It can not be said that which is the top course offered but since we have the norm that MBBS is the top course I would say that MBBS is the top course only. However, the college has other master level programmes too say MD and MS so they are also top notch but it takes a level to reach there which is to do MBBS first.

• The entrance exams for Undergraduate course NEET. Candidates must qualify for the NEET exam to be eligible.
• Postgraduate courses: Admission is based on the rank obtained in the Tamil Nadu Post Graduate Entrance Examination for 50% of seats, and on the NEET PG score for the remaining 50% of seats. Candidates must qualify for the respective entrance exams to be eligible.
• D.M. and M.Ch. courses: Candidates are selected based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination, work experience, and previous year qualifying performance.

Madras Medical College NEET PG cutoff 2024 was released for Round 3, for MD and MS specialisations. In round 3, the closing ranks varied between 73 and 65279, among the General All India category candidates. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the last round closing ranks varied between 461 and 57623.

A significant number of applicants compete for a limited number of seats in government medical colleges under the All India quota based on NEET exam, making admission extremely competitive.

For General AI category, the cutoffs are substantially higher than the cutoff for other All India quota seats. A considerably higher score—often in the range of 650–700 or more out of 720—is typically needed to be eligible for a place in a government medical college through the All India quota.

A candidate who scores only 2–4 marks above the cutoff is likely to enter a highly competitive zone where their prospects of getting an All India quota seat are unpredictable and dependent on a number of variables, including the distribution of their overall score and the number of seats available.

The number of candidates taking the NEET exam has a direct effect on the cut-off as well. A big candidate pool raises the level of competition and could result in higher cutoffs. The cut-off scores are impacted by the number of seats available in medical colleges.

NTA released the re-revised scorecard on July 26, 2024. In this scorecard, the score has been revised as per the Supreme Court verdict of removing the bonus marks awarded earlier for the controversial Physics question, and deducting one mark from those who marked incorrect answer options. The city and centre-wise result data such as number of candidates appeared and scores obtained, by masking candidates' personal data was released on July 21, as per the Supreme Court order given on the hearing dated July 18, 2024. The NEET 2024 result for the re-exam, which was conducted on June 23, was declared on July 1, day day after the slated date. The final answer keys for the NEET 2024 re-exam was released by June 30, ahead of the result declaration. Earlier, the result of NEET 2024 was declared by NTA on June 4, 2024, 10 days ahead of the original schedule, which was June 14, 2024. NTA released the final NEET answer keys on June 4, prior to the release of the NEET result 2024. The NEET result was declared in an online mode. Candidates have to log in with their registration credentials or application number and date of birth, and download their scorecard in PDF format. NTA also released the merit list containing the name, Roll Number, All India Rank and Percentile of the candidates. Along with the NEET 2024 scorecard, NTA also released the NEET 2024 cutoff marks or the qualifying marks/scores. 

Both the colleges offer B.Pharma programmes but Madras Medical College is the oldest among two and SRM has good state of Art facilities now it's upto the student to chose what is need the history or the facilities both are quite good and have their positives and negatives, but in overall comparision, both come at the same place. It's always a 50/50 situation, the choice is upto the student.
