NIT Calicut PhD Eligibility & Highlights 2024
National Institute of Technology, Calicut PhD course is a three-year course that is offered in both full-time and part-time modes. The institute also offers a Direct PhD course in Engineering. National Institute of Technology, Calicut PhD admissions are entrance-based where candidates are required to appear for either the GATE, CSIR NET, UGC NET, JEST, NBHM and KSCSTE entrance exam, depending on the chosen course.
After the exam, the candidates are required to appear for the written test and interview round conducted by NIT Calicut in the admission process. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria tabulated below can apply for NIT, Calicut PhD admissions:

NIT Calicut admissions are entirely entrance-based for all its UG & PG courses. Candidates are shortlisted based on their past academic records along with their scores in the respective entrance exams accepted for different courses. Further, the institute also conducts GD and PI rounds for the final selection. Eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the respective entrance exams. However, for MBA, candidates must apply on the official website of NIT Calicut.
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate (6.0 out of 10 CGPA) for SC and ST categories) is the basic eligibility required to get admission to MBA at NITC. The aspirants shall further have a minimum of three-year work experience. Furthermore, all the documents such as bachelor’s degree, mark sheets, etc. are required at the time of admission for verification purposes.

However, it is mandatory for candidates to have met the basic eligibility, i.e. a master's degree in a relevant discipline and a valid score in the entrance exams accepted by the institute.
