Review of Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management.
Placements: Top recruiting companies are Google, SAP, Cognizant, etc. Almost 90% of students got placed in this course. The average salary package offered was 5.5 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 40 LPA. Top roles offered are associate software engineer and SRE. Few of them got placed as data engineers. Every eligible student got an internship in a top MNC.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very good. The infrastructure is better. Our campus has good environment for learning and growth. Laboratories are well-equipped. There is a decent library in this college. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled, but the speed is average. Hostel is very good. The food quality is not good. One must follow the timetable for the hostel. The security facility is good in our hostel. Medical facilities are available.
Faculty: It is an autonomous college. The course curriculum is relevant. It includes learning new languages through ability enhancement courses. All professors are M.Tech and Ph.D. scholars. Few of them are strict. They are helpful, expert, and dedicated. They make the learning environment friendly so that we can grasp the concepts effectively. The course curriculum is updated to make students ready for the industry. Industrial visits are also conducted by faculty members. They also provide real exposure and the working culture of the industries in real life. Semester exams are moderate. Our campus life is great.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the software domain. The course provides good exposure to students. Many events are conducted such as Dev-Host, SOSC, etc. Technical fests and hackathons are also conducted after every two to three months. Sports events are also held on our campus. Scholarships are provided to merit students. Our campus is free from ragging.

Overall, it is the best college for engineering life.
Placements: Almost 80% of students are placed. The highest package offered is 15 LPA. Google, Wipro, Capgemini, etc., are the top recruiting companies. The average package is 4 LPA. Most of them are software developers and web designers. Overall, placements are good in our college with decent packages.
Infrastructure: The college provides a sports room, a digital library and normal library. The infrastructure is excellent as it is located on the banks of the Nethravathi. Hostels are also quite good, but lunch is not much as expected. The hostel provides unlimited Wi-Fi with basic facilities.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are PhD holders. The teachers are very friendly, and the teaching quality is good. Semester exams are quite difficult to pass, but it is possible if we manage our time well. The college works on the overall development of students and makes them industry-ready.
Other: Events are held frequently. SSP scholarships are provided for students, and it is a ragging-free campus.

Good infrastructure and good placements.
Placements: Over 200 companies visit the campus every year for recruitment. Some of the highest packages are offered by -Microsoft 40LPA, Adobe 27.7PA, Cohesity 24.5LPA, Amazon 16LPA, Juspay Technologies 12LPA, Acolite software -10LPA. The Average package is 4LPA. 89% of students from information and Science branch were placed (120 students) and the highest offer is Cohesity.90% of students worked as intern in different companies such as Infosys, Jeuogo studio, Robosoft Technologies, Cognizant etc. Roles offered for course were system engineer, technical analyst, software engineer, developer etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in whole campus and classroom and Labs are very well facilitated with modern computers and tools. Library consist of central library and department libraries which supports educational needs of all branches. The library can accommodate 400 students at a time. There are many labs like Aptitude labs, Digital Library etc. The campus also has hostel facility for boys and girls but the food quality is not so good.
Faculty: Teaching is good but its more of self learning. The faculty members are also industry equipped. Since 2021 the campus was under VTU so the curriculum was not relevant (but now the college is autonomous). The department faculty members are categorized into the thrust areas like machine learning, cyber security etc.207-2021 the passing percentage is 87%.
Other: I chose this course as I was interested more in development (coding). There are no much of entertainment events that happens in college and there is different department for scholarship.

Sahyadri has great placement records over the years.
Placements: Above 95% of the students who went for placements got placed. The highest package offered was by Adobe She Codes, of 27.5 LPA. All the top MNCs like Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, etc., came here.
Infrastructure: There are facilities like Wi-Fi, computer labs for research or project development purposes. There is a library with research systems too. There are a sports department, canteen and hostel. The canteen offers veg and non-veg food options, but there aren't many options to choose from.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, and most of my lecturers have a PhD degree. Information science stream is very similar to computer science stream, and the only difference is that we have two different subjects in the 3rd and 4th years. Rest all is the same. For placements, computer science and information science are considered as one (IT background).
Other: We have many science events, technical quizzes and Hackathons. Many intercollege competitions are held in sports and educational fields.

I would rate this college with 7.5 out of 10.
Placements: Placements in our college were pretty good, and placements also depend on the students' calibre and skills. Around 60% of the students were placed in mass recruiting companies. Nearly 20 % of the students were placed in core and product based companies. The rest of the students were placed in marketing, BPO and service-based companies. The highest salary package offered was 13 LPA, and the lowest was 2.4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college has a good library, and the classrooms were decent. Wi-Fi facility wouldn't work usually. The college also has huge cafeterias, nice study areas, and a huge cricket ground. Parking facility is average. The quality of the food offered was okay. However, the prices are high. Classrooms had fans which usually wouldn't work well, and the situation is horrible during Summer.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college were helpful, but some of them were annoying ofcourse. However, the rest of them were kind enough to share knowledge. All were postgraduates, and some were PhD holders. The college doesn't provide any industry exposure. The course curriculum followed during our tenure was useless.
Other: They charge a lot of your money in the name of placement training. I suggest don't opt for any of those training sessions even if they make them mandatory courses to pursue.
