My life experience in RIEM.

Placements: We have 100% placements, but the problem is we won't get government placements. It will be some private school contact placements. It will have a below-average salary and no use in any type of CV. The placement cell of our college follows a very outdated methodology.

Infrastructure: Good infrastructure and labs are 8/10. Sometimes there won't be chemicals for 3 or 4 weeks, and in the physics lab, half of the apparatus is non-functional. Wi-Fi is available in every building, but the range is poor. Mess food is affordable, but the quality is not maintained.

Faculty: Good faculty; they teach whatever is relevant to the topic. The exam is purely based on what they teach. But the curriculum we have is not enough for any competitive exams. Semester exams are not so difficult; they are moderate. Almost everyone will pass. We don't have any industrial use as it is a teacher training institute.

Good infrastructure and hostel facilities. Good study environment. Best faculty members.

Placements: Hi guys, I am a student of RIE, Mysore, currently in the 2nd year pursuing M.Sc. Ed Mathematics. This is a 6-year course where the first 4 years the syllabus is the same as B.Sc. Ed students, and the last two years are M.Sc. syllabus. As it is governed by NCERT and is a teacher education program, education is compulsory in every semester. It will not only help you in getting a job but also in educational psychology, children psychology, learning styles, etc., which will be helpful to maintain a good sustainable lifestyle. Every year, in the 7th semester, students get an opportunity to do internships in very good schools, mostly in JNVs and KVS. Talking about placements, last year, all the students who sat for interviews got their jobs. The least salary for TGT teachers was 44k per month, and for PGT teachers, it was 55k per month. Some schools provide food and accommodation as well. It is really a good college for pursuing teacher education. But if you are interested in searching for a career in any other field except education, it may not be as helpful compared to IISc, IIT, NIT, etc. But still, you can go for research after pursuing the course. I have seen my seniors doing research during the ongoing courses as well. In the end, RIE, Mysore is far better than any other state government colleges.

Infrastructure: In the college campus and hostel, we get Wi-Fi facility everywhere. The computer labs (3) are equipped with lots of computers for usage by students and teachers for projects. Many skill development programs and additional courses with certification are also held in the ICT Lab. The hostel food is served 3 times a day: Morning breakfast – It is delicious and has a proper menu designed by the contractor. There are 7 different breakfast options for the 7 days of the week. Milk is also provided every day. Lunch – It is completely South Indian style food, which is sometimes not tasty for North Indian people. Dinner – It is very good and healthy, catering to both North and South Indian people. Every 15 days, special food like Gobi Manchurian, ice cream, and fruit salad is served.

Faculty: Faculty members in RIE, Mysore are very experienced, being some of the best teachers in their field. Many of them have also published several research papers. They are very good at understanding the students and are experts in educational psychology. The way of teaching is very nice, and they maintain a two-way communication in class. Most of the classes have projects, which are effectively used by teachers. The whole academic calendar is produced every year in the month of January. However, as it is affiliated with the University of Mysore, the exam timetable comes a little late, usually 10-15 days before the exams. But the starting date of exams is already given in the academic calendar produced in January, so students can get a clear idea of the examination schedule.

Other: The best thing about the college is that it is one of the best colleges for producing the best teachers and researchers. The college may develop further if it gets the dean university approval. Lots of cultural events are held every semester, and as it is an all-India level institute, festivals from various regions are celebrated. The cultural integration is the best part of the college. Except that, there are also lots of clubs that facilitate students to grow.

In 2015, there were good placements here. The average salary offered was Rs. 50,000 per month.

Placements: There are 100% placements in our college. The highest salary package was offered by Delhi Public School in 2016, and it was 25 LPA. Companies do not visit here for placements. They offer only teachers role. We can complete our PG with the UG, and we can save our one year by completing this degree. Our degree is provided by NCERT, and that is the benefit for us so that we could easily get the job in the teaching field.

Infrastructure: More than 75,000 books are available in our library, and more than 150 computers are available in RIE, including hostel computers. Wi-Fi facility is available on the entire campus for 24 hours. Almost 79 classrooms are available in our college. All the facilities are very good. The mess facility is good, and they offer different types of food daily. There is a separate sports room on our campus, and it is very good. Many types of games are available like cricket, badminton, volleyball, etc. The college infrastructure is awesome.

Faculty: All the teachers here are educated as I told you that it is for students who want to become a teacher. Most of the students got placements in foreign countries. Our college teachers are helpful, and they are very friendly to us, that's why we didn't feel any fear in front of teachers.

Other: I have chosen this course for completing my UG with, and it is an integrated course. Along with B.Sc. and M.Sc., we can complete our B.Ed, which is important to become a teacher. We can prepare for other competitive exams like UPSC, PSC, SSC, etc. We get NCERT scholarship which is Rs. 15,000 for 4 months. Many activities are conducted on the campus.

It is good. It is worth it.

Placements: It is super good. The environment, the facility, the infrastructure, and the students, it's completely worth it and it's so good that it provides 3 degrees within 6 years, that is B.Sc., B.Ed., M.Sc. And students of this college are given more priority as it is a reputed college for teachers.

Infrastructure: All kinds of facilities are there, like Wi-Fi, classrooms, labs, library, a playground, and different kinds of sports things, and all are in working condition. In the hostel, also everything is provided, like Wi-Fi, mess, RO drinking water, and CCTV surveillance around the whole campus.

Faculty: The curriculum is the best and the exams conducted are good, and also the course is relevant, which makes students industry-ready. The pass marks out of 50 are 15 marks, and the evaluation is done properly. The exam is easy for those who study well and hard for those who don't.

Other: This course gives me 3 degrees, and the well-maintained campus with good events and fests is conducted.

The college is not that good.

Placements: It is a good college for students who want to become a teacher. In the last year, there were 1 lac offers for the post of vice-principal. It is good for students who want to study other activities, but they should also go for internships to gain practical knowledge.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good, and they provide food. Canteen facilities are not that good, but it is better for us to take hostel food. They serve 7 different types of food on 7 days. It is good for us because students who come from north and west can have south food.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are not good, and the principle doesn't behave well. They behave like a dictator and don't behave properly. They take extra money to improve the college campus, but we haven't seen any changes in college.

Other: I have chosen this course only because of the security in the job of teaching. The total college fee is 1 lac. The hostel fee is Rs. 50,000, and college fee is Rs. 50,000, which is not refundable. If you are not eating hostel food, then it is a waste of money.

Very happy with faculty members and infrastructure.

Placements: In our college, around 80% of students got placed. The highest salary offered in our college is Rs. 75,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 40,000 per month. Butterfly Edu fields and many private schools visited the college for placement. College's agenda is to prepare teachers. The highest salary package offered in our course is 7.5 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA and the average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. In the 4th year, all of us have to go Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya for an internship.

Infrastructure: In our college, there is a library, Wi-Fi facility, computer lab and all labs are well-equipped. There is good quality food. Canteen is also available. For health issues, there is a clinic. We can play any kind of sport here. There is a 24*7 Wi-Fi facility in the hostel, and the library will be open most of the time.

Faculty: In our college, teachers are good. Teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is relevant, and we are prepared to become a teacher. Here education plays a major role. With M.Sc. degree we will get a Bachelor in education degree also. Passed out students of our college have more demand.

Other: I have chosen this course because I like maths. We have experienced maths faculty in our college. There are regional fests, and national festivals celebrated here.

Satisfied with the college atmosphere and faculty.

Placements: I am doing MScEd, and the package I get is around 75k per month from the college campus placement. I did my internship in JNV Malappuram. The schools all across Mysore come for campus placement. If you clear NET CTET, you can even apply for KV NVS, etc. The salary ranges from 35k to 75k.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in hostels. Every year has its own separate labs. The library is well-equipped. Cantern is not proper. There are nine labs for Physics, 6 labs for Chemistry, 2 mathematics labs, 2 ICT labs, 4 botany labs, 4 Zoology labs, and one psychology lab.

Faculty: Teachers are overqualified, and they sometimes complete their syllabus or leave it to us. The exam is a moderate level, you can pass if you read 3 days prior to the exam. The curriculum is somewhat outdated, and it is more focused on an educational perspective, unlike other M.Sc. degrees. The quality of the teacher is 4/5.

Other: I took this course because I wanted to be a teacher. Reduce Hindi dominance on the campus. Fest and all are too regionalistic.
