the lowest package being 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies were JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and Edelweiss. A compulsory internship is there in the college.
Infrastructure: All types, except single sharing, all other options are there in the hostel. WiFi is quite slow, food is good, only vegetarian and Jain options are there, as college follows Gandhian rules and regulations, medical facilities are absent , sports and games in campus is good and they are of Olympic level with proper equipment.
Faculty: The faculty is excellent, especially for computer-related departments and the marking scheme is also very lenient. Scoring good marks in the exam is really easy and not that difficult. The course and curriculum are updated and project-based learning is there.
Other: I chose this course because no other good options were there except this , and placement and exposure I get here are really good.

Worthless in terms of ROI.
Placements: Most of the students from electronics and telecommunication engineering department were placed with average or above average package. The highest salary offered can go upto 58 LPA while average package is 10 LPA. Companies coming for placements vary from year to year.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in campus. Labs are well-equipped. Classrooms are AC facilitated. Library has moderate to good facilities. Food is quite good in canteen as well as in mess. Medical facilities are also provided in campus especially in case of emergency.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Good quality teaching is provided. Course curriculum is upto the mark which almost makes the students industry ready. Semester examinations are quite difficult while passing percentage is kept moderate upto 60%.

It is a good college with a big campus and very good faculty members.
Placements: Placements are good in our college. Top companies like JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley recruited students with a salary package of 20 LPA. Oracle and other similar companies offered a salary package of 10 LPA to 12 LPA. The average salary package is 10 LPA. Multiple companies have lined up at the beginning of the previous to provide many internships.
Infrastructure: Sports are good. High-speed Wi-Fi is provided in our college. The food served is good and the menu is changed every day. Our classmates go to the mess daily. New computers are provided in the labs this year. Library is big. It has a study room and computers for students.
Faculty: Exams are not hard to pass. Our college provides the study material for students. There is no need to get many marks to score a good SCGPA. Teaching is very good for students to study many things.

I am satisfied with this college because of its faculty members and placements.
Placements: Around 50-60% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 9 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Wipro, Barclays, Deloitte, etc. The top role offered is system engineer trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college has labs, classrooms, etc. Our college is Wi-Fi enabled. It has a good speed. The food served in the canteen is good. They provide medical facilities in emergencies.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. They clear our doubts. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant as per industry standards. Semester exams are competitive. If you study according to the teachers' guidance, you can score good marks.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it. They should provide hands-on experience because it is required in the current industry. Many events and fests are held by different committees of the college. Our college crowd is good. There is a specific place to play outdoor games such as football, basketball, cricket, etc.

Review of K J Somaiya College of Engineering.
Placements: Students with impressive resumes begin receiving job offers at our college as early as their third year. The college helps students get jobs by getting reputed companies to conduct on-campus interviews. Most students with a good GPA get placed.
Infrastructure: The fee is high but the infrastructure is not good.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and eager to assist students in any way possible. They are excellent. The course curriculum is relevant and deals with topics that will be useful during placements.

Our college is one of the top and best colleges in Mumbai.
Placements: From the third year, you are eligible for campus placements. The previous year, 43 companies visited and a total of 356 offers were placed. The highest salary package offered was 13.66 LPA and the average salary package offered was 7.54 LPA. This year, surprisingly, the highest salary package was 40 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Capgemini, TCS, Microsoft, L&T, Infotech, etc., visited our campus. Almost 60% of students got internships at companies like Barclays, Morgan Stanley, Cisco, Microsoft, etc. The highest stipend offered was 40 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our university is the best for sports. It had athletic tracks, football, tennis court, and much more which helped us grow in sports too.
Faculty: Faculty members and student ratio were 1:44. Almost all our teachers were Ph.D. scholars in their respective fields and had excellent teaching methods. They use virtual labs to demonstrate experiments, PowerPoint presentations to simplify learning, and a variety of free certification courses to help you stand out from the crowd. Term exams come every 5–6 months.
Other: I chose this course as it has future applications in IoT and also gives a basic understanding of computer programming in the first year. Our college is an autonomous university. You will find the application form along with the dates on the official website of KJSCE. There was no particular improvement I would like to see in the admission process. The entire admission process was done transparently and fairly, giving equal opportunities to all applicants to be a part of this prestigious university. You will be eligible for financial aid only if you are physically disabled or have an annual family income of less than Rs. 8,00,000 per annum. There was a student council, an art club called Team Insignia, a drama team called Rhapsody, and many other clubs. You can participate in anything, according to your choice.

Review of K J Somaiya College of Engineering.
Placements: About 60% to 70% of students were able to be placed in campus placements. The highest salary package offered was up to 10 LPA, the average was around 5 LPA, and the lowest was around 3.5 LPA. Microsoft, Shindler, Accenture, TCS, and Morgan Stanley were some of the top recruiters. Students got internships from companies and also got in-house internships. Top roles offered were analyst, GET, developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Excellent infrastructure and facilities were provided. Each floor had 3 routers with very good speed. There were 2 elevators, and 15 students could use them at a time. There were separate hostels for all kinds of students in diploma, degree, and MBA.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and had great knowledge. Most of the facilities have completed their Ph.D. or are pursuing their Ph.D. The course curriculum was designed based on what the actual skills market needed. The quality of semester exams was very good, and the difficulty level was above average. Exams require the actual application of skills that are learned during the course.
Other: Once you enroll in KJSCE, you will come across lots of events, festivals, and extracurricular activities. KJSCE conducts the most popular tech and cultural fest in Mumbai.

Average college experience with some good memories.
Placements: Due to COVID number companies visited the campus was less than the previous years. Most of the companies are IT only one or two core companies. In Electronics department the highest package I know is around 7 lacs and the lowest package offered was around 2lac. Walters kluwer visited our campus and after aptitude test, technical interview, HR interview and VP interview they simply cancel the post they were offering means they took no one from campus saying we no more have openings.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good, Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Classrooms are not so good backlight from windows disturb the board view sometimes. There is no platform in many classrooms so teacher is not properly visible from back benches and bottom of the board is also not visible. Mess is the best thing in somaiya campus you can get unlimited food in 50/- rs (I don't know the latest rate). Canteen is crowded. Playground are most of the time on rent so you can't play much. I didn't avail hostel facility because I stay nearby.
Faculty: Teachers are full of attitude because it's autonomous college so they know our marks are in their hand. Few teachers are exceptions to this but most are same. They will ask you to study from YouTube. In the viva they will ask something which was never taught in classroom so that they can make a fun of you. Course doesn't make you industry ready. Exams are really difficult. Passing percentage is 40%. .
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to be in autonomous college. I did my Diploma in Industrial Electronics so wanted to complete my degree. I wish the teaching quality has to be improved also syllabus is mostly outdated. Campus is really big and neat and clean you can hang around with your friends. You can take part in extracurricular activities if you can adjust it with studies. Fest are the best part of college life. Symphony is great experience.

Yes, you can change your branch from EE to ECE. But you need to appear in the entrance with ECE as your desired branch. At the time of filling the application, ECE should be your preferred branch. Best of luck.

Hello, your score is quite less to get admission in this college. This year (2018-19), the cutoff is around 130-140 for ENTC. Thank you.
