MET 2024 candidates who score 180 out of 240 are deemed to have an excellent score. Besides, a candidate (General students) must have at least 50% marks in B.Tech to pursue an M.Tech from the Manipal School of Information Science. There is a little bit of relaxation for the reserved category students. 

The entrance exam that is acceoted by SOIS for the M.Tech programme is Manipal Entrance Test (MET). Candidates must make sure to fill out the form for MET as well along the application for the course. Candidates must appear for MET and secure a rank that will land them a seat in the M.Tech programme at SOIS Karnataka. 

There are approximately 650-700 seats available for various courses at the Mnaipal School of Information Science. Note: Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2025 will be a common entrance test for admission to the M.Tech programs offered by Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) and M.E programs offered by Manipal School of Information Sciences (MSIS). The entrance examination will be followed by a online M.Tech / M.E Common Counseling Process for MET rank holders only.

No, three-year undergraduate degrees are not offered by SOIS Karnataka. Only postgraduate M.Tech programme with specialisations in the field of computer applications, programming, and information technology are available at the institute. Interested students can apply to the course by completing the registration form, providing the necessary information, and paying the application fee. The institute is now accepting applications for the 2025 session. 

MSOIS application form is live on the official website of the institute, and interested candidates can fill out the form with accurate details in order to successfully submit the same. MSOIS requires candidates to upload certain relevant documents such as: 

• Class 10 marksheet
• Class 12 marksheet
• Graduation marksheet

Candidates must upload these documents in the correct dimensions as mentioned in the application guidelines. 

The admission process for SOIS Karnataka is entrance based. The step wise admission process is given below: 

step 1: fill out the application form and pay the form fee. 

step 2: appear for the MET or Karnataka PGCET. 

step 3: appear for document verification and pay the course fee.

Candidates can join SOIS without GATE. Admission process for the M.Tech course at SOIS Karnataka is entrance based and candidates are requried to appear for entrance exams such as Karnataka PGCET and MET. Candidates are requried to fill out the application form for these entrance tests seperately. Even though GATE is a widely accepted exam for M.Tech it is not accepted for admission to the talked about institute.
