SNVIT Surat BTech admission is based on the entrance exam. Candidates who want admission must first meet the basic criteria for eligibility and then take the entrance exam. SNVIT Surat BTech admissions are based on JEE Main scores, followed by JoSAA counselling. Candidates must secure a 75% or above percentile to get admission to BTech courses offered by SNVIT Surat. The basic eligibility criteria to get admission to SNVIT Surat is to pass Class 12 with a 75% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject.

SVNIT Surat has well-educated faculty. Most of the faculty are PhD and higher degree holders. The institute also arranges guest lectures and workshops, seminars, and various trainings for students. At present, there are more than 100 faculty members and most of them are doctorates.

NIT Surat has 10 hostels for accommodating over 5000 students. Out of these 10 hostels,  7 are allocated for boys and 2 are dedicated to girls. 1 hostel is especially for married scholars. All the hostels have a dining hall and several water coolers, a common room, a reading room, etc. The hostel has 24/7 wifi connectivity. For the safety and security of the students, the hostels are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras that are operational 24/7.

National Institute of Technology is well reputed for MSc in Physics. Strong academic programmes and faculty from various well experience backgrounds make the college popular among studnts. It is a full-time two-year course, intended to cover most of the aspects in Physics ranging from basic concepts to research level.
