The college's structure and infrastructure attract you more, and the faculty members are friendly.
Placements: NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) has a strong placement record, with around 94% of students placed in 2024. The highest package offered is 47 LPA, and the average is 6.06 LPA, with top branches like CSE and ISE averaging 7-8 LPA. Top recruiters include Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, and Infosys. About 30% of students secured internships, often with stipend of up to 1 lakh per month, at companies like Dell, TCS, and Wipro. Key roles offered are software developer, data scientist, and AI/ML engineer. NMIT is well-regarded for its training support, especially in teach-related branches, and is a solid choice for engineering aspirants in Bangalore.
Infrastructure: NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) offers excellent infrastructure, including smart classrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi campus, and advanced labs for AI, ML, and core engineering fields. The central library is well-equipped with books, journals, and digital resources. Hostels are clean, secure, and provide Wi-Fi, laundry, and recreational areas. The mess serves hygienic South Indian meals, while the canteen offers varied snacks and North Indian options. On-campus medical facilities and emergency care are available. NMIT also has strong sports infrastructure for cricket, football, basketball, and indoor games. Overall, the campus ensures a balanced academic and residential experience for its students.
Faculty: The faculty at NMIT are well-qualified, supportive, and experienced in their respective fields. Most professors hold postgraduate or doctoral degrees and are approachable for academic guidance. The teaching quality is good, with practical learning, projects, and industry-relevant topics included. The curriculum is regularly updated to include emerging technologies like AI, ML, and Data Science, making students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate difficult, focusing on both concepts and application. With proper preparation, they are manageable. The overall pass percentage is high, around 85-90%, as continuous assessment and lab work help students stay engaged and perform well academically throughout the semester.
Other: I chose this course at NMIT for its strong academic foundation, industry-relevant curriculum, and excellent placement opportunities. The best aspects include hands-on labs, exposure to technologies like AI, ML, and IoT, and supportive faculty. The course prepares students well for industry roles. However, more internship opportunities and diverse electives would enhance the learning experience. The campus hosts vibrant fests like Anaadyanta, offers active clubs, and encourages extracurricular activities. The student crowd is friendly and diverse. NMIT is well-connected to the city with a peaceful environment. Scholarships are available for meritorious students, making it a well-rounded experience both academically and socially.

Think before you choose.
Placements: I don't know about the percentage, but most of them got placed. The highest salary package offered is 27 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is around 7 LPA. Placements are also done through Zenken. To get placements, you need to do a lot of projects and stuff. Internships can be done online through many platforms. Our college also provides in-house internships.
Infrastructure: The hostel has 24/7 water. It has a water purifier. There is a canteen which has all kinds of breakfast and meals. It will be closed during the night. Hostels are cleaned every day except Sunday. The mess provided breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. The warden is very strict. There is an outpass system to go for an outing.
Faculty: Faculty and everything are just fine. Honestly, this course won't take you anywhere. All that matters is attendance for these people. They don't care if you understand topics or not. If you want to get placements and stuff, you need to do internships for which they won't give attendance, then improve skills and stuff.

Nmit! Worth or not worth?
Placements: The placements arena is not that great for core branches, but they are really great for IT/Software branches. The packages are decent enough, starting with around 6 LPA up to almost 24 LPA. Top companies include Oracle, and Bosch. The placement percentage is 93%, and the college supports students in every way.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is decent enough. The faculty arena is not that great and experienced. All they usually care about is completing the syllabus. The labs are really well-maintained and nice. The infrastructure is upgraded every year. The canteen food is also decent enough, but the mess food is bad.
Faculty: The teachers do not help students when it comes to any sort of help. Only a handful of teachers are experienced and knowledgeable, while the others just read out PPTs. The exam timetable is very messed up, with a heavy syllabus and absolutely no gaps between exams.
Other: Honestly, the events and club activities are nice, but the students have to beg for attendance.

The college is good for students because it meets industry standards.
Placements: Placements are very good where some of the good companies like PhonePe, Amazon, TCS, and Zenken are recruiting. The highest package would be around 24 LPA, the lowest is around 4-5 LPA, and the average is around 5–6 LPA. The internship has been very good in our college. Every student gets internship and gets lots of support from college faculty.
Infrastructure: One of the best things about NMIT is that the hostel and mess are very good compared to all other colleges in Bangalore, which is great to have. It is a quiet place where noise pollution like noise from vehicles and other things will be negligible.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, supportive and qualified, which helps students in many ways so that they can have a deeper understanding of concepts. They also help with research. It is very oriented toward industry standards, which include some of the important subjects of communication and aptitude, which help in career things. The semester-end exams are quite doable, like we will have some good study holidays to go through about subjects and the question papers will concentrate more on practical knowledge and application-based learning.
Other: I personally wanted to do something in the EEE branch, like go for GOV exams or UPSC, where they will push into more practical things, which helps to understand what the industry wants or what should be prepared. Maybe some easy question paper pattern, like we have compulsory parts where there will be no choice like other colleges do. Anaadyanta is one of the most famous fests in Bangalore .

Overall college campus is well and good.
Placements: The campus hiring is good in our college. Most the companies visited our college since July like Kpit, Bosch, Accenture, Dxc technology, Nutanix. The highest package offered was 18 LPA by Nutanix, rest all offer around 5-6 LPA. The Probability of students getting placed is around 60-70 percent.
Infrastructure: The facilities are fine in our college. The campus is well maintained. We have good Wi-Fi connectivity which helps to our studies also for the projects we will be doing. The labs also have good equipments, systems and kits. There are many hostels in our college to ensure no shortage rooms. The rooms are well maintained in hostels. The food in the canteen is also good however it is light.
Faculty: The faculty members are so knowledgeable and well qualified. They guide us in a proper manner, they are so friendly. The course which I have chosen that is Electronics and communication engineering is completely relevant, helps us to gain a lot of knowledge in this domain. The difficult level of the exams are from moderate to hard. One has to score atleast 40 out 100 to get the passing marks.
Other: I chose this course because had interest in the circuits. Every year techno cultural fest will take place which is Anaadyanta. We will be benefited from Ssp scholarship from Karnataka government.

Faculty is overall good and placements of last year were satisfying.
Placements: 60% students have been placed till now and many of them got internships from 2nd year itself. The highest package offered is 8 LPA, median is 5 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. About 35% students got summer internships last year. Top recruiting companies are KPIT, BOSH, NUTANICS, Amazon, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. Top roles offered are sub engineering, industrial safety Engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, a big library, seminar hall, auditorium, reference room, club house, etc. are available. The infrastructure is very big. The college covers about 23 acers of land and if you walk around the campus you will realize how big it actually is. Facilities in hostel are average with cold and hot water available. Also, Wi-Fi's speed is a bit average. Mess food is okay type but canteen's food is great. Sports and gym facilities are also there and every month, various fests and inter college games happen.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-educated and qualified. This course gives immense knowledge about the circuits and all its parameters. Semester exams are a bit tough but most of the questions come from past year's question papers. 40 is the pass percentage.
Other: I chose this course because I like electronics and mainly the projects regarding electronics. More coding should be taught in this course as it would benefit the placement's point of view. Fest, Anandayata, is the best in overall Bangalore which is conducted in this college. Crowd is great with almost equal ratio of North and South people.

I am satisfied because of its quality education.
Placements: In this college, placements were average. I gave it 4 stars because it brings the companies to campus as it promised. In our batch, only students can observe. Around 80-85% of students were placed on-campus. Rest had tried off-campus and got placed. So for placements, they could have been more transparent that's why I reduced 1 star else everything was in placements.
Infrastructure: In this college, the hostels were excellent. The evening walk and breeze on the campus were just perfect for educational purposes. Wardens were strict and supportive but the reason I gave 3 stars was that there were bugs which were irritating if students inform within a moment they will replace with other cots, 1 more reason to reduce 2 stars was that prices were very expensive for middle-class, they cannot afford. They had to pay the extra fee to mess which was a burden.
Faculty: I would rate 5 starts regarding curriculum and exams because in every semester the syllabus was organised properly. The teachers were very supportive and knowledgeable. Teachers were equally qualified and their experience speaks more. Exams were not that difficult and students need to get a minimum of 20 out of 50 to get a grade, so students were eligible to write exams in makeup.
Other: I opted for this electrical engineering course, because to get a government job. Electrical and civil had more opportunities to work in the government sector. The best about electrical in our college was our laboratories, which were well maintained. Things I wish to improve were that it will be better and more exciting if the concepts go in-depth. Real-life scenarios make education interesting.

I love the campus life in NMIT.
Placements: Our college has a very good reputation for placements. Many students prefer our college over other similar colleges in this regard. Most of the students are placed during placements. Many students have 2-3 job offers before leaving the campus. It is one of the positive points of our college.
Infrastructure: The hostel has space required for comfort and privacy to be maintained. It has a Wi-Fi facility with good internet speed. We have a good library too. Our classrooms are also above average. The quality of food could have been better. A playground is also very good. The canteen and other food junctions are pretty famous on our campus.
Faculty: A majority of the teachers are qualified and very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good, and only some teachers may not be favored by the students. The curriculum is a bit difficult to cover up in a small space of time. They could do better with communication with students regarding the curriculum.
Other: Our campus is very beautiful and I feel happy to be here. I can proudly say that we conduct many beautiful and big fests in the town. There are many scholarship programs run in our college. I would like to improve our courses syllabus, which is a bit too hectic.

As it is a demanding course in this college the fee structure for the electrical department is 3 lakh per anum. There is a huge competition for this so you must do well and achieve the best.
