All about the PESITM Shimoga.

Placements: Placements are very good. The average package offered is 4LPA, the lowest package offered is 3LPA, and the highest package offered is 8LPA. It is average placement campus. The top roles offered are the manager post, and about 90% of students get placements. Top recruiting companies are SAB and Apple.

Infrastructure: A separate hostel for boys and also sharing rooms are available. Girls hostel is also nearer to it, and there is no matter of ragging and all. Wi-Fi is available on campus, and classrooms are also well maintained. A new building is under construction.

Faculty: Faculty is very good and experienced. They are also friendly with everyone. They teach us till everyone of us understands the concept. It makes students ready for the industry. Semester exams are mid level and the pass percentage is the same as other colleges.

Other: I chose Computer Science Engineering here, and I am currently studying in my first year. Events and fests are held here in numerous. A lot of enjoyment and perfect use of resources in every matter.

Review of PES Institute of Technology and Management (PESITM).

Placements: As we had an internship in the 8th sem, in the 7th sem only idea Infinity we gave the interview, and in the 6th sem, we attended Edge Verve. Most of us are selected for different training institutes. I'm only talking about software jobs. We need to put our efforts into campus placements here. Some placement training is also provided by Bizotic.

Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure and facilities but coming to the hostel the food quality is poor. Many times we got insects in price, so with hostel food there should be much improvement. Wi-Fi, labs, library are available and can be used effectively.

Faculty: There are qualified and experienced teachers but we students are not industry-ready as we have only theory and not much practical experience with programming languages. We don't find sem exams as difficult as we can just revise whatever we studied during internals.

Other: The campus is surrounded by greenery. The campus has a good environment.

A College with Good Infrastructure and Average Placement, Ragging Free

Placements: Last year, around 70 students were placed out of 140 students. The minimum package is 2.5 lakh per annum, the average package is 3.6 lakh per annum, and the top package offered is 12 lakh per annum, which is still low. Placements fully depend on your skills; the college provides only moral support and some recommendations. Top recruiting companies include Tech Mahindra and companies like TCS, Tata Elxsi, Pragati Prerana, Accenture, Idea Infinity, Mobirey, and Eton Solutions. Internship availability is also average. Roles like Digital, Distribution, and Testing are offered.

Infrastructure: The hostel rooms and hygiene are okay, but the food is very poor in taste, and some food items are limited in quantity. The taste of snacks provided is also not good. Hostel fees are 64,000, which is not worth the money, and the hostel environment is very strict; you have to take permission to go out of the college campus.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, but teaching is very average, and they only cover the syllabus with no extra classes. Only one week of placement training is provided, and the VTU curriculum is not good. Teachers are somewhat helpless; some are strict about attendance, but most are not.

Other: Fests are conducted.

Good college as per the present industry needs.

Placements: Our PES Institute of Technology and Management, Shimoga, college has good placements. The Career Development Centre (CDC) is there in college for the placement support. The highest package offered is 10 lakhs per annum, as per my knowledge. And the average package offered is 3 to 4 LPA. Overall, 100 percent placements are offered in the college.

Infrastructure: In PES Institute of Technology and Management Shimoga, have good infrastructure, including the latest systems in labs. All classes are digital classes having the projector. Wi-Fi facility is only available for faculties. Also, the library named PRERANA is a good place for study.

Faculty: The PES Institute of Technology and Management is affiliated with VTU Belagavi. All the faculties are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good. There is the CDC that makes the students ready for the industry. Semester exams are done as per the university guidelines.

Other: As an aspiring in software, I chose Computer Science and Engineering. The course is nice. The annual college fest name is " PRERANA". My passout year is 2026. Our batch comes under 2022 of the VTU.

Review of PES Institute of Technology and Management.

Placements: 65-75% of students get placed, and a number of companies visit and give offer letters to students. The average package offered is 3.5 LPA, and the highest is 14 LPA. Some of the students are earning now; the college also gives bizotic training for placements every semester; apart from that, there is the CDC (career development centre), which gives internship and placement opportunities.

Infrastructure: The campus is beautiful; all facilities are good except the food, which is not good and hygienic. It has a digital library, well-equipped labs and classrooms. Apart from engineering, there are other courses offered, like MBA, BCA, B.Sc., BBA, MCA, and many others. All facilities are student-friendly; they support and motivate students.

Faculty: Courses come under VTU, where VTU offers many subjects but 40% of them are not useful; evaluation depends on fate. In PESITM, faculty members are very supportive; they help students achieve their goals; they are student-friendly; they not only support theoretical knowledge, they also train us for placements.

Other: The best thing about BE in AIML is the department of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Here I gained a lot of knowledge, did commercial projects on my own, participated in hackathons, and the college events and fests are popular here.
