Stricter than regular government colleges since it has autonomous status, but academics are strong.
Placements: You know how placements are now for non-NITs, IITs, or BITS. The same applies here, but you'll find opportunities since there are active clubs. Many civil students take up IT roles; few stay in core jobs, but faculty were saying civil has better placements. It really depends on how you utilize the facilities.
Infrastructure: The college has well-equipped labs and good facilities. Many sports grounds are available, and the campus is over 65 acres. The hostel is like a dormitory with a common bathroom. The library is also good, but first-year students don't get college hostels, so it’s going to be a little rough in the first year. You guys shouldn't go to Saniya's hostel for girls.
Faculty: Most teachers, many of whom studied there and did higher studies in NITs and IITs, came back to teach. They know what they're doing; they actually teach you, unlike regular government colleges. Also, unlike KTU colleges, you'll get a better curriculum and exams.
Other: The reason I chose this college and course is that I was an AJEE repeater, and going to some tier 3 private college wasn't worth it. The fees here are very affordable.

Quite impressed with faculty, placement opportunities, infrastructure, and campus life.
Placements: I took a B.Tech in civil engineering from this college. The placement statistics for civil engineering are quite low. But if you work hard on it, develop skills, and score a good CGPA, you might get placed with a starting salary of 12 LPA. Recruitment from companies such as L&T, Shobha Construction, etc., are major civil-based top recruiters.
Infrastructure: This college has great infrastructure. The college is around 65 acres of land and contains many new departments such as data science, machine learning, and AI which are high in demand. There is a college library and also each department has separate library facilities. There is Wi-Fi on campus where they provide a limit of 20 GB/week. Classrooms are quite neat. There is a canteen called Ootupura where every meal is provided. It has hostel facilities for both girls and boys. They can accommodate boys but during the 1st year, I found it difficult to find a women's hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are quite knowledgeable. The minimum educational qualification is an M.Tech degree. Most of the teachers have a Ph.D. But since it is a college, we have the responsibility to learn by ourselves. There is no spoon feeding. The college has attained an autonomous position in the academic year of 2024. So we may expect new courses which may add value to the course. I am from a KTU batch, so I don't have much knowledge about the present college. The syllabus and semester exams are conducted by the college.
Other: The college provides good campus life with a technical fest called Takshak and a cultural fest called Sanskriti every year. Many other programs are conducted by the clubs of college like IEDC, ASME, ASCE, NSS, etc. Like everyone says it is not about the place but the people around you. I would suggest having healthy friendships so you can eventually enjoy being in college. It provides freedom for conducting programs. Most programs are coordinated by 3rd and final-year students. So basically campus life depends on how your seniors are actively conducting programs.

Placement was not as good.
Placements: Around 70-80% of students were placed in our course. Some students were placed in jobs that were not relevant to our industry, like BPO jobs, also offered in the name of Business Development Associate. Top recruiting companies were Larsen & Toubro, Reliance, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course are good. The library is available. Labs are well-equipped with the required instruments and machinery. The hostel facility is also good; all essential facilities like clean washrooms and fresh drinking water are available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of our faculty members is frequently good. Some professors were rude. The college provides industry exposure for industry-ready jobs. Semester examinations were of a moderate level. Almost all students passed.

Life at M.A. College of Engineering.
Placements: The college has good placement opportunities. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Qburst, L&T, MRF, and South Indian Bank come here for placement. Students with decent CGPA and no backlogs can get placements. Placement opportunities are greater for IT students compared with branches like civil, mech, etc. Also, students have to pay a fee to the placement cell based on the salary package.
Infrastructure: The campus spans around 62 acres of land. There are well-equipped classrooms, labs, and workshops for every department. There is a central library with lots of books for reference and a calm atmosphere for studying. There are also department libraries. There is an open-air auditorium for conducting events during festivals, celebrations, etc. There are also air-conditioned seminar halls for conducting formal events. Good hostel and canteen facilities are available for students.
Faculty: The college has experienced faculty who help students with the curriculum. The college follows KTU, and KTU also conducts the semester exams. However, the college handles the internal exams. There are also excellent library and lab facilities. In the final year, students have to do a seminar and a group project and submit the report along with a presentation, which will be guided by the teachers.
Other: The college is listed among the top ten engineering colleges in Kerala. Since it is a government-aided college, the fees are also affordable. To say about the campus, is environmentally friendly with lots of trees and greenery. The arts, like dance and music, are good. Also, the technical clubs like IEEE, SAE, etc. This college are some of the best ones under KTU. There are two annual festivals conducted at the college named Sanskriti.

Really good infrastructure and faculty members are also helpful.
Placements: Sometimes in some companies, about 12 or more students get placed from two batches, and that too those who are eligible. The highest package offered in my college was 12 LPA in my branch by Sobha company, but the thing is that the selection was only among boys, and girls can't participate in that one. That was the company's rules as they were selecting for site engineers. About 50,000 per month is the salary provided by L&T. Aarbee provides about 21,000 per month. L&T, Sobha, and Aarbee are among the top recruiting companies for my course. As I am from civil engineering, I think the recruitment that takes place is much lower in every college compared to other branches. About internships, students have done a minimum of 2 to 3, at least for about 15-20 days. The mainly offered role is of site engineering.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and a library are available, and we have a department library and a central library. The infrastructure is also good, very neat and clean. We are provided with all the equipment in the lab. We have washing machines and Wi-Fi available at the hostel too. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is also okay.
Faculty: The teachers are always helpful, but the only thing is that there is not enough time to teach all the things, and they will be finishing the last chapters in a hurry, but it's not their mistake as the university doesn't allow that much time. The semester exams are sometimes average or above average; it's for us to study hard anyway. I think we can answer that.
Other: Every faculty here will be ready to support you in any case, and they are friendly too. There will be a tech fest taking place in odd semesters and an arts fest taking place in even semesters. The tech fest is Takshak, and the arts fest is called Sanskriti. The fees may change as per the hostel. The tuition fee is paid to the university. The total count I wrote below includes only the fees we generally need to pay to the college at the starting. Hostel fees will be paid monthly.
