Nift is amazing I will teach not only in studies but also the quality of life
Placements: 90%students were placed. 9lakhs per annum is minimum highest can vary. Puma, Adidas and all were the top companies. 80% students get internship. This college will make you industry ready that will never let you get in trouble in the Industry. It just that people have to do little hard work here other than that everything is fine
Infrastructure: There are labs and costly machine wifi all over campus library. Mess and hostel is really good. Hostel room wifi is there in hostel. All the facilities are good you will get various things here and this campus will promote all the cultural activities. It feels amazing.
Faculty: Teacher are really helpful. They help in every thing. Curriculum made us ready for industry. It depends on the level of work you do. We often get redos that will make you study more but it will also improve your quality of work . It will make you industry ready

B.Des. in Knitwear Design - Batch of 2026

My experience in NIFT has opened my mind.
Placements: So people who choose the knitwear course in NIFT depend on the rank they've scored and their category, as there is a reserved category besides general. A lot of top recruiting companies come since it's India's top fashion college, like Puma, Nike, Adidas, and more. Almost 85% of students get recruited. The starting roles are mostly designers, as far as I've heard from Nift students I know.
Infrastructure: The college isn't very big; our auditorium is a little smaller compared to other branches, but our college is one of the top three NIFTs that have good placements, equipment, and faculty, which is a great advantage. I don't know much about the hostel, but as far as I've heard, the rooms are small, and you have to share with a roommate that they assign to you. There's a curfew at 9:30, and after the first year, you need to vacate.
Faculty: In my opinion, the faculty is good, and I wish more practical visuals were shown for a better understanding of everything, but it's okay. The courses are very relevant, and we have specializations in sportswear and lingerie wear. Semester exams aren't that difficult, but it's always better to do your work ahead of time, and the pass percentage is 50%.
Other: Nothing more to add, but I liked fashion because I enjoy styling myself in new outfits, which is why I chose NIFT. The only thing I would like to improve is if the faculty were a bit more friendly and understanding sometimes and not partial to their favorites. We have one fest a year called Spectrum, which is fun, and scholarships are provided, as mentioned on the NIFT page itself. Extracurricular activities are also available, and we have clubs where we can choose our favorite subjects.

The best opportunity to enter the fashion industry is through college.
Placements: The placements in college vary from year to year; usually, about 90% of students get placed, but it's not always through college placements. The course offers various understandings of various subjects like production marketing, management, merchandising, and much more. You get to learn the back end of the fashion industry.
Infrastructure: The hostel is like any other hostel you'll find in college, although the infrastructure isn't very good and seems old. The rooms are kept clean and cleaned regularly as well. You have to share with 3 or four people, depending on what room you get. Obviously, it's a different experience when it comes to having fun with your friends.
Faculty: We have three exams each semester. Assignment 1-30 marks Assignment 2 is for 30 marks and our final jury is for 40 marks. This is how the academic calendar works. The exams are highly based on creativity so it's a difficult and different world to navigate Sometimes teachers might like your work, sometimes they might not.
Other: It's a fun campus where you get to meet people from all over the country. It's a mini-India itself. You get to make friends of different ages and understand everyone's unique qualities. The college has two festivals around the year: one is spectrum, which is held on its own campus every even semester, whereas converge is held in the odd semester on different campuses around the country.

Placements: Average companies visit our college to recruit students. The highest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA. Students who score an 8.5 CGPA are eligible for placements.
Infrastructure: Our college provides average facilities. The Wi-Fi facility is not good. Classrooms are old. They provide sports and games facilities. A playground is not available in our college. The college should improve.
Faculty: The jury system in college may not be the best idea as it could negatively impact students with low self-esteem. Jury members claim that their criticisms are for our benefit and future success. Their harsh words can be hurtful and sometimes inappropriate. Therefore, it's important to consider alternative methods of evaluation that do not rely solely on a jury system.

A:
  • Bring all your art supplies from home in order to avoid buying campus stationery. You’ll save thousands.
  • 95% of the time, your professors won’t have time to read your assignments. So, they’ll judge them on how pretty they look. Therefore if you want nice marks, decorate the * outta everything you submit. Actual content doesn’t matter. In fact, I dare you to write the lyrics to gucci gang somewhere in your learning diary and I BET it’ll go unnoticed.
  • Enjoy dressing all cute while you can. The hype will last for a month before you’re overloaded with work :)
  • I know it’s very exciting when you’re working on a design you love and can’t wait to share it with the world. but always wait until AFTER the submission date, because hoes be plaigarizing. Shamelessly plaigarizing.
