Worth studying in Presidency University.
Placements: Around 70% of students got placed. I also got placed. The highest package offered is 12 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package is 3 Lacs per annum, and the average package is 4.5 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are Capgemini, TCS, Schneider Electric, Prestige Group etc. 75% of students got internships from my course, and it is our own choice to choose internship or university projects. Companies for internships are more than 300 companies, and most of them are top MNCs. As Presidency University is autonomous and AICTE board of management accredited, there are many roles in every course. Site engineer is the core and top role offered.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of Presidency University is mind-blowing, and it is much ahead of other technical universities as there are free Wi-Fi, labs with personal mentors, attenders, professors, and classrooms are highly technical with a proper environment to learn. Libraries in the university have separate librarians and books of every branch are available, which are more than sufficient to complete studies. Presidency University has a very tough competition for other universities when it comes to quality of education, hostel with wardens, professors for caring with CCTV cameras, and quality of food in canteens are hygienic and freshly served. There are doctors and nurses everytime in university. There are various sports in the electrical and electronics engineering branch, along with many trainers and coaches. A gym and many indoor and outdoor games are also available.
Faculty: The professors are highly qualified and very experienced in teaching. They are very helpful, and I can rate them 4.8 stars out of 5 when it comes to helping and teaching quality. If we complete electrical engineering, then we have to work in core electrical jobs, but if we enter into the non-core branches like software and IT, then it is not useful. The university makes students industry-ready. There are three stages to pass the semester exams, and they are internals, i.e., test1, test2 and assignments, and externals, i.e., final exams, which makes it easy to divide and learn in internals and externals. Passing is 4 CGPA, i.e., 35%, which is an easy task to score out of 10 CGPA.

Review of Presidency University, Bangalore.
Placements: I am from the 2020 pass out batch. Most of the eligible students got placed this year. Students got placed mostly in IT and marketing companies. Very few core companies visit our college for placements. The placement team is good, and it takes a lot of effort in helping the students to get placed.
Infrastructure: The campus is huge, lush green, beautiful and eco-friendly. Our college provides a great ambience for students. Our college provides a great platform for students to grow both personally and professionally. Our college provides all the facilities needed for a student like a cafeteria, library, CCD, stationery, etc.
Faculty: Faculty members in our department are wonderful and supportive. They help us within and outside the class. The department often conducts forum activities, faculty development programme and other departmental activities, which help the students to enhance domain skills.
Other: Our college also gives equal importance to extracurricular activities. Overall, I had good learning in this college.

The very best thing of our college is the industrial practice. And the infrastructure is fabulous.
Placements: As I know this college was started in 2015 so, there is no chance to placements as seniors are in third year now! As this college is offering industrial practice I. e professional practice (PP-1) for students who completed 2nd year and PP-2 for students who completed 3rd year with good grades. Almost above 80% of our seniors were selected for PP-1. There is no cutoff for internship and almost only students with backlogs were left out. It is very useful to know what the companies need from us as an employee and we get some rough idea about that during internship.
Infrastructure: Our college is Wi-Fi enabled for the faculty members as well as for the students. Labs are very well maintained and every equipment required is available in the labs. Classrooms are the well organised and have fixed projectors. Library is also good. There is a medical room also in our college and we can get first aid or some medicines. Sports is also very encouraged in our college and our college takes part in every sports competition. The canteen is very big and it feels awesome to sit there and the food is good but it is little costly as compared to our old canteen. We have 3 to 4 hostel complex. Nice facilities have been given to the hostel students but it is little strict. I didn't face any infrastructure related issues during tenure at the college.
Faculty: The faculty members are very highly qualified professionals and knowledgeable to teach us and especially they are from Bits Pilani campus. The teaching quality is good. Ppts, videos, images related to particular topic is shown in the class. There is nice interaction between teacher and students.
Other: The college organises fest called MERAKI every year which contains many events and gives a stage to a talented ones.

One of the top electrical and electronics colleges in Bangalore.
Placements: Almost all the students get placed, if he or she is eligible for placement, After the 2nd year, the college will send the students to the companies for the internship, if he or she is eligible for the internship. Last year, there were 137 companies which were located in Bangalore surroundings.
Infrastructure: University has a well-established cafeteria located on the campus providing a wide range of foods including north India and south Indian as well as fast food for the benefit of students and staff. Conference halls are equipped with the latest audio-visual.
Faculty: The department is dedicated to the teaching and research activities in the areas of electrical and electronics, instrumentation and control engineering. The department educates students to take up challenges jobs in a wide range of industries and engage themselves in research and development activities for the good of society.

A perfect place where a student can enjoy learning because of the good faculty and placements.
Placements: We have very good placements for students as seen like there would be an internship after the second year for all the students. It will be for two months and the second internship is for 6 to 8 months after the 3rd year. So we have about 55 to 60 companies for placements. Almost 90 percent of the students get placements. The criteria for placements is student shouldn't carry any backlogs.
Infrastructure: All the classrooms are big enough. We have different blocks for MBA and engineering. We have sports like football, cricket, table tennis. We have a medical room for an emergency. The Wi-Fi facility is given on the campus, and mainly labs are very well-equipped. It's highly secured with many numbers of securities, especially at the parking place. The canteen is hygienic.
Faculty: All the teachers coming for the classes are well-trained. Almost all of them are PhD holders. They use different methods so that none of the students remains backwards in the classes. Assignments, quizzes, class tests are often and often conducted to ensure all students are prepared and updated regarding subjects ratio. For a particular subject, we have about 7 to 8 faculty members.
Other: We have college fests, ethnic day, national social service and awareness programs. Other events are also organised to encourage students. The scholarship is given to merit students, and campus crowd is about 4000. Sports day is organised in the college.

Q:   Is there enough demand for BTech graduates in the job market?
A:

If we look at the market demand, no doubt there is huge demand for BTech (Full Form: Bachelor of Technology) graduates among top recruiters who are constantly looking for skilled and knowledgeable students with fresh ideas to enhance their business growth and profitability.

Having said that, a few previous-year employment reports published by the Business Standard and Times of India suggest that students found it a struggle to land a high-paying job after completing BTech because of a lack of industry-specific skills and knowledge and cut-throat competition between Lacs of engineering students hunting for a job.

Hence, it is very important for students to focus on enhancing their skill set according to industrial demands and technological advancements, stay updated regarding all industry trends, build good networks and, most importantly, take up internships to gain experience and stand out in front of the employer.

Students also asked

Q:   Which is the toughest subject in B.Tech Electrical Engineering course?
A:

The subject that is tough for you might be very easy to study and grasp for your friend, who finds it interesting. For example, you may find Electromagnetic Wave Theory very tough because of the various technicalities and Engineering theory that it deals with. But, for your friend, it might be fun to learn, as it gives them a channel to learn, explore, and experiment with something new.

AskShikshaGPT on App
Q:   What do Electrical Engineering professionals do?
A:

Electrical Engineering professionals are the engineering jack of all trades, as they make use of their knowledge of Physics and Mathematics along with computer programming skills to develop intricate circuit systems. These circuit boards run electrical signals to and from electrical components to accomplish everything from a mundane computer startup to controlling the absolute power and precision of a rocket going out of earth's atmosphere.
