The facilities are great. Infrastructure is great.
Placements: In my batch, I mean in Mechanical Engineering, most of the students graduated, and their placements are in corners. Our college, Konark Institute of Science and Technology, is good for placements and offerings. We are happy to be a part of this college.
Infrastructure: If we are talking about facilities, then there are lots of facilities available, like a big library, comfortable classrooms, a science lab, etc. Keeping that aside, without having some fun, nothing is valuable in your life. There is a big playground where we always play.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated. In the study room, it feels like we are hearing a story instead of studying materials. Also, all teachers and ma’ams are helpful and well-educated. The exams are not too difficult; you can easily pass if you study perfectly.
Other: We just share our best moments at KIST. Thanks to the college.

The college has good facilities and placements.
Placements: 90% of students got placed in KIST College. In mechanical engineering, almost all the students got placements. Tata Motors, Mahindra, Hero, Maruti Suzuki, etc., came here to recruit students. The average package offered is 2 to 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good, neat and clean. Canteen facilities are good. Sports facilities are available in college. The classrooms have Wi-Fi facilities and projectors. The college library is always open, and you can go there any time and study.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. During semester exams, they are always helpful. Teachers will clear your doubts at anytime you go to them. Semester exams are easy to score good marks. 80% is the first rank, 70% is second rank, and 60% is third rank here.
Other: Fests and many extracurricular activities are conducted here.

It is bad for placements and infrastructure, and it has poor facilities.
Placements: All the companies are of poor level. If you get placed from college, you have to pay your salary of 2 months in advance to KIST. The highest salary offered in placements is 16,000 per month. They don't provide internships as no company visited here for that. If you request them, they will bring 2-3 companies for campus placements. Mostly, they will take you to other colleges for placements.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good. The library is good for studies. Wi-Fi is available, but it doesn't work properly. Hostel rooms have attached bathrooms. They say that they clean bathrooms every week, but they will clean after 1-2 months if you request them. The hostel is on campus. It has a small cafeteria. No shop is available nearby. The food quality in the canteen is bad.
Faculty: The teaching quality is not good. There are only a few teachers. Some teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. They will not make you industry-ready. They are very strict during exams. 3-4 CCTV cameras and 3-4 guards are available in the exam hall. They are very strict. Even if you move your head, they can cancel your exam.
Other: The campus placements are poor, please don't take admission in this college. There are no fests.

Faculty members of our college are very helpful. Our campus is wonderful.
Placements: Placement opportunities in our college were very good. Almost 70% of the students got placed in companies like Byju's and Tata, and other companies also visited our college to hire students. The highest salary package offered here was 4.25 LPA. Most of the students did not get placed because of a lack of knowledge.
Infrastructure: Our college is huge as it is spread around 8 acres of land. Our college has all the facilities like a canteen, sports and a library where thousands of books are available for students. There is a gymnasium for a healthy life for students. The most important thing in our college is greenery.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and highly educated. Most of the teachers from IITs visited here for weekly classes. All kinds of lab materials are available for practicals, which are very helpful for students to gain knowledge about industry which will be very helpful for their entire life.
Other: Mechanical is the main branch of engineering and is an evergreen branch. So, I chose it. Practical knowledge must be provided for students to learn or understand about the industry. Every year a fest will be organised by 4th-year students, which is very enjoyable. It is the most memorable part of campus life.

College has been nice but needs improvement in many ways, let it be labs activities or even sports.
Placements: Placement has been quite less, for the course placement was merely 15-20% with not a handsome package, averaging around 15-20k. Not much core companies came, some other stream companies were in campaign regarding IT and customer service. From the course there was no such internship programme.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was built proper but lacked much facilities, classrooms were normal. Labs needed more advancement and equipments. Basic things were only present but needed an upgrade. Hostel can't hold much strength, food was okay accordingly. Sports and games need to focused.
Faculty: Faculty were supporting, knowledgeable, qualified. Course was carried out accordingly. Teaching quality was nice but later there were change in teaching staff with new persons. Course were relevant and upto syllabus, for industry ready there it lacked a bit.
Other: I chooses this course as from beginning I was interested in it, course was carried out properly. For further improvement practical workshops must be focused more rather than covering syllabus. Campus crowd was nice but later decreased, surrounding was peaceful out of City, fest was entertaining. For extra curricular activities management support needs to be more.

The present status of KIST college.
Placements: The placement facility is poor of Mechanical and Civil engineering student. Only Computer Science and Electrical engineering students placement take place. Out of 120 students only 15 students take placements. Same things for my senior batch. Only 10 percent students were placed. The highest package was Rs 25000 per month and the lowest one was Rs 12000 per month and the average package was Rs 15000. Till now various companies visited to the Campus those are LG, Wipro, Surya, acer, Philips, etc. 60 percent of the students got internship. The highest stipend was Rs 8000 per month and the average was Rs 4000 and the lowest one was nil. Yes there is a placement cell. The placement cell is rarely useful.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is somewhat good but campus road is kachha road. The Wi-Fi facility is provided in the campus and in the hostel. There is a separate classroom for all the branch with student to faculty ratio is 40:1. The machine and equipments are outdated and also the lab assistant are not there. The quality of food in the canteen is very poor due to which various student leave the hostel. Hostel rooms are good with maximum of 3 person in one room. Yes I face infrastructure related issues that is the road inside the campus is kachha road due I felt problem in rainy season. And also drinking water facility is very poor.
Faculty: The teachers are not so helpful because they don't complete the course in time due to which we have to read with itself. Teachers are well qualified but not knowledgeable. And the teaching quality is not so good. The teaching methods used by our college is chalk and duster. The student to faculty ratio is 40:1. No we don't get industry exposure. And finally course curriculum was not so useful because only theory is provided with us and no any practical is provided.
Other: A 3 days fest known as EUTOPIA is held every year in which scholarship is provided to the meritorious students.

Satisfied with the faculty and infrastructure. In 2015, the placements were good.
Placements: The companies are visiting our college for the placements., and they are useful to show our character. It gives us some experience. The minimum placement percentage is 70%. The average salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. Micromax, Kravya, and Surya companies visited the campus. Written test, group discussion, and personal interview are conducted. There is a placement cell.
Infrastructure: There are good facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classroom, library, sports, etc. The quality of classrooms and labs are good. The quality of food is neither good nor bad in the canteen. There are 435 rooms in the hostel. The hostel rooms are good. I haven't faced any infrastructure related issues during my tenure at the college.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The class starts from 9 am to 4 pm including 1 pm to 2 pm break. The teaching methods are good. In the class, the faculty members are friendly with the students. The student to faculty ratio is 30:1. The course curriculum is useful.
Other: The events, fests, etc., all are available on the campus for the students.

Current status of the Konark Institute of Science and Technology.
Placements: Till now, there are no placements for our batch, and there were very few placements in our senior batch. Out of this, the placement was offered only for computer science student. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 1,20,000 per annum and the highest salary was Rs. 3,00,000 per annum. The average salary was Rs. 1,80,000. In my college, the visiting companies were Wipro, IBM, Acer, LG, Surya, etc. Only 15% of the student got the internship from our college. There was no stipend given to the students. If I have to say to rate it, then I would like to give 2 stars.
Infrastructure: Our college is spread over across 34-acres. The Wi-Fi facility is good. Some labs are air-conditioned. Other labs are filled with old and outdated equipment and some of the machines are not found in the lab. The classrooms are good, and some classrooms have a projector. The library facility is from 9 AM to 8 PM, and the books are sufficient. The medical facilities are not good. Only football and cricket are providing to play. The food quality is somewhat good. The hostel rooms are good with Wi-Fi facility, but not air-conditioned. We did not faced any infrastructural related problem during my tenure.
Faculty: The teachers are not helpful because the qualification of the teachers is not from a good institution like IIT or NIT, and the teachers are not knowledgeable, but some are good. Chalk and blackboards are used to teach, and sometimes projectors are also used. The student to faculty ratio is 60:1. Only one chance is given to industry exposure during the whole course period. The course curriculum was somewhat useful.
Other: There is an annual fest for 3 days, and orientation programme is happening.
