The GATE 2025 registration process with late fee is closed now for admission to the MTech course. The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.
A few more updates are given below:
- The IIT JAM 2025 online registration process for admission to the MSc course is open, and the last date to apply has been extended to Oct 18, 2024. The IIT JAM 2025 exam is scheduled for Feb 2, 2025.
- The MAT 2024 registration process for the December session is open for the CBT Phase 1 exam, and the last date is Nov 30, 2024. For PBT and CBT Phase 2 exams, the registration ends on Dec 7 and Dec 15, 2024, respectively. Further, MAT 2024 CBT Phase 1, PBT, and CBT Phase 2 exams will be scheduled on Dec 7, Dec 14, and Dec 22, 2024, respectively.
- The CAT 2024 registration process is over for admission to the MBA/PGDM courses. The CAT 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on Nov 24, 2024.
- NIMCET 2024 Special Round seat allotment result for the vacant seats of MCA course has been declared. On the official website, candidates can log in and check their seat allotment status.
- The CMAT 2025 registration process for admission to the MBA/PGDM and MMS courses will commence in Feb 2025.

NIT Calicut Fee Structure
NIT Calicut fee structure is a combination of a number of components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee, medical insurance, mess and other security deposits, etc. Out of all the fee components, there are a few components that are charged one-time by NIT Calicut, however, some are to be paid semester-wise or annually, such as the tuition fees. The NIT Calicut fees amount further is different depending upon the course or specialisation selected by the students. Nit calicut is in Top five NITs. And the college had a good culture in tech and coding
Placements: About 70 percent of students got placed in last year. Mostly it is based in CGPA. Average package offered by the companies is near 8 LPA. Construction companies like L&T, Tata are some of the Top recruiting companies. Campus internships are there. It is also based on cgpa criteria.
Infrastructure: Hostel facility is good in NITC. They provide wifi, reading room, computer room for academic works, TV rooms and common rooms for entertaining. They provide decent food for north and south students. NIT Calicut is equipped with modern classrooms, most of which are multimedia-enabled, allowing for a conducive learning environment. The labs are well-maintained, especially in the engineering and science departments, featuring up-to-date technology and equipment. This supports both theoretical learning and hands-on experiments, ensuring students get a balance of both.
Faculty: Faculties are qualified PHD from IITs or abroad and they are well trained. Course curriculum is little tough compared to other deemed universities. Exams are conducted with intermediate level. A holistic review of any institution's faculty, curriculum, and exams must emphasize the need for qualified and engaging instructors, a dynamic and relevant curriculum, and fair and diverse assessment methods that reflect students' learning. Continuous improvement in these areas helps create a more enriching academic environment.

Review of NIT Calicut - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: I am studying computer science and engineering in this college, and last year almost 100 percent of people got placed in CSE, and last year the highest package was 54 LPA, and the average was 12 LPA. Top companies like Google, Microsoft, and Tata are the top recruiters here.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good and well maintained, and there is a very large library and almost every book is available. The hostel is also well maintained, and in every room wi-fi is available. Medical and sports facilities are all available, and the place is full of greenery, and you can take a walk for peace of mind.
Faculty: The quality of teaching in faculties provides you with good knowledge about your studies, and the curriculum is nicely planned and timely managed, and exam difficulty is based on your studies. If you studied well enough, then you can pass easily. The teaching of the faculty here is very good and understandable.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a software engineer, and here every asset is available to study hard and fulfill your dream, and this college celebrates every festival, and the college also celebrates South India's biggest technical festival called Thathva.

Review of my college #Nitc.
Placements: 50% of students are from their home state, and 50% are from other states. The highest package is INR 40 lakhs, and the average package is INR 5 lakhs. The top companies are Oracle, etc.
70% of students are placed in internships.
In my course, many core jobs will come from the petroleum and paper industries.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are available, like Wi-Fi; labs and classrooms are available; and the library is available 24/7. The hostel facility is average. Food is not that good in a mess. Rooms are very small; in the first year, we used to accommodate five people in one room. And medical facilities are there but not that good. Sports and games are okay.
Faculty: Here at our college, we are ranked 5th in the NIRF ranking for teaching. Teachers are well knowledgeable and they are PhDs, so their overall teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is not that helpful in engineering life. Yes, the semester exams are very difficult at our college. And here the pass mark is decided by the toppers papers and average mark; not a specific mark is there for pass.
Other: For my JEE Main rank, I got this chemical engineering so I opted for it. Many intentions and teachers are good and facilities are good. They introduce the correct and useful curriculum. Here, fests are not as good as expected. Sometimes college is canceling our fests too and postponing their dates.

Good placements in 2023 and nice infrastructure.
Placements: I am pursuing computer science in B.Tech. at this college, and 100 percent of CSE students get placed. The highest package I know was 53 lakhs and lowest was 6 lakhs and the top recruitment company were Google, Microsoft, etc. The internships are a bit less compared to placements. Paytm and Ola offered internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. They provide libraries and computer centers for surfing the internet, and everyone can have access to Wi-Fi, and it is well high speed. There are a lot of classrooms for students, and every class has at most 50 students. Coming to hostels, the hostels are best at giving Wi-Fi for every room, and the quality of food is a bit average but good compared to outside food. Medical facilities are worst here. Sports and games are well maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable but some are well efficient in teaching and others are not that efficient. The way of teaching is different from each other. Yes, the course is relevant to the curriculum. Yes, the students can be ready for industrial activities. The pass percentage is above 90 percent, and time is given between exams.
Other: I chose this course because my aim was to become a software engineer from childhood itself. The course is a bit tough for students of our level; it shall be made a little bit easier. Events and fests are a lot good on campus in South India. The biggest tech fest is hosted here called Tatha.

Really beautiful college.
Placements: Nearly 60% of students are placed in our college in different companies like Infosys, Matrimony, Tata, Uber, etc. The lowest package is 8 LPA, the average package is 24 LPA, and the highest package is 64 LPA. Top roles are offered to employees in these companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very beautiful, and the greenery is also stunning. Our classes are smart classrooms, fully functional with Wi-Fi. Our hostel also has good infrastructure and facilities, with Wi-Fi and good food quality. There is a big ground for sports to play various games.
Faculty: Our faculty is knowledgeable, with many holding Ph.D. and Doctorate certificates. They teach us very well. Our curriculum is advanced, allowing us to do anything with it. Exams in our college are moderate, and the pass percentage is 98%.
