The campus of the National Institute of Technology Calicut is located about 22 kilometres to the northeast of Calicut (Kozhikode) city. NIT Calicut covers an area of around 120 hectares. The campus is green, and the ambience is very enjoyable. It is a residential campus, with all amenities available on and around the campus. The students live in hostels on campus. There are, at present, 13 hostels on the campus, out of which 10 are for boys and 3 for girls. Messes operated by outsourcing are available in all hostels.

- Library
The central library has the collection of over 1.55 lakhs of books, 193 national and international journals and other resources cater to the knowledge. The central library also houses the NALANDA Digital Library, which has over 4690 online journals, 2117 e-books, 31674 e-databases, 9994 conference proceedings and about 2132 ETDs/ CBTs, etc. NALANDA is one of the earliest digital libraries in the country.
- Hostel
The institute has different hostels starting from 1st-year students to final year students and for international students also. All the hostels have Common room and Recreational center where newspapers, magazines, TV’s and indoor sports/games facilities are available.Free 24 hour internet and computational facilities are available in almost all hostels.

NIT Calicut has 13 hostels on the campus, out of which 10 are for boys and 3 for girls. These include two mega hostels for boys and a 500-seat mega hostel for ladies. Messes operated by outsourcing are available in all hostels. Hostel administration is through the Chief Warden and the Council of Wardens, appointed by the Director. The Hostel and Mess Committee, with student members, manages the hostels and mess halls.
