Excellent college inside Coimbatore for students who love a green campus with a lot of opportunities

Placements: I chose the Engineering 4-year Information Technology course in Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore. I am currently in the second year, and I will be completing the course by 2028. The placements, as informed by the seniors and staff, were awesome. Almost 80% of students get placed in companies with an average package of ₹4 to 5 LPA, and almost 160 students joined Information Technology in the year 2024. The top recruiting companies for my college as of 2024 are Amazon, Wipro, Accenture, TCS, SAP, Cognizant, etc. Software Developer, Full Stack Developer, Cybersecurity Analyst, Data Analyst, and Cloud Engineer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is the best, with all the requirements and facilities starting from the laboratories for all the departments like Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Data Structure, Embedded Systems, Cloud Computing, Mechanical Labs, and many more. The college also has enough auditoriums and halls, and even two theatres for mass crowd functions and other events. The hostel facilities are good, with enough water and daily cleaning, with three meals and one snack per day. The college has 3 canteen facilities and separate places to sit and eat. It also has a gym and a clinic. The food is vegetarian.

Faculty: All the staff members of the particular department strive to give the students their knowledge and experience. The lab facilities are well used by the staff members, and there are two to three mentors for every department. They will assist you with any queries, and there is a student council called OSA that takes care of the students' mental health and well-being. The semester exams are comparatively easy if the student focuses on the classes. No need to panic. The questions would obviously be easy and well-known to attend.

Other: I chose this course because I was interested in coding and computers, and Kumaraguru was my preferred college due to its placements and infrastructure.

It provides good infrastructure, and decent teachers, but the hostel fee is not good.

Placements: Around 90% of students applied for placements in IT course, and almost 85% of students are placed in at least one employer. The highest salary package offered is around 26 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. The median salary package offered is 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Silicon Labs and Amazon.

Infrastructure: This college is grand and magnificent. It shows that they spared no expense on that part. The admin block where most departments attend their classes looks great from the outside, but the classrooms themselves are mediocre. However, the hostels are not good. The rooms are always dusty and each floor shares a communal washroom that's not properly ventilated. The sewage is uncovered and so the hostels stink most of the time. Contrary to popular belief there is no hostel Wi-Fi.

Faculty: Faculty members are helpful and ready to guide students through any troubles they may face. They teach the technical parts of the course and are truly knowledgeable and experienced in their fields. Most of the curriculum is relevant, except for a few courses like engineering sprints, which are a complete waste of time. The semester exams are easy as long as students pay attention to classes. It does not take much effort thanks to the faculty teaching so, students can use the extra time to work on other skills.

Other: I opted for this course as I have always been interested in computers and wished to learn more about them. The IT staff are knowledgeable and are always ready to help students and improve their domain. There is always an event at least once a week conducted by some department of this college offering small cash prizes.

I am impressed by infrastructure, but the quality of teaching could be improved in future.

Placements: About 55% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 29 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA and the average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Amazon, SAP Labs, CTS and TCS. The top role offered in our course is an associate software engineer. About 30% of the students got internships in CTS, Amazon, Heptagon and Accenture.

Infrastructure: Our college provides labs, Wi-Fi facility, library, iCube, classrooms and online courses. In the hostel, the food served is average, and there are average medical facilities and good quality sports. The hostel facility is partitioned according to the department wise, and one room is allotted for 4 students. Classrooms are equipped with projectors for smart classes.

Faculty: Teachers here are not much helpful, and the books will not be provided. Students have to study most of the topics on their own. The course curriculum is good and has a good impact on the industry level. Some teachers will be good, but most will not be helpful. The elective will be chosen by the student and not by staff members.

Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in it. The best things about our course are infrastructure and facilities. I wish that our college should improve teaching and class hours. Our college organises a huge event named Yugam in Coimbatore. Many companies will visit our college for campus recruitment. Scholarships are offered for top performers of the year.

Satisfied with the infrastructure and faculty members.

Placements: Placements are 100% guaranteed. While this year there were very few companies came for placements. Now japanese companies are coming to take us into japanese software firms. Hope it will improve. We cannot expect intern through college we must improve on our own skills.

Infrastructure: Infrastructures are good. There are plenty of opportunities to improve our skills. Labs are open till midnight which helps us take on our skills to a greater perfection. Green environment provides great peace of mind and focus on our studies with ease.

Faculty: Faculty members are great and help us with their higher potential inorder to tune up students towards their goal and achieve it with great success. Curriculum are good and are taken according with Blooms taxonomy which helps in step by step development of students skills.

The best way to enjoy the college life, with proper placements and importance to our career.

Placements: The placements are good. Core companies like Amazon, Zoho choosing the good and best-talented freshers to the job. Service companies are also good for the placements. About 85% of the students are getting placed every year in both the service and product companies. It is a little bit low for this year when compared to the previous year.

Infrastructure: The best thing to say in the college is the infrastructure. The infrastructure is really awesome by the good structure of classes with neat benches, and a projector is placed in every classroom. The toilets facility is good to use with cleaning for a regular period of time.

Faculty: The faculty in our college are good enough to teach and motivate our career. They take care of our career choices and make way for us, and the curriculum is good. They mainly include the personal values, GhP subject which describes how a person should behave in every situation and meditations.

Other: The best thing is that the cultural fest of our college is very awesome and really good to enjoy. There are lots of events and workshops held that time, and mainly, the importance is given to the sports, NCC, NSS, etc.
