It has also been ranked 9th best college in India (overall category) according to Central Ministery NIRF ranking 2024 i.e 4th among the top colleges of University Of Delhi. Established in 1954, it is located in the North Campus of the university in New Delhi, India. Q:   How are the placements at Kirori Mal College?
A: 

As per Kirori Mal College NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during UG 3-year placements 2023 stood at INR 7.2 LPA. Further, a total of 358 students were placed and 1020 opted for higher studies out of total 1714 students during UG 3-year placements 2023.

Earlier, the the highest international and domestic package offered during Kirori Mal College placements 2023 stood at INR 51 LPA and INR 36.5 LPA, respectively. Further, more than 225 companies that visited the campus during Kirori Mal College placements 2023 offered average package of INR 6.8 LPA. In addition, a total of 182 students were placed with the average package accepted stood at INR 8.4 LPA.

Good for Economics Honors.
Placements: The placement opportunities in the college are quite good. The Placement Cell is quite active. Big companies such as Deloitte, Accenture, etc., come for placements. The internships are also quite good. They provide a good package. The LPA goes up to around 30 LPA.
Infrastructure: College campus has all the basic facilities required by students. It includes classrooms, a library, laboratories, & sports infrastructure. Campus is spacious. It has a good atmosphere. Some facilities could be modernized. Hostel accommodation is limited and primarily meant for male students. Facilities are fairly basic.
Faculty: KMC has a strong academic environment. Faculty members are generally well-qualified and experienced. Classes provide a good mix of conceptual learning and discussion. The curriculum is relevant. It gives students a broad understanding of their subject. Exams are conducted according to the pattern and require consistent preparation. However, they are not overly difficult if the syllabus is covered properly.
Other: The college societies are quite great and have a good effect on the resume. They also teach us quite a lot about how to handle corporate life.

Economics Hons is worth it!
Placements: I am a student in Economics (Hons.). Good placement opportunities are provided to students, especially in finance, consulting, accounting, and analytics. Recruiters such as Deloitte, Accenture, EY, BCG, and ZS Associates visit our campus. Overall placements are quite strong, although getting the best packages is competitive. The college reported 130+ students placed overall, with 26.8 LPA, the highest, and 11.96 LPA average CTC.
Infrastructure: A decent infrastructure is available for my course. We have classrooms, library, and computer lab. But Wi-Fi is not working properly, which is disappointing. I am not living in the hostel, so I don't know about the hostel facilities offered.
Faculty: Most teachers are really helpful, but some are not. Every teacher is qualified and knowledgeable, though. Most content in the course does not make one industry-ready. A student must upskill themselves to be able to get a job. Exams are manageable. The exams are decent but require proper studying.
Other: Economics hons has the best departmental society- ECOSOC. It's very helpful AND allows people to manage academics and society work. And being the center head at ECOSOC, I can say that the seniors are really good!

Kirori Mal College: I would recommend.
Placements: Placements are very good. From what I have heard from the seniors the placements are good and my course is reasonably good and does provide good placements for this course. Companies like Accenture and Brain and Co. do come. I'm a Science student, so for that, it is more profitable.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure and good facilities. The canteen and classrooms are also great with a well-maintained canteen and medical rooms. The college only has a boys' hostel but does not have a girls' hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and they actually take a lot of time out to actually make us understand the topic. It is one of the best features of kirori mal college that the faculty is top notch the curriculum is relevant. I guess the semester exams are well timed, and the pass percentage is well suited to the education level. The English department has great faculty,
Other: I chose this college because it is a well-established and respected college of North Campus. The fee is very affordable and I wish there were more canteens. The fest and events infrastructure is very nice and well managed. Our college gives immense importance to extracurricular activities.

Decent placements and internships.
Placements: For Political Science, placement opportunities are generally fewer compared to courses like Economics or B.Com. However, there are still some good opportunities with organizations like Nation with NaMo, Farmley, etc., offering decent roles and packages. Internship opportunities are better throughout the year, with roles ranging from fields such as policy research and formation, content writing, HR, digital marketing, public relations, and more.
Infrastructure: Since the campus is pretty old, some parts of the infrastructure definitely need repair. However, the newer classrooms, Wi-Fi availability in classrooms, the academic auditorium, library, seminar rooms, etc., have decent infrastructure. Overall, like most DU colleges, the red-brick buildings and older architecture are part of KMC as well. Ashoka Lawn is everyone’s favourite go-to spot on campus. The auditorium is currently under construction, which would definitely make the college experience better.
Faculty: Political Science in KMC has one of the best faculty in North Campus. Teachers are extremely qualified and know how to teach. The curriculum is mostly relevant, except for a few things, but it is enough to make people industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate in difficulty. They test how much the student knows, and that is what exams are for.
Other: The cultural societies in KMC are the best. I'm a part of the dance society. The amount of dedication the team has and the respect that comes with being a part of the society is commendable. Moreover, the academic societies are very informative. Societies like FIC and 180DC do live projects, which help us first-years learn a lot.

Amazing environment. Competition is high, and the facilities are great..
Placements: Almost 80 percent of students got placed in top MNCs and consulting companies. The highest package is 15 LPA. The average is 5 LPA. Recruiting companies are Brain, McKinsey, Accenture, and many more. Almost 80 percent of students got internships through the placement cell of the college. Roles offered are consulting, Marketing, technical, and social media.
Infrastructure: Amazing labs and departments. The food is extraordinary and does not feel like hostel mess food. Really worth the fees. We are paying for medical facilities 24/7, great staff, amazing grounds with functional equipment supported by the college and university's great facilities.
Faculty: Amazing intellectual faculty helping with doubts and extra help needed by students. Extraordinary teachers who teach exceptionally well. Courses such as Economics Hons, Stats Hons, B.Com Hons, and many more make you industry-ready.

Absolutely worth the money and curriculum.
Placements: Around 50-60 percent of the students got placed. The highest package is 20 LPA. The lowest is 6 LPA-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are some top consulting and fintech companies offering great exposure. The top roles are around Analyst, decision, financial analysts, and consulting assistants.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi connection works smoothly across the campus and the labs are clean and maintained with all the necessary requirements. The quality of food is very decent and the canteen is hygienic and budget-friendly. The sports complex offers plenty of opportunities, from the gym and boxing to almost all on-ground sports.

In terms of arts, commerce, and science, Kirori Mal College is ranked 9th in India in 2024, and 6th overall in 2023. The Week's KMC Arts ranking places it 12th out of 59 Indian colleges in 2023; in 2020, it was ranked 12th out of 50 colleges. For the course like MA, BA, B.Com. this college can be your priority but as you know in Delhi we have IIT Delhi which offers courses in BTech also BSMS great PhD innovation so KMC is good but not the greatest among all colleges in Delhi. (based on the course you choose).

Well, both the colleges have a very good reputation. Kirori Mal College comes in the North campus while  Maharaja Agrasen College comes in the South campus of University of Delhi. Kirori Mal college is slightly better option than Maharaja Agrasen college in every aspect. & an institution of academic excellence within the University of Delhi. It has successfully maintained its place as one of the finest colleges in the university

Kirori Mal College BA is offered in both regular and honors degrees. The UG-level programme is provided across six semesters lasting for three years. BA (Hons) at Kirori Mal College is available across 10 specialisations including English, Geography,  Hindi, Political Science, History, etc. The BA course cost around INR 37,000 to INR 42,200, which is affordable. Further, the college offers a decent ROI for its BA course. As per the KMC 2023 placement report, the the highest international and domestic package offered stood at INR 51 LPA and INR 36.5 LPA, respectively.
