Great faculty but disappointing infrastructure.

Placements: For the batch of 2025–26, the total number of recruiters is 120+. The median CTC is 6.5 LPA. The highest CTC is 26.8 LPA. The average accepted CTC is 11.96 LPA. The recruiters include companies like D. E. Shaw, Boston Consulting Group, Arcesium, Deloitte USI, Nation with NaMo, and many more.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided in the laboratories are outdated. There are regular issues with Wi-Fi and connectivity. The library facility is good, but internet connectivity is a persistent issue there as well. The infrastructure of the entire college is pretty bad. The hostel infrastructure and food are good.

Faculty: Most teachers in the Mathematics department are knowledgeable and qualified. They are helpful and have great teaching quality as well. The course curriculum is relevant to the real world but lacks the necessary aspects to make students industry-ready. The semester exams are not too difficult.

The research department of Kirorimal College is excellent, one of the finest.

Placements: Average placements, because most of the students studying here are preparing for competitive exams like IIT JAM and UPSC, so if your sole purpose here is obtaining a placement, that would be very hard. The placement cell only takes a very limited number of students from each department.

Infrastructure: Very nice basketball court but other than that, the college has very average infrastructure. The walls and infrastructure need an urgent upgrade. The college classrooms also need an urgent update, and being a top-tier college, it does not have AC classrooms.

Faculty: Excellent faculty, at least for the Maths department, the Maths faculty here is one of the finest in the university which specializes in research work. The course is pretty relevant and is also beneficial for students who are preparing for competitive exams.

I would really recommend keeping this in the top five priorities in DU.

Placements: I am a second-year student right now. I don't know much about the placements. I have heard and seen that more than 50 percent of the students are placed in companies. We get to give interviews at a lot of companies. The companies that come are great companies like Bain & Company and Accenture to pick up students. There's also a placement cell society in our college that gives out lots of opportunities for internships like consultant, analyst, etc.

Infrastructure: KMC has well-equipped classrooms, labs, and Wi-Fi in most places. The quality of facilities in the hostel is also nice as I have heard from many of my classmates. Our college only has a boys' hostel and not a girls' hostel but the rest of the things, like the food, are great. Sports facilities are great. We have a very large field.

Faculty: Our fees are very affordable. Teachers are very helpful. This is one of the best things about KMC especially for the Maths Hons section. Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable. They make sure that everything is taught with clarity to a great extent. The curriculum is very relevant. The exams are at suitable times. They happen twice a year and we also have midterm examinations. They are according to what our course requires and are very suitable for this level of academics.

Other: I chose this course because I have an inclination towards mathematics. The best things about my course are the faculty, the coursework, and the peers and seniors who are very helpful. We also have practical subjects. The events and fests are very nice. It is just that the crowd is too large at such events. It gets overcrowded and there are just a few connectivity issues in certain parts of the campus. But the rest of everything is great. The college makes efforts for extracurricular activities. Sports facilities are also very good.

Somewhat satisfied with the college, would love if they could improve the infrastructure more.

Placements: Kirori Mal College of Delhi University, having NIRF ranking 4, offers great placement support, and a good number of students are placed every year. Around 85 percent of students who sit for placements get placed. The highest package is reported to be 27 LPA, the average is 7 to 9 LPA, and the lowest is 3.5 to 4.5 LPA. Many big companies like KPMG, Zomato, Deloitte, EY, etc., come for placements and internships. Top roles that are offered are in data, analytics, research, and some other fields.

Infrastructure: The facilities in our college are quite good. Our college is well-equipped with everything students need. We have good labs which are well-equipped, spacious classes, and a big and resourceful library. The hostel food is actually quite good and hygienic. As the hostel is renovated in recent times too, it is quite good. The medical facility, the sports complex, and the ground are all well-equipped as well.

Faculty: The faculty is one of the best in Kirori Mal College. They are very helpful, more than qualified, and very knowledgeable as well. The teaching quality is also very good. As for the curriculum, they can improve it, it is not directly industry relevant, and you have to skill up yourself. The semester exams are quite manageable with a bit of study.

Other: I want to go into quantitative finance, so I chose this course. The best thing is that I get to be a bit analytical with this course. I would love it if they could improve the curriculum and make it more industry relevant. The rest of the things such as events, fests, connectivity, etc., are very good. The college has quite an active lifestyle.

Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, review with more than 18 months of experience.

Placements: Placements are average for our course. The main reason is that the Commerce students and the statistics course syllabus are more aligned with the industry. The salary package offered ranges from 4-30 LPA in general, and exceptions also exist. Majorly, the role offered is an analyst position.

Infrastructure: It's been about 72 years since the college was established. The main building is quite old but well-maintained after the recent renovation work. The hostel is amazing in terms of facilities and the life. The major demerit is that it has a limited number of seats.

Faculty: I can proudly say that our college has one of the best sets of faculty members in the university. Teachers are well-qualified with various high-quality research papers and books published in renowned journals and publishers. It's not very difficult to pass examinations, and one can pass examinations by studying for a month before the examination.

Other: I have loved mathematics since childhood, so I chose it. KMC has one of the best faculty and cultures for mathematics, so KMC was one of my top choices. We have various fests in our college throughout the year. Our annual college fest, named Renaissance, is organised.

The worst infrastructure, good faculty members and good crowd.

Placements: Around 60 percent of students got placed in my course. The highest package is 12 LPA and the average package is 5-7 LPA, while the lowest package is around 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Deloitte, KPMG, EY, ZE associate, Wipro, Genpact, and TCS.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college should be improved; it is the worst and this kind of infrastructure you would not expect from one of the best colleges in India. Library has Wi-Fi and it is decent, and classrooms do not have good infrastructure. Since I don't reside in hostel, I don't know about facilities offered in hostel, but canteen offers decent food at cheap rates.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. What else can you expect from one of the best colleges of India? Teachers are friendly and really helpful and don't even hesitate to take an extra class if asked to explain a topic once more. So teachers here are the best. The curriculum is pretty irrelevant as it does not help in real-world scenarios, and semester exams are pretty difficult unless concepts are clear. The pass percentage is 80-90%.

Other: Since for a long period of time I am a person who is always intrigued by critical thinking and problem solving, I perceived mathematics as a subject that is a foundation of both, and this is the reason why I chose Mathematics Hons as my course. I wish the curriculum are more practical and based on real-world scenarios rather than theoretical and writing derivations and proof. The campus crowd is good. Inspire is one of the few scholarships that are offered on merit basis.

Extremely dissatisfied with the infrastructure of the college, but happy with the professors.

Placements: In Kirori Mal College, the maths hons course has two sections, each with about 45 students. Placements vary by skills, with the highest ranging from 25 LPA, the lowest being 6 LPA, and the average of about 8 LPA. The course offers wide flexibility, opening doors to exams and opportunities beyond mathematics, including roles at companies like Accenture and PwC. Students may pursue internships during their studies or in later years, often in the second and third years.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Kirori Mal College is absolutely the worst. The food in the canteen is pretty average. The library is good, but the timings are compatible with most students, as it closes by 6 pm. Hostels are decent. The sight of the arts block is extremely sickening. Wi-Fi doesn't work. The mobile network goes off inside the campus. Classrooms don't even have proper fans. In a class of 30 desks, 3 rows, they have 3 fans. They are thinking that AC is far-fetched.

Faculty: Professors are good, helpful, and knowledgeable. They tend to help when in need. The teaching quality is good, and there's always room for improvement. Out of the 3 DSCs, only probability and statistics are the relevant courses to modern times. Elementary Real Analysis is not worth doing. The concepts from Algebra, like group theory, come in handy when learning new concepts.

I am happy to be in one of the best colleges in the University of Delhi.

Placements: About 30 percent of all students were placed in my course, as far as I know, I can be wrong. The highest package was 23 LPA, the average being 10 LPA, and the lowest being 7 LPA. The top recruitment companies were Deloitte, Wipro, etc. The Top roles offered were those of data analyst and finance analyst. KMC offered over 1 thousand internships to its students last year.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are both below par and average. The Wi-Fi works fine, but there are jammers installed in the college that sometimes hinder the connectivity. The classrooms are spacious, but are not maintained well. Also, there are projectors in the class, but they are not working most of the time. The canteen food is good, the medical facilities are decent, and sports and games can be better.

Faculty: The faculty of the Maths department is pretty solid, they care about their students and reach out to help the students, get their concepts clear and help them grow as a person. The curriculum is outdated as it doesn't cover the practical topics of Maths, rather just textbook topics, which doesn't make students industry-ready. The exams are pretty easy if the student keeps up with their study.

Other: I chose mathematics honours because I am really keen to learn the mathematics course deeply and want to know how things are done, rather than just using a pre-made formula. I would be even happier if there were more practicality in our subject rather than just proving questions. The crowd of Kirori Mal College is pretty good, connectivity and events are decent, and extracurricular activities are nonexistent.

Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing. Final Selection

Hi Aatish, You can change both your college and the course as long as admission process is on and your 12th percentage meets up the cut-off percentage (best of 4/3) in the latest cut off list released by the University. Once the admission process is closed you can not change your Course/Collegd. you
