Miranda House fest Tempest is one of the most tempting fests of DU.

Placements: If one wants to study at Miranda House, I think they should make Political Science their priority. The reason for that is placements, as placements for Political Science are definitely the best at Miranda House. NITI Aayog has regularly recruited Political Science students from our college.

Infrastructure: Out of all the girls' colleges of DU, Miranda House definitely has the best infrastructure. There are air-conditioned classes, a library, and a computer centre. For shade, we don't have to worry, as there's a hut built in the middle of the lawn. A girls' hostel is available on campus, and with curfew timings of 9 pm, discipline and order are also maintained at the hostel of Miranda House.

Faculty: Our college has three departments in all, which are Science, Arts, and Humanities. I have personally known a lot of faculty members, and with such high-profile degrees, the demeanour that they have is unbelievable. Our course modifications and changes all happen at University level. Our faculty members always upgrade themselves if anything new comes up. Thus, even after having done their PhDs, they are still open to learning.

Other: Market forces always want to tie up with our college as it is one of the most marketable colleges. The ones who have made the college earn this reputation are obviously students. Students' vibe here is something to take note of.

My dream college, for sure.

Placements: Around 12–13% of students are placed in the B.A. programme. The stipend amounts are Rs. 20,000, Rs. 5,000–Rs. 2,000, and Rs. 8,000, respectively. It also varies from placement to placement, but they are really good and help in building CVs. We are almost always given the roles of trainees during our internships.

Infrastructure: Except for the Wi-Fi, which is poor within the college. All the other facilities are excellent, high-quality, and well-maintained. These facilities include a big canteen, a café, a library, and big halls for creative work. The classrooms are also very big. They are perfectly ventilated and air-conditioned.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. They clear any doubts we have and provide practical examples to help us grasp the concepts. They are quite knowledgeable. The course is relevant. It allows students to choose from a variety of combinations and study more than one discipline. The semester exams are not very difficult. It is 40 percent to pass. Students participate in extracurricular activities.

Other: I chose it because I can study 2 disciplines at same time. I can relate them to each other. I believe that almost everything is perfect about my course. The events and fests of Miranda House are really something to look forward to. They are well-planned and fun to attend with your friends.

Dream college also takes time.

Placements: This combination attracts a good number of students because of Political Science. Placement is a bit low. You have to develop skills. But if you are keeping Political Science in mind and want to pursue public policy or become a policy analyst, then good positions can be offered.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is better, but it can be the best if the ACs and Wi-Fi work properly. In some classes, there is a lack of space, or the AC does not work. But the building and greenery are really appreciable. The library could have more books because I don't find the books I need there.

Faculty: A few teachers are not helpful. They are authoritative. They don't interact with students. I find complicated things hard to understand. Some teachers aren't as good. They are supposed to be in one of the best colleges at DU. The curriculum is relevant. But I don't get the concepts behind the assignments. Teachers don't even explain how to do them.

Other: I have a background in humanities. I want to pursue it further. That's why I opted for this course. I wish the crowd were more interactive, but it is not.

Perks of being a Mirandian.

Placements: Many top-tier companies hire students from Miranda House across streams. The placement is amazing. Students have opportunities to get jobs in various roles. The curriculum plays a really important role in this because it makes students industry-ready.

Infrastructure: The campus is very beautiful, clean, and green. Many of the classrooms are equipped with ACs. The library is also amazing. It has almost all the important resources and books available. The food in the canteen is also of very good quality and is affordable.

Faculty: Faculty is amazing. Professors are really intelligent, knowledgeable, and helpful. Apart from studies, they are always ready to guide the students. The curriculum is also quite relevant to the real world. The resources provided by professors are also really good.

Placements: Placement support in my course is quite good. 26.2% of the B.A. Program students got placed in 2023. Deloitte, ICICI, EY, KPMG, Amazon, Google, Barclays, and Teach For India, among others, are recruiters. There are a lot of internship opportunities as well. Most of the students are placed in companies and organizations like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Google, Amazon, Urban Company, and various other social and policy think tanks. The most common roles that students get placed in are researcher, consultant, analyst, policy, content, operations, and social impact.

Infrastructure: It has good classroom facilities and libraries for the B.A. A poor Wi-Fi connection and a good academic environment are also present. The hostel is well maintained. Mess and canteen food are hygienic. Medical facilities are also available. Sports complexes and indoor games are also present. This makes campus life for students balanced and friendly.

Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The curriculum is academically strong and useful for higher studies, research, and competitive exams. It has a more theoretical than industry-oriented approach. Semester exams are mostly moderate. They can be cleared by most of the students with ease.

Other: I have chosen this course because it has a good mix of analytical and social aspects and prepares you for civil services, research, and higher studies. The college has an excellent academic environment, friendly vibes, great faculty, various seminars, cultural activities, and college fests, making the campus life lively. The college campus is well integrated. There is a huge diversity of students and extracurricular activities.

It's an excellent place.

Placements: About 5.63% of students are placed in the B.A. program in Political Science and Sociology. The highest package is 24 LPA. The average package is 9 LPA. The median package is 8.8 LPA. The course curriculum is very relevant. It helps us gain a deeper understanding of our subjects. Semester exams are tough and require preparation well in advance. The passing percentage for each semester exam is 40%.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest. The best thing about my course is the knowledge it provides about politics and the public sector. The fests are the best. The campus location in the centre of North Campus makes it even more outstanding.

You will get a different glow after being a Mirandian. Come to Miranda House.

Placements: 20-25% of the total graduating class opts for campus placement. For the students of the B.A. Program, the highest package is 24 LPA. The lowest package is 4.5 LPA. Companies include McKinsey & Company. EY and Deloitte are included. Top roles are Analyst, Associate, Consultant, and Trainee.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college are great. The infrastructure, electricity, everything is nice, except the fact that the Wi-Fi doesn't work well. Being a day scholar, I can't say anything about hostel food, but the quality of canteen food is average, to be honest. Medical facilities take a lot of time.

Faculty: Teachers in Miranda House are really helpful, highly qualified, and extremely knowledgeable. The course curriculum is good and student-oriented. It takes hard work to crack into Miranda. The passing percentage is 60 percent, I guess. Everything is nice.

Other: Miranda is heaven.

A great choice: Miranda House.

Placements: I do not have much knowledge about placements here. But from what I have seen, it seems legit and good, as there is a placement cell made especially for good placements. They conduct many talk sessions with professionals from as many fields as there are. This helps us freshers in finding our path. We also come to know how to make good use of college to its maximum potential.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are brilliant for all courses, especially the courses that are a branch of Science. There is excellent food in the canteen and it is very affordable too. There are many small food places in and around the campus. I did not get a room in the college hostel. I have heard from my hostel friends that the hostel is very good too. The library is very useful too.

Faculty: The teachers are excellent. They explain in detail, while also not being intimidating to students as all freshers expect professors to be. They are very helpful and create a comfortable atmosphere, where freshers like me don't feel alienated from the college. Curriculum is good too and it may help in making students industry-ready. I have yet to give semester exams, so I am not entirely sure. My seniors have said that papers are made in such a way that any student who has studied properly will pass easily. The teachers are very helpful and explain in detail, which helps freshers like me, who are used to the way of teaching in schools.

Other: Immaculate campus/college life. The atmosphere is so homely. The teachers are helpful, the seniors are supportive, and all students are helpful and ready to work hard. It's just perfect. I do not regret being a Mirandian, at least for now because I have yet to discover and learn much more.
