- The CSAB Special Counselling 2025 Round 3 has concluded with the announcement of the seat allotment results for admission to BE/BTech courses.
- The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech courses will be conducted on Feb 7, Feb 8, Feb 14, and Feb 15, 2026.
- The JEE Main registration 2026 is now open for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses. The registration deadline for session 1 is Nov 27, 2025, and the exam will tentatively be conducted between Jan 21 and Jan 30, 2026.

Yes, NIT Delhi offers seat reservations in BTech course for Delhi state quota or home state quota. The institute reserves 50% of seats for candidates from Delhi (Home State quota). No, admission to NIT Delhi for BTech and other courses is subject to a valid score in JEE Main followed by JoSAA Counselling and GATE. For seats that stay vacant after JoSAA counselling get finished, admission is provided via CSAB Counselling. Additionally, to be eligible for BTech, students must have completed their Class 12 in valid subjects with a minimum of 75% aggregate (General category). For NIT Delhi M.Tech admissions, GATE scores are a must. For candidates who wish to apply for the course through the centralised d CCMT (Centralized Counseling for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan.) process., NIT Delhi follows the rules and regulations of the CCMT admission process that requires a valid score in the GATE entrance examination for admission in regular M.Tech PG programme.
However, in some instances, NIT Delhi does accept candidates without a valid score in the GATE examination. But this admission procedure can be done if some seats are vacant after GATE -based admissions, some of the vacant seats can be offered to sponsored or part-time students. It must be noted, that to secure these vacant seats at NIT Delhi requires candidates to fulfil certain eligibility criteria i.e., candidates must have a certain period of work experience, a recommendation letter, certain scores in graduation, and might need to qualify for an interview conducted by the institute.
JEE Main is conducted in two sessions each year, with session 2 usually held in April. For the current cycle, NTA had announced the JEE Main Session 2 exam dates, and the exams for Paper 1 (BTech) were conducted on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8. The registration for session 2 is now closed. Now, prospective candidates should wait for the announcement of JEE Mains dates for the academic batch of 2026.
