Absolutely satisfied with MDI Gurgaon.
Placements: The final Placements for PGP-IM happen together with PGPM. One can view the Placements report on the MDI's website. Placement statistics for the year 2016-2018 were: the highest Package: 24.45 Lacs INR Average Package: 18.54 Lacs INR Median Package: 17.89 Lacs INR.
Infrastructure: The college is equipped with free Wi-Fi and it gives 24 hrs Library access to students. The quality of labs is good and the sports facilities are well managed. I did not face any infrastructure related issue though one may find the hostels to be a bit old. The new hostels are under construction and should be complete by the next year.
Faculty: The professors are very helpful. You may get in touch with any of them for any of your doubts. They are knowledgeable with most of them from premier institutes. The course curriculum for PGP-IM programme was designed in order to give an international exposure to students. It has been made sure that the students get the best of both worlds.

MDI - The best two years of my life.
Placements: Overall, placements at MDI for the class of 2015 were excellent. Speaking of IM course, the placements began well in the laterals. As usual, the IM folks were the first to sign out (owing to the less number of students in the program). The IM students were placed in a wide array of roles such as consulting, general management, finance, sales & marketing. The average salary was close to 15 LPA. IM guys pursue their internships from July to November (min required is 3 months). Half the students did their Internships in Europe whereas the rest chose to come back to India for their internships. For internships, the placement committee doesn't provide any assistance.
Infrastructure: MDI has an amazing campus. It is spread across almost 40 acres in Gurgaon. The classrooms were fully air conditioned and the library was pretty good as well. I think MDI is the only business school in India to have its own golf course. The hostel rooms were decent. We had multiple hostels and Kshitij was the best among all. The mess food was decent, though we had quite a few good canteens and a couple of dedicated night canteens.
Faculty: The faculty team at MDI was really good. We had professors from various top business schools and industry veterans. The focus was mainly on the case study based approach. The curriculum was well-designed and suited to the industry standards. We had guest professors visiting from the Industry as well. Not to mention, MDI boasts of having Prof Sanjay Bakshi in the ManDevIan family.

No, there is no management quota seat in MDI and other reputed colleges. You have to prepare for the entrance exam and followed up on the eligibility criteria to take admission to MDI.

Hey, It totally depends on the selection criteria for the admissions in that particular year. Just focus on the preparation for the GDPI WAT round and you might actually make it through.
