The selection process for the BTech course at NIT Delhi depends on the scores achieved by applicants in JEE Mains scores followed by JoSAA counselling. Initially, the minimum eligibility criteria required by the institute is candidate' must qualify for their Class 12 from Science stream with a minimum aggregate of 75%. The institute does not specify the minimum score required to get admission to UG engineering courses, the required score can vary each year depending on competition, seat availability, and the category of the candidate. MTech CSE highest and average package recorded in 2025 was 10 LPA and 7.07 LPA. 19 students were placed out of 25 eligible students. In MTech CSE Analytics, highest and average package received in 2025 was 14.07 LPA and 8.78 LPA. Out of 30 eligible students, 21 students were placed.

NIT Delhi JEE Main cutoff 2025 has been released for all rounds. The cutoff was released for candidates belonging to the All India and Home State quota for BTech course specialisations.
