• Candidates with a regular Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in the Architecture / Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Construction Technology / Planning / Urban Design / Masters Degree in Geomatics / Geo-informatics / Geographical Information System / Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Geography, Economics or Sociology from a recognised Institution / University are eligible. Candidates seeking admission are required to have secured minimum 50% aggregate (45% for the candidates from reserved category) at graduation level. Furthermore, the final year students are also eligible to apply for course. However, such candidates must have completed (passed) their Graduation before the commencement of programme.

The detailed selection criteria is explain below:

• Admission criteria for Master of Planning (Urban Planning) include performance in NICMAR PG-NCAT + GD + PI as per the standard admission procedure. This is to note that, GATE qualification will be preferred but not compulsory for admission 2024.

The university admit candidates to its BTech in Civil Engineering course on entrance score basis. Aspirants who have passed Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates) can apply. NICMAR application form can be filled out in online mode. For the offline applications, candidates can contact the admission office. The selection is done based on scores in the NICMAR Common Admission Test (UG-NCAT). Candidates can also apply with a valid score of JEE/MH CET/ PERA/CUET/Other states CET. Shortlisted students are also called for the personal interview round. 

Yes, NICMAR University Pune offers four-year long BTech programme. The Engineering course is offered in Civil Engineering specialisation. Candidates seeking admission shall ensure that they meet the prescribed eligibility requirements. Moreover, the selection is done based on entrance scores. The application form can be filled out online. To know about the offline application, candidates shall get in touch with the admission office of the university. 

The university has reserved seats for candidates belonging to SC/ST/EWS and other such categories. About 40% of the total seat intake is reserved for the domicile of Maharashtra state. National Testing Agency NTA has released the syllabus of JEE Main 2026 on the official website. Students can download the current JEE Main syllabus PDF from Shiksha page or from the JEE Main official page to start their preparation. It is advised that students prepare for the exam strictly as per the syllabus and do not leave any topic to prepare for the exam.

At NICMAR university, only one branch of BTech is available for the students to pursue, which is BTech in civil engineering. The total fees of doing this 4 year UG course is 12,10,000/- . Civil engineering feild provides various career opportunities for the students.
