RGIPT Admission Process 2025
RGIPT admission 2025 is open now. Admission to RGIPT is based on both entrance exam and merit, depending on the programme. Candidates can apply online on the official website of institute.
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology offers more than 20 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, dual degree, professional and diolpma levels, including BTech, MBA, MTech, PhD, IDD (Diploma + BTech) etc. Also, there is a course available in MBA for working professional. RGIPT accepts scores from various entrance exams, including JEE Main, GATE, and CAT for different courses.
RGIPT Admission 2025: Eligibility & Selection
RGPIT is open for admission to UG, PG and PhD programmes. For admission, candidates are need to meet the eligibility criteria for their desired courses. Eligible candidates can apply for BTech, MTech, MTech (RGIPT-EIB) and MBA and other courses admission.
- For MBA in Energy Transition Management (for working professional) admission, last date of application is June 28, 2025
- Last date to apply for MTech and PhD is June 30, 2025
- Last date to apply for BTech and third round of MBA admission is July 7, 2025.
- For Integrated Diploma and Degree-IDD (Diploma + BTech), last date for submission of online application for 2nd round is June 19, 2025

Steps for RGIPT Admission Process 2025
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology is open for admission to eligible candidates. RGIPT admission process is conducted online for UG, PG, PhD and diploma programmes. Below are the step by step process for RGIPT admission:
Step 1: Application: Candidates must apply online on the official website on RGIPT rgipt.ac.in
Step 2: Selection: A selection list of the shortlisted candidates will be prepared and published on the RGIPT website on the 'Admission Portal'. Selected lists of candidates will be published based on the number of seats intake for the different courses.
- Admission to BTech programme is based on the JEE Advanced / JEE Main
- MTech admission depends on the past academic record, GATE exam, Written Test and Personal Interview
- MBA admission is based on a valid score in CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT and academics. Final selection is done through WAT and PI
Step 3: Admission: Candidates will be required to pay the fee for admission at RGIPT.

- The PwD category students also have to fill the PwD form and Scribe affidavit along with the exam application form. This is necessary for getting scribe facility and PwD facility at the test centre. The CAT application form is same for students from all categories. Those belonging to a particular category (SC/ST/PwD) will be required to mention it in the relevant field of the CAT form.

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology offers two different programmes which are MBA and MBA (Business Analytics) at PG level.
