The National Institute of Fashion Technology offers a four-year full-time BFTech course at the UG level. Candidates seeking admission to the BFTech course need to appear for an entrance examination comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates of the entrance examination are then required to appear for a Personal Interview (PI) round.

1. SARTHAK:- This scholarship is provided to economically weaker and deserving students whose parent's income come under a specific bracket. If the parents icome is upto 1.5 lacs per annum, then the student get 100 percent scholarship. If the income bracket is 1.5 LPA to 2.5 LPA the scholarship provided is 75 percent, and if the income of the parents ranges between 2.5 LPA to 4 LPA then the students get 50 percent scholarship from the yearly tution fees. 
2. UDAAN:- This scholarship is provided to the students who want to continue their studies from foreign Institutes. The scholarship is provided only to meritorious students.

BDes at NIFT Patna is offered in four different specialisations and they are, Accessories Design, Fashion Communication, Fashion Design and Textile Design. The duration of the course is four years and admission to NIFT Patna BDes is done through the NIFT Entrance exam.NIFT Entrance Exam is divided into three parts i.e. Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test/ Group Discussion, and Personal Interview (GD and PI) round. Candidates planning to pursue BDes are required to appear for CAT and GAT exams followed by the Situation Test.

To be eligible for NIFT Patna BDes, candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board and his/ her age should be less than 24 years as of 1st Aug of the year of admission.

56 marks may not be sufficient to take admission for BDes at National Institute of fashion technology Patna. Although your admission totally depends on the cutoff rank. This year the cutoff rank for BDes ( fashion designing) this year was 1692. The cutoff was not too much high, but 56 marks may not be sufficient. The Round 1 cutoff for NIFT 2025 at NIFT Patna seat allocation has been officially announced for NIFT admissions. The cutoff was established for various categories, encompassing the All India quotas. Among applicants under the General All India quota, the closing ranks for designing specialisations in Round 1 ranged from 396 to 2133.

Of all the offered specialisations, the two most competitive in the initial round were Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M) and B.F.Tech. in Apparel Production. MFM recorded the lowest closing rank, rendering it the most preferred choice among candidates. Yes, the National Institute of Fashion Technology will allow candidates with late fees. The late fee application window will open once the deadline to fill out the NIFT 2024 application form with regular fee closes. The start and last date to fill out the NIFT 2024 application form with late fee will be notified by the institute before the regular application form closes or sometime thereabout. The late fee for NIFT 2024 will be INR 5,000. The late fee has to be paid in addition to the application fee, which is INR 3000 for open category candidates.
